I’m a third year interior architecture and design student and I’m doing my first internship right now actually. I’m so so glad to see your channel because there are not a lot of designers who take the time to educate others on their profession this way! When I first made the switch to design school from biomedical sciences I was so let down by the lack of designers online sharing their knowledge. It can be a very secretive field. I wanted to compliment you, and say that I really admire you and hope to be as successful and gracious as you one day. I love the ‘day in the life’ videos bc it gives a real perspective for those interested, like myself. My internship right now is strictly residential and is limited to a lot of decorating, which is something I am not particularly drawn to. So, seeing your channel has definitely reenergized me because what you do is so similar to what we do in school, and I’m thrilled to see it in action in the professional world. Ps. You remind me of Sandra Bullock. You are both rock stars
OMG!!! you just gave me so much more motivation!! I've been wanting to become an interior designer since I was 12 years old! and I am now 23 finally pursuing this dream ! Thank you!!!!
You are such a role model! I discovered you through Netflix! I am 26 and finally decided to leave behind the boring 9-5pm desk job as a project coordinator to pursue my dream is design. I figured it out a little later in life than I would have liked but we live and we learn! I am excited! Love the day in the life episodes btw!
I'm a project coodinator now and have done some interior design in my role, but now wish for it to be my full time role. How are you doing with it? Are you now an intrior designer?
I can never get bored with anything that’s related to Interior designing. I’m obsessed with it. I’ve been wanting to take courses on Interior Design since I could remember but people around me always discouraged me. Now, after many years passed by I’m seriously thinking about it. It’s been my passion!😀
Peace Maker I just watched the two year old video posted on Google by the young woman and wanted to point out that to say that “picking paint and fabric is boring” is an unfair and blanketed statement. I am a space planner by nature and that is something you’ll learn about yourself during your studies or on your internship maybe even your first job! You’re right, nothing about interior design is boring... “if you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life!”
@@rozenart5768 You said it right. My love for ID starts from just decorating, picking furniture pieces, paint and fabric and it's not boring at all. It actually can be hard if you really want to excel at that. I think every task, as simple as it may sound, has many different levels. Karin herself is not an excellent decorator just yet. She knows how to do a project from start to finish but I feel like her soft furnishing aspect is still lacking.
@@phong5475 I wanted to get into a ID program at a community college, but is not an accredited school, do you think there would be a problem? I am already in college for something else, and I am almost done, so I was planning to go back and study ID once I am done
Love this! I'm from Dallas, TX. Started working in the design industry when I was 16 years old! I took inventory of memo samples for a showroom that manufactured furniture. Worked my way up to an Auto Cad technician. They paid for my design degree and expenses. School was awesome but there's nothing like experience. I was there for 10 years! Tomorrow marks my 6 month anniversary since I've been on my own as an interior designer. Currently looking for a small office space and you all give me so much inspiration!!! Love it all! Designing is everything to me.
I love the style of your videos and I think this video is really amazing and informative. I'm an interior design student in the US and my design program is CIDA (counsel for interior design) accredited. I think it's important to look for an accredited college, research ASID and other accredited organizations and get involved because this field is all about networking! I like that you mentioned going to a school that is savvy in technical drawings because that is so important, Otherwise you will not be able to design! Another important tip is if your school doesn't teach you about building codes, definitely start to learn them. It will help you out immensely in the long run! This field is so dynamic and I love it, but you need to be positive you want to get into it because it is a lot of work. :) I hope this comment helped!
same for Canada too! I wish she would have mentioned that part because regulations are changing and theres a huge push for designers to be able to sign off on their own drawings. I am in a CIDA accredited program as well and it's not easy at, AT ALL.
