Cannot enough about how much I enjoyed this talk. As a student of design this was inspiring to say the very least. Thank-you very much Ms. Oldrey. Now back to my books so I can get out there.
Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Jordan Ahmed thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Good talk. Thank you for voicing out the importance of interior designers and how we aren't just for aesthetics but the overall sensory of the user/users of the space we design. I am prod to say that I am an interior design student and our roles in our chosen career is important.
i have been struggling the last few months trying to turn my first apartment into something that feels "like not having a pebble in your shoe" and its so tough, its so easy to put something on the wall or move something to a new location, but trying to understand the relation between an object's functional location and its aesthetics didnt really sink in until recently. function is art and art is function! amazing talk, really catalyzed the stuff i haven't been able to form fully into concrete statements; but have been loosely feeling for the last few months.
Phoebe Oldrey, totally mesmerizing, & much needed talk. I, being an Interior Designer can totally connect with what you want to deliver to every interior designers out-there, & to all those who belong to this respective field. I'm happy I got to watch this in TEDx Talks. Interior Design being a lifestyle, is a very crucial, and sensitive matter too. Thus, I actually want every Interior Designers to understand this and design accordingly. Thank-you for your talk!
Physical, Emotional and Visual aspects of designing...I have finished the interior of my own family's multipurpose room (we are an extended family) last year and after watching this talk all of the emotions, the thoughts, the visions I've had during that time all came back to my thinking...and I was teary-eyed during and after the video. This made me decide to pursue a new job or should I say a purpose in life and let other people's lives "REDESIGNED!"
I tried designing my own apartment but it's just way to hard to make it look 's better to just use professionals like the ones at Snugverse for interior me designing is harder than nuclear physics.
