FK8 is lighter for sure, about 50kgs. Not sure how he said FL5 is lighter. Not to mention FK8 has bigger turbo so it is actually slightly faster after 100km/h compared to FL5.
@@nickwong2525well both are great cars but I will say this,- They have a similar turbo but the FL5 pushes 25max psi vs the FK8 23psi. The FL5 comes with a better turbo from factory. The FL5 is faster off the line and to 60 due to wider tires. Let’s address the weight difference though, the reason for the weight gain is because of the wider tires and the car has an actual wider fenders rather than some rivets holding the extended fenders to the car. The FK8 fenders were an after thought and added after the car was done rather then the FL5 having an actual wider fenders that is part of the car. This adds more weight as it’s part of the actual car. From a dig the FL5 smokes the FK8 but from a roll the FK8 smokes the FL5. This is due to the after-mentioned tire difference and also the final drive ratio. The FL5 has a shorter Final drive but can hit a higher top speed. You sacrifice some acceleration to get a higher top speed. The FL5 can hit 170mph and has a sturdier body to be able to handle it. The FL5 is faster where it matters, the track. The FL5 also has addressed the heat soak issues the plagued the FK8. The FL5 is not perfect, but With better cooling, an easier time launching the car, and better tech the FL5 is the perfect step above the FK8.
Last car price was approx the same vs. The previous and this current gen feels thats why a bit more expensive because the jump was bigger. Yes, it is not cheap, thats true but life is...
@@charlesdegaulle2928Yes but their purchasing power is much stronger, so it's still overpriced in Msia due to protectionist policies. We pay a similar price as Japan but the average Malaysian income is significantly lower when compared to Japan. So it is NOT the same, the opposite in fact. Cars are grossly overpriced here
FINALLY made the typre r review🔥👍
Yea we had to wait a while to publish it .. Hope u enjoyed it ..
I wished someone tested these with the exact same wheels and Tyre size to see who could come on top
The major difference is the wheel combination. The FK8 times would be similar or close to that of the FL5.
Fk8 is much lighter than fl5, pls check curb weight for reference, thanks

@@VxD101 the FL5 has the longer final drive, also after allowing for the smaller (circumference) wheels.
Nice
FL5 💖💖💖

Just don't believe the FK8 is 6 seconds slower. Most comparisons conclude them to be much closer🤔
what course is this btw?
What track is this btw, looks like a go kart track
It’s a supermoto track actually… Yes a little bit on the smallish side.. Hella bumpy too.. Its called Litar Kuala Selangor in Malaysia..
over inflated pricing...sad...if its around 150-180k, imgine the car scene be in the world
in japan, their price is rm210k, with civic hybrid at rm160k ( similar to Malaysia)