MrMclovinJunior very true! It’s so challenging and time consuming and there’s more to it than people realize. I mean I learn about construction methods and materials, lighting, codes, and of course, sustainable design along with a bunch of other topics most people don’t think of when they think of interior design. In the states you have to pass the NCIDQ (industry standard exam) to become a professionally recognized designer. You don’t HAVE To, but to be of a certain level to work on higher projects and up your pay(which who wouldn’t want to??) is the way to go. Very important stuff I felt like sharing, cuz even I didn’t know of this when I began school!
Isabella Ramirez hello, thank you very much for your comment, actually I already have a degree from civil engineering but would like to move to interior designing , I would be very grateful if someone help me with interior design fundamentals. IF you think there some materials from any website or books so I can get it before starting school I will be really appreciated.
I’m from the Philippines and I am an upcoming freshmen and is enrolled in a university under the course, Interior Design. I am excited because you inspire me so much. 💛 I want to be an Interior Designer ever since and I just discovered your channel recently and I love them. Watching you made me more passionate about choosing interior design as my course and soon to be profession. God bless!!!
im 22 years old and currently trying to learn as much as I can about interior design. I recently just found myself being really passionate about it (after having no idea what I wanted to do) and ive only watched a few of your videos and just wanna say thank you because it has really helped me see what it looks like to actually be an interior designer unlike other videos i’ve watched. very inspiring!
Not boring at all. Watching your videos have only made my interest in Interior Design much more stronger. You and your team have inspired me to do so much more with this path.
I’m 22 years old and I’ve been lost not knowing what I’ve wanted to do and it sucks because I have a 1 year old and I have to be role model for her! I’ve always been interested in design and just did not know what! Watching your videos showed me where my passion is! I’m never not watching your videos!!!!! THANK YOU!!!
Not sure if this applies to Canada, but for viewers in the US, check out your local community college! Several in California offer ID certificates that will prepare you for the certification exam. I originally saw a counselor who showed me the starting path then I ran into the ID lead a few weeks later and she helped tailor the courses I need to take to make my first steps! I'll be starting ID classes in the fall or spring of next year and I am very excited! I'm also working on my Business Administration degree with finance emphasis for the business side of what I want to do. I don't think you necessarily have to go to design school as long as you get the besic certification, I think the majority of your skills and knowledge will come from hands on experience at whatever firm you decide to work with. I hope someone finds this helpful. Good luck!
Vanessa Bouyea Yay, Thanks your comment on my channel Vanessa and being part of this community. Good luck on starting your ID training. I’m sure you’ll love it! ❤️ xK
Hey Hunn, You might want to go to CCIDC.org because you can take the exam but that doesn't mean you'll meet the qualifications to get certification to legally be called an interior designer. You have to meet a minimum amount of years in school/in the field experience.. I also want to be an interior designer and Im going to school in California. I would double check on what you've been told just to make sure your good to go love :) (Meet the minimum Qualifications to sit for the IDEX California® Exam, do not qualify to complete certification after passing the IDEX. CCIDC will keep application and test results on file until Candidate provides proof of completion of remaining qualifications to certify. Candidates must meet one of the following minimum qualifications: Minimum of 40 Semester Core Units from accredited design program (60 Quarter Units) - OR - More than 5 but less than 8 years of diversified design experience.) I pulled this from the site for you as just an FYI (this is only a small part)
Hey Vanessa I was just wondering, for example what is one course you would need to take for interior design...? say if you did go to a community college...
I find your daily videos incredibly helpful. The insight into the field, hearing and seeing other members of your team as they work with you, and tips like the one you gave today about how "no matter how hungry you are, without experience, you wouldn't be hired" are really helpful because sometimes people around you make you think schooling is not needed for interior design
I want to be an interior designer, when im done with high school. i started to watch your videos to see what im getting myself into. I love it alike. thank you for showing me your daily life as a interior designer.
Hi, After being a professional interior designer for over 8 years, I recently published a book describing the essentials for any up and coming Interior Designer. Check it out and enjoy :) www.dclaxtoninteriors.com/marketplace/interiordesignhandbook
I am not bored at all! I love these videos for showing us the reality of the interior design process in a firm and the work of an entrepreneur. This is like free shadowing days in the field that we love with the best people. It's motivating and inspirational!
