This car is a gem to drive . The ride comfort is supremely amazing. Only those are the two pros. Cabin is dated , no fancy features etc . It is a car and anyone who enjoys driving will enjoy this car. I am a proud owner of the manual trim since Nov 2020 . Nothing fancy about it , yet it feels amazing.
Duster is a no frill SUV, which comes with great drive and great Off roader ride. Still the best in comparison to Creta and Seltos, these cars just only give just fancy features but no fun in driving. Duster is still king on the roads.
Suv mainly depends on the dynamics of the car, still it's width and length is more than creta and seltos. Duster can taken into any roads due to its approach angle(raised front bumper) and 205mm ground clearnce compared to creta and seltos. Duster had 4x4 model which has same dynamics .
No connected tech is acceptable. It still puts all the basics right including d mileage. I wud still buy it over korean soft roaders.... And last but not least your point about .... THE SIZE, THE ROBUSTNESS & THE PRICE says it all. Be Wise Choose Nice....thanks Rohit
There is a way to use CVT while off-roading. Reviewer doesn’t have enough experience with driving CVT off road. Plus there is manual mode on CVT models
Were you serious when u mentioned "the competition(Creta/Seltos) has better body control" ?? I strongly disagree after driving the new Creta !! Brakes I completely agree should have been upgraded with 150+ hp.
@@shanilkumarc.p.4192 Yes, but the problem is, when we are planning to buy a car, and we test dreve this one and say a Kia back to back, we just feel that we might as well pay a little extra and go with the more luxurious Kia. Our family members are 100% gonna vouch for a more luxurious car. I just feel that in the comments we just type what we feel in our heart, but when we actually buy the vehicle, when we take test drives and all, we tend to move towards the more luxurious vehicle. Just my opinion. If it was me, I'd go with the NextGen Thar😁❤️.
The new engine needed a bit of love with atleast better brakes and suspension if nothing -- if you need to do that aftermarket it destroys the value proposition. The creature comforts are a miss but not a huge one.
One mandatory like for duster.. The True SUV...there r many who crave for a land rover, Range Rover,,, but when u realize a 12 lakh car can do offroading as well.
Nice review. I have a Diesel Duster AWD Gem of a Car-tough roboust & Indestructible. Ride quality is absolutely brilliant 👍 This looks like have a sweet Engine but Renault should have used a bit more tech & creature comforts in this Brilliant Car, the interior looks old. I’m interested & waiting for the AWD
We need to run a campaign to convince Renault India to launch the new generation Duster in India see www.dacia.co.uk/vehicles/duster.html Only an engine upgrade here in an outdated old generation Duster is not enough to win over Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta in Indian Market. Renault Duster is STILL THE BEST SUV which is SPACIOUS AND STURDY for proper off roading BUT new generation needs to be launched ASAP NOW AT THE SAME PRICE
@rohit paradkar How do u compare power , smoothness and drivability of renault 1.3 turbo + x tronic CVT with all new honda 2020 1.5 vtec + CVT. What is ur pick of the two?
Hello OD team, Can you guys please make a comparison video of DUSTER 1.5 and DUSTER 1.3. Most of us want the difference between both and there are very few videos on Duster 1.5 petrol. Also if the price difference of 2 lacs is worth paying extra for the bump in power.
Brown color with red inserts will look stunning.. only the basic features inside cabin make duster old compare to the competition. But apart from that 156 ps power is way to better 👍 stability, responsive, good tunned suspension. After all its korean quality assured.
Your review seems to be biased towards the Korean rivals. The duster till date favours people who enjoy driving and aren’t dependent on modern day gizmos to tell them how to drive
Would like to request you to ask Renault India to settle down the issues regarding the after sales service of this wonderful vehicle. The ratings in this regard always try to kiss the bottom level.
Those who ask for AWD never buy it. It was available at 2 lakh discount before taken off the inventory in Feb 2020. We Indians don't deserve a good car. Because we don't put out our wallets where our heart is.
@@muthukumarannm398 Maybe you are right but I was actually I was waiting for BS 6 Petrol Duster AWD from a very very long time still waiting waiting but it seems now Duster will not come with AWD. There is no other option. This engine will be good with AWD . As an option they can keep at least for few people like us. If they don't give then there is no option but still waiting
bundle interiors..my friend has it...after purchasing it u feel u are sitting in a shady cabin although with a decent engine. No cup holders to keep cans or cubby holes for storing nick nacks
Liked the review, but the car should be down to history books and not on the road. If there would have been a Tata or Mahindra logo on this, it would have been criticised 10 times more.
I went to buy one and then I found these; 1. It has a black and silver dash and brown and blue seats. I wonder which Paris designer did Renault hire ! 2. It takes you a proper while to move your vision from the road to the infotainment screen and back. I think I need to make a stop to do anything I want to do on the screen. 3. The front row seats are from the 90s. Actually! 4. I found the clutch to be way too light. I thought it may be because of me being used to a Ford diesel clutch. So I asked the showroom to give me their best driver for a 0 - 100 sprint. Every time he changed gear, there still was a jerk. Your latest crush may not like it. 5. Then finally the showroom said ARAI mileage figures are 15 kmpl. That in reality means about 11 kmpl. I get 18 kmpl from my diesel Ford. I am just not used to this! 6. It did have a good ride. But let's not talk about the handling! Verdict - Buy it only if you are nostalgic about the 90s!
First thing first- Duster remains the same with looks with minimal cosmetics only updates is under the bonnet... Second thing- sir it seems you seriously working out on yourself, it seems you are really updating yourself by shredding down. Nice videos by overdrive always 👍
Drivers will find themselves falling off the cliff and maybe before that killing few pedestrians. I cannot stop laughing imagining those wild things, as soon as you step on the gas, you'll find a dead body under your car.😂
Engine is good for 2020 but interiors are lagging behind still of 2010. It has to be balanced to be successful. Even kwid n triber gets better interiors than this so called New Duster .!! The least they should have done is give it those interiors.

