- Habibati! I know I keep saying that Dimash is an alien, but then when you guys tell me that he actually sang a song that was MEANT for an alien, that just confirms it. This is his rendition of 'The Diva Dance' from the film The Fifth Element, and he combines it with another song 'Confessa' which I don't know much about. What I do know however, is that the combination of those 2 songs back to back are an amazing 1-2 punch of vocal power & ability. He sets us up with the first one only to knock us out with the second. Simply amazing.

Many singers (male or female) have tried. Nobody sings this song as perfectly as Dimash. He is the only person who sings this song flawlessly. He reaches the highs as well as the lows effortlessly and he delivers all riffs and runs and staccati accurately.🌼🇩🇪

Now you know why the fans of Dimash seek him out daily. You can understand now the reason we devote so much time trying to promote Dimash, and trying to help him become better known throughout the world. We owe it to him. We keenly feel that sense of gratitude for the beauty he has added to this world. The profound experience he gives to each of us individually, song after song, is certainly captivating and addicting. However, the sheer amount of dedication, effort, and years he has put into perfecting and honing his voice and performance is a humbling realization.
Confessa is song of heart break. A womans heart has strayed and broken the heart of our dear Dimash. That is the emotion that he is singing with. What is so interesting is the complexity that he sings this song at age 22. Even without understanding the lyrics, you somehow feel the meaning in your soul as he sings. He is telling story. But more than that, he is exposing all the complex feelings contained in the song..... He releases all the feelings that he has taken into his heart as if it was he who was betrayed. He sings with vulnerability to a girl he still loves. He feels great sorrow at this love that is slipping away and yet he's pleading to the girl for explanation....pleading for a confession. And as he asks her, "What have you done with our good times? Our laughter our dinners....all these scenes now gone forever." On stage, Dimash in his turning and his hand gestures is following the dancer in white with such longing but always two or three steps behind her....never quite reaching her. Until he can't take it anymore. He explodes with anger and anguish falling to his knees and pounding the floor in frustration that she cheated on him and threw their love away. How could she?? And then as the anger fades he revisits the memory of her. By touching her hand , his voice softens and expresses that love and tenderness once more before letting it go. The last line of the song is something to the effect of "you have to risk loving someone in order to be loved" It is just an absolute masterpiece performance and I don't know why it doesn't seem to rank higher on everyone's favorites. It is a gift of a performance that he gave us. So amazing!
And can we just talk about how he starts the song in Chinese and then switches to Italian. The vowels and placement of singing those two languages is completely different. The skill and mindfulness it takes to flip into another language while maintaining the intensity and the meaning of the song, it's crazy. He doesn't break the spell he has on us....not once. Instead, it intensifies it. He's a Kazakh man singing to a Chinese audience a song written in Italian..... and what does he do at the end? He changes his language to alien LOL. No really....who can do all of that? Dimash can.
The range alone of this 4 1/2 minute performance should knock anyone back in their seat. He starts so low in Confessa....an F2 (in the second octave).... that's like rock bottom. Then he jumps up 3 octaves and belts in a mix voice up to an F#5 (fifth octave). And then while doing the Diva dance in his soprano voice, he hits all the way up to an E6 (sixth octave). in staccato. That is crazy range. And, he is not only moving through the octaves multiple times, but doing so seamlessly.
The man is gifted. just look at him, listen to him and your belief in God should be confirmed. He has taken all the natural gifts he was given and spent years growing them and using them to their full potential. It humbles me that I have not done half so well on the gifts that I was given. He is good for this world. He is good for humanity. He is one of the best of us. And we should all not only thank him but help him ....in any way that we are able.... so that he may touch more lives through his captivating song and spirit.

Dimash was so lovely and so humble when he was backstage with the other contestants during this program. He was the youngest. Then he came on stage and turned into a superstar naturally. The audience completely fell in awe of him.

Isn’t Dimash the BEST? I feel like he is. There’s no one like him. Just his vocals alone are beyond belief and his stage presence and his performances are beyond entertainment. Yes, he’s got it all!! За каждое выступление на этом соревновании в Китае Димашу можно давать Grammy. Слава богу там было 14 туров и можно было насладиться Димашем вовсю. Но его всегда мало. В Китае сразу поняли что к чему и ему устраивали концерты, выступления, интервью чуть ли не каждый день. For us Dears it is hard to believe that he has not already achieved world fame. Well, in the eastern hemisphere he already has world fame. The western hemisphere is still hesitant as neither his voice nor his songs are mainstream. The westerners like undemanding, simple and danceable music. Dimash's art is none of that.
The only thing we can do is spread the word. He is the best. Period.
I am a Dear from Arkansas, 🇺🇸. I have been a Dear for 1 year and 5 months. I also don't get why Dimash isn't more known here?! I have run into only 4-5 others (who know him or know of him) in my state in the time I have been a Dear. I wouldn't call any of them Dears though.😒 I do my best to introduce others to him, but they just aren't moved like a Dear is. It is sad not to have one person that you can share Dimash with, face to face. So let's push Dimash as much as we can! We need someone like him for our young people to look up to!

Of all of Dimash's qualities, the one I most appreciate is his respect towards others. In whatever field you work, for whatever talent you have and whatever your circumstances, if you try the best you can do with what you have, Dimash will be at your feet honoring you.

The man they put the camera on, is his father. Both parents are singers and started Dimash on voice lessons at age 5. He speaks and sings in multiple languages and plays several instruments. He's total proof that God blesses people.

Confessa is beautiful and dramatic. But he has surpassed himself with the Diva Dance at the Bastau concert. You will be blown away with how an already excellent performance can be even further improved. But for Dimash it is possible. React to that version as well and in the near future.

Actually his two other versions of the Diva Dance are even better. My favorite is the duet he's done this year with Li Yugnag, where they sing Drunken Concubine and Diva Dance. Li Yugang is a master of traditional Peking Opera, where he specializes in female roles. Dimash and Li Yugang are bost masters, but very different, and they complement each other perfectly.

I have used the word stunning before, but , now I am using it correctly. On so many (too many) levels Dimash is just stunning. I listen and watch for the journey each performance can take you on. Recommendation for the next journey, is either Know - vocalize version, or Across Endless Dimensions (the octave jump transforms the song). Enjoy your channel and your performances.. keep it up!

Esta canción(diva dance) la ha ido mejorando a través del tiempo y mejorando no sólo la calidad interpretativa sino también vocal, hay una presentación con otro cantante chino que es fenomenal y otra en un concierto que es maravillosa, se nota como Dimash no deja de buscar nuevas formas de mejorar cada vez más.

Great reaction! He does deserve so much more recognition, but being not from an English speaking country, it makes it harder as you probably know. And also, he didn't want to sell his soul to a record label that will make him super famous and rich but lock him in and sabotage his art, he wants to do it on his terms and be free to sing whatever he wants. It's so admirable but off course it takes longer. I believe that with the support of growing amount of fans around the world, it will happen eventually.