Thank you so much Karin! This video was extremely helpful. I'm about to start an interior design/decorating program in January here in Charleston SC. I'm a wife and mom and they offer classes in the evening. It's only for certifications, but after watching your video it has really encouraged me that it really isn’t as important as long as you learn drafting and all the crucial fundamentals of design. Your personal story was huge. I had a teacher in culinary who for some reason “had it out for me”. For some reason she just did not like me and even said mean things to me. It was horrible, so I felt your pain!! However, it was like a comfort to hear I wasn’t the only one who experienced something like that!! Can’t wait to continue to watch your videos. They are so inspiring!!
Desiree Jones Hi Desiree! Thanks for your comment. We’re publishing 2 videos next week - a brand new #Bohnafide and another DITL. Thanks for much for watching and I’m so happy to hear you’re not bored!! xK
NOT BORED of the day in the life stuff!!! I am obsessed! You have inspired me so much to get out on my own. I have a bachelor's in Interior Design but have worked for myself while working part-time for others. All your videos have really caused me to feel empowered, to work on a plan to be on my own, to stop focusing on blogging and social media as first, but back to the hardcore sales. THAT has really helped me. I am not so overwhelmed anymore. I am going out there and meeting with contractors and builders to sell design packages to them. I am getting booked up and feel like this dream of having my own firm is not so far away. Thank you for sharing the truth and the behind the scenes!!! I love seeing how you run your business. I know that no two businesses will look alike, but you also don't take diet advice from a fat man. LOL!! Seeing your success - you definately are an amazing mentor. SO thanks!! I am a huge fan! And I look forward to ANY thing you put out there!!!
Your videos are not at all repetitive. And today's video helped a lot especially that part where you told what you expect when you have to employ someone into your firm. Thank you so much. Totally waiting for your next video. Lots of love all the way from India ❤️
Hi Karin! You are such an inspiration! I am starting my own interior design business and have been thinking I am over my head, but you inspire me everyday to keep going. I have a full time job, working on getting my interior design certificate, while already starting my own business with the opportunity of a side project that led to another project. I am excited and I know this will take a lot of effort, consistency, and resilience, and I try to remind myself of that, when I have doubts and wonder if I am way over my head. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your journey!
Not bored! I'm actually enjoying it.. currently working as a Document Controller for construction company but would like to change career to Interior Designing since it was a childhood dream... loving the smell of wood, paint, textiles... furnitures.. lightings... oh my... I will continue watching your videos!
Karin I LOVE your youtube channel!!! First of all , my name is Moran and I'm 24 years old. I'm an 3rd year interior design student ( we have a degree and it's 4 years of studying) in Israel. I learn in a college called H.I.T which is a short for Holon Institute of technology, and you inspire me to try and open my own TH-cam channel!! BUT.... the different between your design schools in Canada and here in Israel is that our degree is one of the most hard , full time, no sleep, breaks you down kind of studying :( ... We do learn alot and if you love the world of interior design like i do, nothing is going to change your mind 😎 keep inspiring us with you work and projects. PEACE AND LOVE
I just want to say that I find your channel/videos super motivational. I went through a divorce about a year ago and had no idea who I was. I went back to school and started pursuing a career in ID and found your channel somewhere along the way. I aspire to exude that confidence and level of professionalism that you do one day! Keep up the great work!
