Thank you for this! Entering AP mode on my phone was not working as expected, so it wasn't clear I had to manually swap to wifi settings and connect to the switch's network. Even after that, I had to turn off the feature that checks for internet connectivity when joining a new network. Just having the prompt pop up was preventing the process from returning to the app to start pairing.
@@JakeHamilton-ft4lg The problem started when we had a hiccup in our power which temporary turned off our wifi for a few minutes, so I followed another instruction online that says just toggle the circuit breaker the light switch is on again and that worked. I don't think my problem could be solved with the traditional method, basically had to do a hard reset (powering off a while).

The issue with the right one is that it’s the older version. I bought mine at Costco and you’ll see they have two separate SKU part numbers
