This was Carrol Shelby and DeLorin's car to beat Ferrari in LeMans Enzo Ferrari reneged on his agreement with Ford to sell Ferrari to them so they built this. Do you know why it's called the GT 40? Because it's height was 40" at the roof. It's always been my favorite car I had a store car racing track the old timers with a bug track n cars 1 was a red The other was the blue GT 40 we got that the Christmas of 67-68 the track was like 10 maybe 12" wide and was a cross over oval like 16' I'd guess with the dual electric contact points for each car 110v you could pick up the back tires and hit the power source and the rear tire Wheels would spin and then drop the car and actual rubber tires would spin n leave burn out marks lol. Had to use lead wire to weight the cars down in the frount to steer better and all alone where ever you could on the body sides under neath to keep it on the track and steer at near full speed in alot of the track but the couners you had to really drive these type cars it was very tough to keep them on the track at any speed wish I had that track back now.
