These 10 amazing Italian cars may not have the same level of fame as some of their counterparts, but they each represent a unique chapter in the rich tapestry of Italian automotive history. From classic sports cars to modern supercars, these lesser-known gems showcase the creativity, innovation, and passion that define Italian car culture.
I do think many of the companies have been making them fairly ugly compared to the fluidity of Italian cars up to the 1990s. The Puritalia 427, and a couple of the Maserati cars had some very nice lines, but some of the other cars from these start-ups are trying too hard to out-ugly the next start-up's car. Smooth them out, for goodness sake, and the new Pantera should be powered by the 760 HP engine that Ford is selling out of their performance catalog (in the spirit of the original Panteras using Ford engines). The next year, they got closer; too close, in fact, so the powers that be banned the turbine cars outright from then on. Imagine all the great races we lost, to protect the status quo, instead of increasing the competition.
