Hi Amy!! I've been watching you for years and I have to say YOU HAVE NEVER LOOKED HAPPIER! Since you moved to Florida you have this glow about you. And I'm not talking about a sunshine glow. A happiness glow. You are 100 percent in your element! Smiling more, laughing more, joking around more and just being YOU more. It is a wonderful thing to see and I am beyond happy for you. Everyone just looks content and that is a beautiful thing. Moving to FL was the best thing for you ALL!!
    Many blessings...

You should use the offcuts from the chicken to make stock, or even cook it up and it can be used as a treat for your dog.

That’s what I do for my dog. He will only eat his food when I mix homemade chicken broth in his food. I started when he was a puppy and now he won’t eat his food without chicken broth. I make a big pot and freeze it and take out a container everyday for his food. I also shred up the chickens after I boil and put in his food

    Good morning Amy
I love how you manage to keep all your foods etc away because it’s different being in your new home figuring out where everything goes or should go. But you did it and I have to admire you for it.
Love your food prep and dinner sound wonderful with relaxing in the pool afterwards.
I think Maddie will love her socks and Stephen will love his birthday goodies.
The beach sounds like a perfect place to celebrate Brooklyns day too.
Thanks for sharing your day with us. Todays passage from Matthew is so comforting .🙏🙏
Have a beautiful and blessed day with your family. ☀️💕🙏

It must be so hard to have to store your food in so many different places instead of the big pantry you had before. Have you ever considered installing Elfa adjustable shelves (from the Container Store) on the narrow wall across from your butler's pantry cabinets? You probably can get at least 12” deep adjustable shelves on that wall, which would be great for all your cans, bottles, and jars. Love your new home! You have been working so hard to get your old house ready for sale, packing, and getting your new home set up. I’m in awe of your energy!!! 💪🏻

TH-cam is full of women saying "if I can do it, you can, too", but what the others fail to mention that you've always told us is "yes, I can do all of this now, but I've not always been able to. You may not can right now, but one day you'll be able to, as well", and that's what we really need more of ❤

Good morning Amy. I agree that it is so much better to prepare your meat before you bag it up. I have spent a lot of the Summer filling our freezer with marinated meats to cook on the grill or smoker, shredded huge blocks of cheese from Azure Standard and froze, freezing fruits and vegetables from the garden or local farmers, etc. Also I have been canning since Spring. Strawberry jam, pickles, Cowboy Candy, relishes, potatoes, chicken, chicken and beef stock, beef tips, venison tips, soups, stews, chili, venison chili, venison Sloppy Joe sauce, pinto beans and black beans. My family can't hardly stand store bought foods and I love filling our "home grocery store" and freezers with delicious "real" food.

Always fun to see how much you get done in one of these big prep videos. It brings back happy memories of when my kids were little and I did the original Once a Month book menus. There is a frozen fruit slush cup recipe there that my kids loved but it was blended smooth. I've got the flu and the thought of one of those frozen fruit cups sounds good on my irritated throat. So much fun to see how your kids enjoy the pool, glad you are happy in your new home.

Tomato plants and others you would need to make sure they had some shade part of the day. Because this Florida heat all the time would kill them . Would burn them. But trees like oranges would be great . But yes you can grow some vegetables all year long . Low as it’s gotten here in Florida since I been here is in mid sixties.

I precook my hamburger meat before putting into freezer bags. That way cooking spaghetti or tacos etc is so much faster. I also stock up on rotisserie chicken from Sams Club and debone them and put into freezer bags for chicken Alfredo, soup etc. Take the wings, backs and other pieces you can't get all the chicken off of until you have plenty and then make chicken stock with it. This makes for faster suppers for busy Moms.

    • @57msdeb
      @57msdeb ปีที่แล้ว

It’s different in different areas. We have several garbage companies that serve our area and they all pick up recycling on different days than they collect trash. It’s very confusing and you have to make a conscious effort to ask for a bin and ask what day it will be collected.

I appreciate your kind words...i have never shared my thoughts on things like that as well as politics and all the other controversial topics...just my personal choice not to share.... I think with everything in life...we are all convicted to do what each of us is to do .whether that be ...goto one kind of church denomination...or which political party to vote for ..to vote or not to vote....vaccine or not....doctors or not...fluoride or not .. homeschool or public school...stick and work through a marriage or divorce.....have tons of kids have no kids....solar or no solar...follow God not follow God ..i think the list can go on and on and both sides would very much stress their point of view....there are many aspects of my life that no one sees and that others presume...just because I don't answer or don't talk about it...doesn't mean im against their opinion...I've learned over the years the beauty of a word fitly spoken and when God says share...to share. There is much that people can nitpick about my home and what we do or don't do...but there is a lot of things that when turned around...if I was looking at their life...i could question why they didn't do those things. Just my 2 cents today ..this is to answer multiple comments on this today not just yours ❤️ i appreciate you asking....maybe in time I'll share what we do and or my thoughts I know when i don't understand other people's actions or choices...i try and put myself into their lives and ask why they would do something and learn all i can on the other viewpoints..there are always 2 sides and the media almost always pushes one agenda...thankful for the ability to some extent for people to share the other side of things....makes life interesting:). I wrote a novel and didn't intend....it was just some food for thought in our home today .

You should use your pressure cooker to make some meals. Like your lentils and rice. Or your chili it’s fast on won’t heat house up. Or do some roast and vegetables in slow cooker or beef stew. Make up a lot of crock pot meals and freeze them. Or cook up lots of your ground beef in the slow cooker for different meals.

We use to make this using grapes, pineapple tidbits, canned mandarin oranges and bananas….wonderful! I would make in cupcake papers and freeze…then one could get out the amount needed! Just the right amount! Yum!

You should remove bottle row of eggs and put it on top so you use all the older eggs before the newer ones.

Everything looks so delicious. I love how Titus jumps in and give his 2 cents worth. Well he may give 50 cents worth. 😅😂 How often will you make this cake? Easy to make, just time consuming. Hope y'all have a great weekend. Can't wait until this heat is gone. Its just miserably hot in SC. See ya tomorrow night.

Amy what temperature you keep your house at since you’re moved down here to Florida? We keep our place at 75. Still little warm for me. But my guy has lived here almost thirty years and he thinks that’s cold. So we agreed to that temp. I’m not so hot and he’s not so cold. While people down here in December are wearing pants and some kind of jacket most times I’m still in shorts or very light pants and thin sweat jacket. Last Christmas it was near 80 and I’m about an hour south of you.

Maybe try a tray in the back corner of your pizza oven with charcoal, get the charcoal so that they are almost white first
Then put your hickory wood chips that has been soaked in water and drained makes boat with foil and put on top of your charcoal

I save the tops and tails of the onions, celery and carrots as well as small garlic cloves with the off cuts of chicken to make stock. I just keep a bag in my freezer that I put all these things into and when I get enough to make stock, or I need stock for a recipe, I load it all up in a pot, or my instant pot and brew up a batch. My son calls it my “garbage broth” lol. I also raid the herbs I grow to give added flavor.
