The X-H2 and X-H2S show the custom name you assign in the Q menu. The only small issue is that the text SHOOTING MODE appears directly after the custom name, so you have to add some type of separator to make it more readable. For example, C1 on my X-H2 is named STREET- (notice the dash). In the Q Menu, it shows up as C1 STREET-SHOOTING MODE. If I set the custom name to STREET (no dash), the Q Menu will show C1 STREETSHOOTING MODE.
Hmmm…every time you showed the Q menu on your xs20 to demonstrate the lack of a name for a custom setting, the camera was actually in M mode and correctly showed the name “Manual”
I shoot RAW 99% of the times, but when I want to use the simulations on my XT-5, I've assigned custom settings to the top button that is to the right of the shutter button.
Custom menus are precious. It would be FANTASTIC if we could simply replace some of the built-in simulations with out own recipes and use them like we use the built-in ones; being able to select a sim no matter what you're shooting. Using Fuji's dedicated software RAW STUDIO X, one could do this easily and be able to "reset to original" for each sim 'slot'. I never use the monochrome and Arcros sims. That would give me space for EIGHT of my own recipes and leave me the custom modes for more important things. Pass this around. Maybe Fuji will do it:)
My only fuji camera is X-S10 and it shows the custom name in the Q menu. What I don't like is that when I change the dial between C1 to C4, the Q menu closes and I need to hit Q button again to confirm the name is the actual simulation I'm looking for. What I don't like on the X-S10 is that I couldnt find a way to restore original custom settings for one of the save slots. After I do changes to the image options in a particular slot, if I want to go back to the original recipe I need to edit settings manually, or even worse reset to defaults (all flat) and start from scratch
Thanks for sharing that - that must be frustrating! There definitely is some inconsistency to the firmware basics between these Fujifilm cameras. I originally assumed the XH2 and XH2S had the same problem as my XS20. Thankfully, a viewer pointed out that that was not the case. It appears only the XS20 has the issue I had.
My problem with the xt5 and Q menu is it doesn’t change some of the parameters in video, so you can’t quickly change between photos and videos. As in the xh2 it does. I love the xt5 but l’m considering switching to the xh2
@@JackieDElia yes i made one with a 6k video setting at 30fps and another one with 4k 60fps and when you change between them all settings are the same minus the 6k and 4k setting
@@JackieDEliaand just to clarify it is only the 4 on the dial correct (C1, 2, 3, 4)? So you cannot have the 7 custom profiles on the top left when you press the Q button? I believe that only remains in the mode you are shooting in (A, M, P etc)? Thanks in advance for your response.
you are correct there’s just four. You cannot select them from the quick menu. The only option on the quick menu is to cycle through PSAM for each Cx on the dial.
I found out what the issue is. I am using DJI Wireless Mic with Safety Track enabled. It automatically reduces the right channel as a safety track. I found out how to correct that in Davinci Resolve going forward. Thank you so much for mentioning it. :)

Yes and you can rotate the dial to change to A, P and S. Even in C1,C2 it shows that.

Great recipe. I use it too! Natural but not as desaturated/lack of contrast as Eterna.
I totally agree! Thanks for watching.

Interesting. I have not had that experience. I'll dig a bit deeper on that to see if I can find out why. Maybe do a video about it.
Is the XS20 limited to only 4 custome modes or 7?
Yes, only four on the X-S20

i kinda like the new look... looks cool to me...

For some reason your last few videos are left channel (sound) leaning. Still good videos!
Sorry about that. Thanks for letting me know.
