８００馬力アメリカンモンスターマッスルマシンをこの狭い峠に持ち込みました。
この車両のオーナーもショップも、ホットバージョンに出てくるショップ並みに、何度もチャレンジしてきます！
少しずつ、僕流のカスタマイズに仕上がってきたこのクルマを信じて峠を全開走行してみましたのでご覧ください。

＜EXPLANATION＞
This time we will run the Gunma Cycle Sports Center!
We brought our 800 hp American monster muscle machine to this narrow pass.
The owner of this vehicle and the shop will be challenged as many times as the shop in the hot version!
Little by little, I believe in this car, which has been customized in my own style, and I tried driving it at full throttle on the mountain pass, so please take a look.

As an American, I'm honestly surprised to see you so impressed with our work, especially given the Challenger's reputation back here in its own country. Usually, we see the Camaro and Mustang as the better track cars, whereas the Challenger is regarded as a large, clumsy showboat or even a low-budget GT in some respects. To see it perform like this, with only tires and brake pads changed, is actually a bit of a worldview-altering moment.

Mercedes DNA but Dodge SRT people has done a lot of work and modifications. I had a E class years ago now I have a Challenger Hellcat and they don't exactly handle the same say the least.
It was only thing seeing the Hellcat at Tsukuba. But seeing it at the Gunsai Touge is something I never, ever thought I'd see! I hope you keep driving other cars not normally sold in Japan!

Mad respect to you for being crazy enough to take a Challenger flat out on a downhill. Hopefully you can find a Mustang GT350 or Camaro SS 1LE to compare.

SUPER GT JAPAN RACE MACHINE.
Both would be great to see, but for an equal comparison they'd need the gt500 or zL1 1Le. The gt350 and ss1Le might fall a little closer to a wide body scat pack even though it will come up short compared to the others. Price and power are more lined up.
I wish he could drive a Shelby GT350 on the track and Touge

It's impressive how far we have come in suspension R&D that a car that's almost 2 ton can handle a touge course with such poise. It's unfortunate that the brake fluid boiled down but it is an easy fix. Great content!

it was really cool seeing how the suspension articulated, and how the COG was acting on the insta 360 (camera shake). can't imagine what riding in a horse drawn carriage would be like(would probably hurt ALOT).

Props to DK for harnessing the power of that monster and learning the shortcomings of the car so quickly. I would love to see DK get a Challenger and develop a Weight Reduction and Handling Package from Kei Office. I think that kit would be a big seller in the USA.
Do you have such a kit? Interesting. Sorry, Kei-office no longer exists.
@@driftkingtelevision the 2012-14 models came with the "Super Track Pak." All it was is some gas charged Bilstein shocks and a 3.09 LSD for the auto cars. Your best bet would be to adapt some newer bilstein shocks

WOW ! they gave him the Red Eye Challenger ! now that was impressive ! i have never seen the Red Eye get used like that. In the states it's always straight line...but DKs input to me was gold ! to have a legend tack the car through such tight winding prepted roads is a treat ! Had me at the end of my seat like as if i was watching rally racing. The best way to describe the Red Eye is its like you have a best friend that is a axe murderer and you should be fine if you keep and eye on him and respect him....if you don't your head comes off lol. Excellent video! It's so cool to see a Hellcat driven by DK, who is famous for going incredibly fast in a car with low horsepower. In North America, this car is usually heavily tuned, and it is rare to find one that makes less than 1000HP. 1200HP is common. It's popular to replace the supercharger with a twin turbo setup. With tuning, the car can suddenly reach 300km/h when pressing the accelerator during highway driving. If this car receives a similar treatment, I hope DK can drive it again.

I love mustangs, so hopefully you could try a 2012 or 2013 mustang Boss 302. I liked the Challengers but always thought the weight was an issue for handling, apparently not! Great job Mr. Tsuchiya !👍

Tokyo Drift did use an older ford Mustang for the last TOGE race and it won, it really depends on the driver if your really skilled but of course never try this alone or without the knowledge on how to TOGE race properly

I would love to try driving it. I am very interested.
Challengers have mechanical LSDs as options since 2008. But yes, the Mustang and Camaros are the lighter and better handling muscle-type cars.

What an incredible video! Dori-Dori sure is courageous for going full throttle on this monster of a car in such a narrow road like Gunsai. I don't think I would've been brave to do the same. Wonderful display of how, despite the silly horsepower and weight, these Challenger Hellcats also have the handling to match.
The comparisons with Super GT500 cars made me curious, has DK driven the current generation cars? these are quite different than the GT500s from the JGTC days. I recall driving the ARTA NSX which DK and Aguri Suzuki drove in the 2000 season in Gran Turismo, made me a big fan of ARTA!
It's the GT500 that I know. Modern machines are more aerodynamic than any MACHINE I know.
@@driftkingtelevision They are incredible race cars! I recall reading that during qualifying for Round 2, one of the GT500 Supras set a lap that's on pace with a Peugeot 905 in Suzuka, which is shockingly fast. I love the Super GT series! Wishing you and everyone at ARTA a good racing season.

Being one of your biggest fans Tsuchiya san, I’ve always wondered how you would handle a real top of the line muscle car on the Gunsai touge. Seeing this video today I can say I was not disappointed at all! As I expected you pushed it to the limits. Showing levels of bouncing from the undulations that I have never witnessed before. It took up every bit as much space as I have imagined a big bulky muscle car would on a Japanese road. This video has answered so many questions that I have once only been able to imagine. Wonderful! Wow! I'm amazed at how well it handles! I wish DK can also drive a MT Hellcat! There are MT Hellcats used as driver training cars in the Bondurant Driving School because it is normal to learn on low power, low weight cars (like a Mazda Roadster/Miata) but what about the opposite? Hellcat is a high power high weight car so it is a totally different learning experience!
I would love to see a touge special Hellcat build someday!
