- MG3 with mad acceleration problem. When sitting at a full stop or traveling very slowly the vehicle will start to rev and if not under brake, will accelerate into oncoming traffic or anything in its path.
This has already caused two accidents, one at traffic lights and the other in a carpark when turning into a parking bay.
The gentleman that owns the car has started driving with two feet, just to be able to hit the brake fast enough when this happens.
I have been in the car with him many times when this has happened and started filming this as it is not happening when taken into the workshop. This issue can go on for days, and then randomly stop for weeks, before repeating the cycle.
NOTE: The needles on both the gauges go all the way over when he is turning the car on, the needle on the left moves when the acceleration is happening.
At 4 minutes, you can hear, as he tries pumping the accelerator (by this stage he is trying many combinations) a clear clicking noise and coincidently (?) at this time, the acceleration stops.
