This is a Yellow Fin Tuna freak show!! This is the way top water casting is done!
You get a large lure you chase fish and either way you start casting that line in the water.. Tuna here are flying out of the water! Breaking the surface and smashing the lines

All time day man congratulations. We have been getting in to them down south and managed to get a short bill spearfish a few weeks back while chasing fin . We got a short bill last year as well . The last few years there have been really good numbers of yellowfin around. Keep the vids coming that was epic

There was not one bit of fish that was wasted I can guarantee that
I fed several family members and clients and friends.
Also had a local pastor turn up and pick up a full fish and the frame to feed his church goers.
Now we were on these fish for a total of 2 hours and caught 5 which all were bleeding heavily…
We left them biting.. and traveled home as quick as we could and started processing.. we didn’t foresee catching 1let alone 5.. so yes we were underprepared. My mate even forgot his knives for the boat… but we did our best with what we had.
Sorry you had to write this, but we were doing our best with the situation we had… and I would be surprised if and Brisbane fisho who has t had this sort of session before , would have left as early as we did
