I hesitate to sew knits because the hems are icky on a sewing machine and not available on the serger. The first of your videos (comments not available) I watched have convinced me to buy this machine. The abundance of your videos is also a great selling/buying point. You show how to do maintenance which is vital to any machine. Thank you!
Thank you! Having a coverstitch machine is such a game changer in having your garments look professional. Some are intimidated by the machine but it is easy to learn and use if you go with the mindset of using it and learning. If you have any issues after you buy one, just PM me thru my FB page I’ll help you thru.
I had to go back to your video on tension settings, and I think it was made 4 years ago. Anyway, since I don't use the coverstitch as much as I'd like I always run into trouble. So I rewatch the video. The information in your video always gets me back on track. Please don't ever remove your videos. Thank you. Louise
Hi Jeanette, thank you for your very helpful tutorials on the 2340CV (I just received mine). When I'm done sewing my hem, I can't just sew off the material? It always has to be the same process of releasing tensions and pulling out the threads? Thank you.
No I did not mention it because I have my for in a sweet zone. I rarely if ever change it. I have it 1/2" off the top of the machine and it goes smoothly over bulky areas. If your going to do this, may do the top of the silver screw is 1/2" off the machine.

So glad the videos continue to help!
So nice to see you again on TH-cam.
It’s been a while!!
How fun! You are so skillful, and so generous to share your expertise. Thank you! I’m learning a lot from your videos.
I’m glad they help you!!!
Thanks. This will come in handy. I was looking for a decorative patch for a tote bag.
Just go slow and it will come out fine!
Great job! That is encouraging for me to try it now! Thanks for the video.
Be sure to post a picture! It won't take you long to figure how to do it!!!

If you simply sew off, you are not creating the self knotting, so yes you should release the tensions and pull
Maybe I missed it, but did you mention adjusting presser foot pressure?