Not board at all.....After years of wanting to open my own interior design business I’ve finally had the courage to do it. You inspired me in so many ways 👍🏼🤘🤩
I love your day in a life, keep them coming. I’m a homeschooling mum and am sooo passionate about project management and interior design, so I like to live vicariously through your videos haha. Also, this video was helpful and informative. Thank you :)
nooo we would never get bored watching your videos and your lifestyle , been learning a lot from your ideas and creativity . plss plss plss keep on making videos and updates about your career cuz you inspire people more power
omg - your portfolio at 12.05 mins is stunning... congratulations... and I was loving my studies for dip interior design, when the college when into receivership - switched to building and construction with government college (affordable - none of them offer interior design where I can attend) so I now how things work from the ground up - and then thought that I don't want to deal with problematic real estate agents, so I thought I'd grab my licence so I know the workings of that industry... I've decided that my passion for interior design is a 'natural' and I'll pursue that with or without my formal qualification... you are inspiring Karin...
Hey!! Please make more such videos! Forget getting bored, your videos are only getting more addictive by the day and I binge watch your videos! Lots of love!
Hey Karin, and no, I am NOT BORED AT ALL! ALL of your content is so sooth, professional and INTERESTING!!! Also, i was wondering what the difference between interior design and interior decorating. Thanks so much!
I’m still in high school(10th grade) and i am taking college classes where we are learning AutoCAD and REVIT, by the time i graduate I will almost have a degree in drafting. Then I plan to go to interior design school! These videos make me excited for my future! Thank you!💗😘
i'm in 10th grade right now & i'd love to know, did you follow through with your goal to go to design school? how is it? I'm also thinking of doing the same :)
Just discovered your channel and already binge watching your videos because of how realistic you could get us a glimpse of the industry and other stuff that comes with interior designing ❤️
I love these day in the life videos! As someone who aspires to own their own business someday, it is really valuable to see how a successful woman runs her business. I also like the fact that you don’t sugarcoat anything for your viewers, when something sucks, you say that it sucks. Thank you for being such an inspiration! P.S. Love the shoes!
I find your videos so informative and you have such a positive vibe on what you are doing that I am always excited to see a new one of you posted on TH-cam. I am NEVER bored by anything you have to tell us all. Keep on sending more vids!!
Thank you for such a different take on social media with regards to interior design. Your channel is EXACTLY what I was looking for when I wanted more information and a birds eye view into design! From advice of being a designer to showing how you run your business, I am a fan all around!!!
Hi Karin, I am recent subscriber and have been going through all of your videos and truly fell in love with all of them. I am interior design assistant currently so watching these "day in the life" videos are really enjoyable and relatable to watch. Love seeing what you and your team do each day. As well as, seeing the other side of things (business). I hope to one day own a little boutique interior design firm. But, for now just enjoying being able to gain as much experience as I can with what I'm doing now. It is really cool to see you using youtube as outlet to let people know about interior design and etc. Thanks for inspiring me and others. So, thank you and your wonderful team for all the handwork you all have put in. Been enjoying these videos so much! Wishing you the best, Lyndsey
Love these videos! I am the only interior designer at a company with over 1000 employees and your videos make me feel like I am working with other designers. Don’t stop doing DITL videos!
I stumbled across your channel these evening for the very first time, and I have been binge-watching. I love your content, and your drive. As an aspiring interior designer, I am truly inspired by you!
Finally I found you, you can’t believe how happy I am when I realized you are in Vancouver, I am leaving in Vancouver too . I really like what you are doing, your career, your passion to your work, your life style everything about video. Thank you very much for existing .
I was really blown away by this video. It felt so real and gave me such a useful perspective on interior design. I'm not from Canada but I would go to Vancouver to study if it meant that I could be a fine interior designer/ entrepreneur just like you.
It's motivating! I am interior design student, at first it feels hard. So many tasks, and so many events to get more relations with people, so we don't have so much time to chill, or even sleep. It takes only 2 hours per day for me to sleep, yeah and I got the good eye-bags for an appointment :") but it's fun! I really enjoy this kind of daily routines
Karin...I hate to be just another voice here in the comments saying "You're great inspiration!" but....you truly are! I couldn't agree with you more, taking the design courses that involve color theories along with architecture and contextual space are so enjoyable for me. I never feel like I'm in school in my Art and Design classes. Just wanted to let you know that my favorite videos of yours are the "Day in the Life", I love seeing your office.