Undoubtedly, the best review available - honest, unbiased and, most importantly, very practical (just like the Duster). Thank you, Sir!

One of the most useful videos of Duster 1.3 turbo engine car.

Agreed 👍
Pro tip : you can watch movies on flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Brycen Victor yup, I have been watching on Flixzone} for months myself :D

No way Korean matches to duster body control,
He means control embedded on body like touchscreen airpurifier
After so many years, it is still a good looking car. The blue colour bis very suiting.
It would've been nice if they had updated the dashboard. The interiors are looking too old.
not exactely
old gen Interior

A very macho suv and looks rugged one where you can throw it anywhere without thinking twice.
Absolutely
I had taken my AWD Duster to real bad terrains it performed well.

That Red accent in the front grill is a design flaw. It doesn't adhere to visual hierarchy and looks wierd.

Does Duster ECU has IP69 protection ?
A.w.d would have been the game changer....in turbo...but discontinued dont know why...is there any hope for a.w.d to come in future....
When can we expect next generation Duster be launched and any possibility of a diesel powertrain
You sure there is traction control in the duster? There is no mention of it on the webite nor in the brochure
Even 2020 mahindra that has good looking dashboard
any word on Duster's crash testing, NCAP, ASEAN report of Indian version
how do you switch off the Traction control?

fabulous car
No doubt, Duster is a fantastic car but aged interiors and exteriors will make everyone to think more than 100 times to spend 15 lac.
Such a half hearted effort by Renault
Liked the review, but the car should be down to history books and not on the road. If there would have been a Tata or Mahindra logo on this, it would have been criticised 10 times more.
AWD and panoramic sunroof would have been a hit...
Duster without awd is a total waste of money and also the service cost and parts are not cheap.

What happens when that Engine is put into a KWID😁
You can wheelie like Vin Diesel and smoke Octavia RS if Kwid survived the acceleration.

The Old 1.5 diesel is more powerful than present 1.3 petrol? Isn't it? Please answer.
Chandrakanth Chandu its not. Old 1.5 diesel was 110bhp. This new turbo petrol is 156bhp,

You seem to have lost a lot of weight.
CRETA, SELTOS: We are the popular SUV's of India.
DUSTER: Hold My Beer!!
Such a ill informed reviewer. 😤 The red accents are not the identity of the BS6. They are the identity of 1.3 litre turbo.
