thank you! I really wanted to be an interior designer without having a degree. I'm only doing this out of interest and maybe passion, and also to design my own home. :))
@@Tttttttttttttttt484 Hiii! thanks for checking out I really appreciate it! I'm passionate about arts in general, to be honest, and I have a lot of things I wanna do. Right now, I wanna do drawing because I saved enough money to purchase a drawing tablet. I'm still a 2nd-year college student so it's kind of hard to juggle passions and school. I should look into books and videos about the principles of interior design, maybe, and will be able to grasp some knowledge about it. I'll just work hard so maybe this passion in art will go out well. Thank you so much for checking out, seriously!! Take care always!
hi guys! I bought a drawing tablet on my birthday last 2022 and I’ve been designing my own stickers and selling them. I’ve been doing commission works for friends and focused on my other passions as time pass by. Right now, I’m doing photography while doing some graphics work sometimes. I’d probably take some courses in the future to really learn interior designing or I can just learn through youtube. Thanks guys for asking an update. Sorry I just replied now. Life’s been rough lately
You made me feel so confident about becoming an interior designer, I'm only 15 and I'm researching this for my LIFE ORIENTATION assessment about my future career, but know I'll make sure I pursue my dreams about becoming an interior designer even if my school that I go to does not have the subjects required for this. Thank you sooooo much n I love you 😄😄😄😄😄
Take drafting and art classes in school now. It’s help you learn the basics, that way if you don’t go to college for this, you can continue to teach yourself.
The best video I have seen about becoming an interior designer, especially being self taught. Clear, objective and sincere. I look forward to looking at your courses and finishing if one fits me.

She’s not rlly too handy when it comes to tech and doing all of the photoshop and wat not but she’s a great drawer! Looking at the comments I can’t tell if this lady’s tips work or if she should just go back to school
I'm currently in my 4th semester of Interior Design school and although your video is very informative, there is not enough I could say you would not learn if you don't attend a design school or at the least take a course. Home decorator and interior design are not the same and at least where I live you do need a degree to be an interior designer. The terrible part of all of this is that for example in America you could call yourself an interior designer even without a degree but still technically a home decorator. Interior designers are submerged into the architectural part of the design, you learn 3D model software, the history of art, the psychology behind the design, human factors, color theory, you learn how to do floor plans by hand and drafting techniques, quick sketch and perspective. These are so far some of the few things I've learned from interior design school and it is concerning that all these people can call themselves interior designers just by thinking they know how to put a room together aesthetically.
In your opinion, is it acceptable for someone to learn those things separately (art history, drafting, etc), outside of university on their own time and budget, with classes like hers? I could probably piece together some books from Barnes and Nobel, or just look up what textbooks people are given and buy them on my own, but paying for entire semesters isn't nessisarily within reach at for the foreseeable future.
After wasting my money on a for profit school. Yo I sound exactly like the “professors” there. Now I know there is a difference in design and decoration. Working at a paint store, I see this often with people who call themselves designers… However, there are many ways to teach yourself without having to waste 50k and 4,years of your life in school.