Such an amazing informative video. I'm currently a junior in High School (U.S) and as part of being a Junior, I had to really think about what career path I want to pursue after school. And from your videos and my eye for Art, I strongly feel that I can do it. I can become an interior designer. Thank you so much for the advice 💛 oh! by the way, I still want you to have a show on HGTV!
The best way to become and interior designer or even decorator is to go to school for it. Most Canadian colleges have interior design programs and decorating programs ranging from 1-4 years. You learn lots and gain a lot of experience through the programs and knowledge from the profs who are also designers or retired designers and it helps getting a foot in the door with your degree and a built portfolio to find a job in a firm, be self employed or wherever else. I’m currently in a 2 year program. They teach you so much more than you would being self taught.
Your videos give me life! I am a new subscriber and I am a kitchen and bathroom designer! I will be graduating university here in Ontario in 2019 in a fine arts program while I work as a designer at my dad's business and showroom. Seeing other people's day-in-the-life makes me so happy and it re-fuels me everyday to go back and be inspired. Thank you for sharing your journey!
not boring or repetitive at all! I don't even work in your field but I find it really fascinating to follow along on someone else's work day because it's so different than mine! :)
Gracias! sos muy inspiradora! me recibi de Diseñadora de Interiores hace pocos días y tu video es lo que necesito ver. Thank you, you are amazing, xo from Argentina.
I love ur day in the life vids. People need to see the amount of work and complexity. When a client says to me - you have my dream job. They have no clue how labor intensive it is. And I see what my boss goes thru scaling up. It’s brutal. I’m glad I’m not the owner. You are really great Karin.
thank you very much Karin!! nowadays after i graduated univ, i have beein thinking again and again that I want to change my career. And your video gives me some answers of my future career :) Thanks very much ❤️👍🏻
I am attending an interior decoration, design and styling 3 year course now, and hoping to become successful like you Karin! You are a big role model for me!
Thank you very much. I may be able to get a job as an intern right away but my gut instinct was sort of telling me to wait until I’ve done the school and training for it, so that I don’t have a bad experience and get turned off. You just confirmed what my guy was telling me
I have just graduated as an Architectural Technologist and i am now going for Advanced Diploma in Interior Design, I am looking forward to the Interior Design field.#Excited
I particularly really liked this video b/c you answered a question I didn't even know I had. Tbh i had gotten slightly bored of the day to day videos. But I personally love a storyline, or content with a problem/solution/outcome. I think that's why your bonafide episodes resonate with me so much. But I love all your videos, big thanks to you and your team. Whenever I feel like juggling design school and work is getting too tough, I always revisit your channel and get my inspiration back! I love designing btw.
I love love love this channel! I’m in School for Interior Design in Colorado and I recently found and binge watch your videos. It is never boring. The content keeps me motivated to keep moving forward and working hard. Thanks so much and I hope the videos continue!
My journey from fitness to outdoor education got me a place in my job as a venue exec in a sports facility hub. Through my own life experiences and circumstances, I also grew up fixing the house and having big ideas for spaces. Never have I thought I would have the potential to venture into interior design until I realised I came up with floor plans for my own home to fix everything by myself and always wanted to do carpentry work too. My current career as a venue exec involves maintainence and function deployment and it's definitely a learning journey to hopefully add on to my starting career and knowledge. Hoping to save up to school for interior design and architecture someday.
I am into Interior Design school now. I got into this short course since my parents are both architect and we have a wood works, steel works and housing design business.
Definitely not bored---it feels like getting an apprenticeship to see if you even like this kind of stuff. Not a lot of opportunity to see how "career paths" translate into the real world, see how it falls into place, and also see how business is balanced with the design.
Congrats on being on Creator on the Rise! Welcome to the club! Great to see quality content done by a fellow woman on TH-cam! Going to catch up on all this great content!
