I had the privilege to see this fanstatic car in Le Mans race and for me this model is the most powerful car builded by Mazda Sport and the most efficient rotative engine technology. Few years before i discovered Mazda in Le Mans with his coupe looking like Posche 924. The sound procuded by this model was terrific and diffiuclt to support so heavy frequencies for my ears. I was with officials for security on the circuit and we were feeling the heavy vibrations on ground at each turn of the car. Absolutly unforgetable.
One of my most favorite race cars ever
The sponsors that put their brand on the car can rest easy knowing that it's never coming off.
It sounds angry when it's idling... "I'm not made to idle damnit, OPEN ME UP!"
It wasn't the fastest car when I played Gran Tourismo, but it's handling made it my absolute favorite! I'd go into some races underpowered and just out-handle everyone (GT2-3 Days). I think this is my most favorite race-car of all time- shame they were banned!
Ive driven this car hundreds of hours in GT. It was seriously one of the best ever.
Nowadays with cookie cutter super and hyper cars, nothing has character like this. I actually got chills when it hit that limiter in the first clip. Subarashii 😌
This brings back the good old days. I was there at Le Mans in '91. Just thinking of the days, being few meters from track at fast sections, still gives me goosebumps about this indescribable insistent sinister sound. Of which broke through the sound barrier of the other eternal souls of sounds from the C11's 5.0L twin turbo, the 962C's flat 6 twin turbo, the XJR-12LM's naturally aspirated 7.4L 60° V12, the LC2's 3.1L V8, the 90C's 3.5L Cosworth V8, the 905's naturally aspirated V10's.....all behemoths of whom would each write with the big pen in the history books - but in the air were breached by this bone-crushing 2.3L quad rotary.
Just thinking of those 24 hours I can feel every rev in my bones to this day.
Those were the days.
The symphony of man's pinnacle of internal combustion. It almost brings a tear to your eye.
That is one happy little engine that could.
It literally did to mine.
Carro simplesmente com ronco perfeito lindo demais uma obra prima construída para sua época poderiam ter continuado este tipo de motor até os dias de hoje 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
What a beautiful song
best car sound EVER!
I love the stutter when it shifts at rpm
I love rotary engin sound so much I wish Mazda always creat this kind of engine and make it unique and one of the best type engine.
Good enough to be my ringtone and notifications all in one
I'd pay good money to be able to listen to that live
I heard this car at the Long Beach Grand Prix in April. There were also 2 other rotary powered Mazda prototypes. The 767b and rx792p. It was insane.
I did went to LeMans 87 to 95. At the 1990 race stood between the Dunlop bridge and the old Esses photographing the Jags! Mazda goes passed all noise and flame outs, and as it gets to me I could feel my eardrums were being pushed inwards amazing car the next year due to Imsa rules Johnny Herbert did his stuff and Mazda won. Jaguar best finish since the fifties 2nd, 3rd, 4th
Best ever sound to ever be heard, period.
This is real music, this is an engine and not like any cylinder engine, but a rotary engine. Wonderful car, I love it. This is a hungry, thirsty monster ready to devour anyone in its way
this has to be the best sounding car ever; wow.
Really insane sound