Hello! I am not bored with the day in life. You are helping me so much in my business. How to manage a team and how to keep it together even when it's a stressful day.
Found your channel today and loved this clip. I have a Bachelor degree Infrastructure-Architecture and my schooling feels like the basics for everything in design&build process. So your vids are really interesting to watch
omg your story at design school is exactly like mine. my teacher also failed me in my thesis project during my undergrad architecture school and i was shattered and i had to re-do my thesis course again...you did well by leaving the school
This is my FIRST time watching this video and I watched without SKIPPING A SECOND thought you should know! Please keep giving me inspiring people😊 And no we are not bored it’s what I wanted to know .. what’s inside. So thank you❤️
Thank you for addressing the subject answering my question. You are great 💕I don't think that your daily videos are boring or repetitive, I always learn something new.
Karin, I love to hear about entrepreneurs back grounds, how they started and what inspired them. The divinity seeds or sparks of light at the beginning that ignited the pathway. The fact that you did not finish your second year of design school is so characteristic of the risk taking entrepreneurial spirit. You had the vision, trust and confidence combined with your job experience at the time to learn the rest by doing. It is so interesting in life when we are presented with signs and situations that flag us to take action and make a change! You most defiantly took action in the right direction! Thank you for all that you share. Your inspiration is electric. +++ (Now not at all to dissuade design students or future design students reading this from pursuing graduation because the knowledge is so ESSENTIAL as you mentioned and NEEDED for job acceptance if you are not able to get it anywhere else.)
In our country you have to be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, a 4 Year course with a corresponding Licensure exam. Here, you can’t call yourself an Interior Designer when you do not have a license. More vids like this pls! 💕
I’m trying to find a path of education for me, your complete honesty about interior design made me fall in love with it even more- you an an inspiration THANKS!
Loved this Karen and love the day in the life of! Absolutely agree about employability if you have a technical background. So many courses/degrees and diplomas are design based in our industry and students pay a fortune for information that doesn't lead to employable skills, sadly that's why there are so many unemployed interior design graduates out there. Love your stuff! xx
Karin, thank you so much for this video. It was full of great tips. Also, I don't get bored with your Day in the Life type videos. It's really interesting to see the variety that you have in your work day. Can I ask you to consider doing a "what's in my bag" video? I'm interested in knowing what designers carry around with them, and what you consider to be essential tools of your trade. Your wheelie bag always looks really heavy! Another idea for a video could be your systems (e.g. how your samples are filed) and work flow practices in your office. I'm currently studying interior design in Australia & I find your content so informative and interesting. Thank you to you and your team for all the work you put into your channel 👏🏼
Just finding your videos! I just graduated from FIDM earning my A.A in visual Communications! Drafting class was part of my program at school, but unfortunately they took it out and I never got to take it :/ I truly do agree with you and think that it is a very important skill to learn just as much as knowing how to render by hand or digitally! I am now considering going to RMCAD for interior design, & your videos are really inspiring and make me see the true reality of an Interior Designer 🖤
Hey Karin!! I'm an Interior designer too..... running my own business since last ten years called ARTERRA Interiors. I just found you're open hearted & I appreicate your work. Peace & luv from INDIA!
I love all your content! I recently just got a management position at a HR outsourcing firm and I love your vlogs and details about how to manage and so forth. I’m also itching to start my own business and don’t know where to start! You’ve given me so much motivation!
Hi! I am not bored at all! I'm considering studying interior design and this is helpful to me to see if it's something I would enjoy! :) I'm enjoying it!
You are such an inspiration to me right now!! Thank you. I have been thinking about interior design for a while now but it’s a scary jump for me considering I’ve already gone to school in a totally different field. I am moving to Vancouver area and am looking at schools in the area. I guess like you said everyone’s path will be different and I just have to do it already! Lol. I will continue to follow your channel :)
Love your blogs! please keep doing them. BTW I'm from Argentina, and we got courses that last a few months but the Interior Designer career as I took lasted 4 years... so when people ask me "do you need to go to Interior Design school to be an Interior Designer" I'm like YES! if you really care about it and it is your passion, 2-4 years of school won't kill you... there are so many fun and interesting things to learn there :)
This is such an inspiring, helpful video. It's always a little more reassuring when you hear about other people who get into a profession or industry a little bit later; I'm in my early 30s, already did my graduate degree in another field, and am worried about trying to get into another field, but this video was very encouraging. Thanks so much!
Wow this inspires me a lot. This jobs may seem to sound hard but it excites me. Nothing really matters if youre doing what you really love. Hoping that some day I can get where I wanted to be. And this is where i wanted to be😂🙊
Hi Karin and team! I am a new subscriber and thrilled to have come upon your channel. Your content is so motivating, I am not in the design industry however have a major addiction to space planning and interior design and am enjoying living vicariously through your vlogs! The production and quality of your videos is superb this was an excellent move on your part btw, it is so refreshing as a subscriber to see such consistently beautifully produced content. Your evening editing sessions pay off! Love your design style. Hooked and binge watching! Can't wait for the upcoming Bohnafide shoots. Best of luck!
I’m a third year interior architecture and design student and I’m doing my first internship right now actually. I’m so so glad to see your channel because there are not a lot of designers who take the time to educate others on their profession this way! Perfectly said!
hey girl! may I ask what schools do you recommend in the US for interior design?
I was planning to get into a program of interior design in a community college that is not accredited, do you think that would affect too much?
OMG!!! you just gave me so much more motivation!! I've been wanting to become an interior designer since I was 12 years old! and I am now 23 finally pursuing this dream ! Thank you!!!!
Not bored at all. It feels more natural in that way. Have a good day KB ✌️
viane kyabega Hi Viane. Ok great - happy to hear that you’re loving the DITL! ❤️ xK
Hi... just want to know your thoughts about online interior design short courses. Thank you.

This is exactly where I am now! Trying to leave corporate tech project coordination for design. Inspired that you did it!

I actually LOVE the day in the life episodes please don't stop!!!
Rutendo xox Yay! Ok great, thanks for your feedback. 💋💋💋 xK
I like real time real episodes from real professionals!!!
Isabella Ramirez So helpful to US viewers/readers. Thanks!
same for Canada too!
Isabella Ramirez Hi! All good feedback and comments and I couldn’t agree more. Thanks so much for watching and being part of this community! ❤️ xK
I'm also from Philippines, can I know what University you study Interior Design?
@@augustinec.4388 Hello! UST 💛
I hope you're all well in taking up the interior design course. ☺️
im 22 years old and currently trying to learn as much as I can about interior design.
Not bored at all. I’m not into interior design. But you are providing other gems like how to be a business woman. How to build your brand.
❤️ xK
Hey Hunn,
You might want to go to CCIDC.org because you can take the exam but that doesn't mean you'll meet the qualifications to get certification to legally be called an interior designer. You have to meet a minimum amount of years in school/in the field experience.. I also want to be an interior designer and Im going to school in California. I would double check on what you've been told just to make sure your good to go love :)
(Meet the minimum Qualifications to sit for the IDEX California® Exam, do not qualify to complete certification after passing the IDEX. CCIDC will keep application and test results on file until Candidate provides proof of completion of remaining qualifications to certify.
Candidates must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:
Minimum of 40 Semester Core Units from accredited design program (60 Quarter Units) - OR -
More than 5 but less than 8 years of diversified design experience.)
I pulled this from the site for you as just an FYI (this is only a small part)
Check it out and enjoy :)

I am not bored at all! I love these videos for showing us the reality of the interior design process in a firm and the work of an entrepreneur. This is like free shadowing days in the field that we love with the best people. It's motivating and inspirational!
Madalina Dan Hi! Yay, ok great. Thanks so much for your comment and your feedback. 💕 xK
They are so inspiring!!
the videos aren't boring and I know a lot of us wish we could get more than one video a week
Desiree Jones CANNOT WAIT!! That's the juicy stuff for me❤ (even though I still love the daily!)
You are an inspiration! Thanks for sharing this. I feel you very honest and humble.
Laura Buitrón Yay. Thanks for you comment Laura and thanks for watching! ❤️ xK
I love the way she says “good morning “. Very refreshing
These 'day in the life' episodes are not boring at all. Actually this is my favorite series on TH-cam...❤️ Please don't stop making them...Love you 😊
nooo we would never get bored watching your videos and your lifestyle , been learning a lot from your ideas and creativity . plss plss plss keep on making videos and updates about your career cuz you inspire people more power
omg - your portfolio at 12.05 mins is stunning... congratulations... and I was loving my studies for dip interior design, when the college when into receivership - switched to building and construction with government college (affordable - none of them offer interior design where I can attend) so I now how things work from the ground up - and then thought that I don't want to deal with problematic real estate agents, so I thought I'd grab my licence so I know the workings of that industry...
We love your videos nothing is boring about it. Actually I learned a lot of staff from you using this natural method to deliver information.
Video popped back up on my feed today! I really needed this video, to keep me rooted in faith! Thank you!
i love the environment u gyss have at the office. it just looks soo good and peaceful.
Hi Karin,
I am recent subscriber and have been going through all of your videos and truly fell in love with all of them.
Wishing you the best,
Lyndsey
TH-cam channel Hi!! Yay, I’m so happy to be able to inspire. Thanks so much for watching my content. ❤️ xK
Love this information! I am attending VCAD right now - I am so passionate about design, seeing videos like this has me so excited for the future!
Gracias! sos muy inspiradora! me recibi de Diseñadora de Interiores hace pocos días y tu video es lo que necesito ver.
I'm currently in design school and this video is always so motivating for me.
thank you very much Karin!! nowadays after i graduated univ, i have beein thinking again and again that I want to change my career.
Not bored at all! I love it. It makes me feel like Im there, which is so inspirational🥰❤️❤️
Love these videos not getting bored at all it's amazing to see the good and bad sides of interior design and business.
I am into Interior Design school now. I got into this short course since my parents are both architect and we have a wood works, steel works and housing design business.
I love the day in the life videos! They are not repetitive. Keep them coming!
Please keep giving me inspiring people😊
And no we are not bored it’s what I wanted to know .. what’s inside. So thank you❤️
I really love that you show you day to day work.
Don’t stop the day in the life !!! Please!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
(Now not at all to dissuade design students or future design students reading this from pursuing graduation because the knowledge is so ESSENTIAL as you mentioned and NEEDED for job acceptance if you are not able to get it anywhere else.)
In our country you have to be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, a 4 Year course with a corresponding Licensure exam. Here, you can’t call yourself an Interior Designer when you do not have a license. More vids like this pls! 💕
Andrics Clemente which country?
I love the office vlogs, they’re real and I like the insight that it gives me of how working as an interior designer is like.
So smart, so skilled, hard working and very fashionable all together you’re perfect, I really adore you.
this whole channel is very helpful and feels very authentic. i want to become an interior designer so this video helps greatly.
LOVE the day in a life videos. Thank you for showing your life as an interior design. We’ve been waiting for you!!
Not boring at all! Just real, and that's your strenght!
definitely not bored with these videos, it’s really insightful and a very helpful video 💕
Nali Malungu Yay. Ok great. Thanks for watching! 💕 xK
Not bored at all! we love the day in the life videos and they are really helpful!
Hello i am interior designer from Delhi ( india)
Glad to see you there would like to learn a lot from you.
Hey Karin!! I'm an Interior designer too..... running my own business since last ten years called ARTERRA Interiors. I just found you're open hearted & I appreicate your work. Peace & luv from INDIA!
just the portfolio you exhibit here - wonderful
