@5410Africa This is really funny because the google images at 00:35 are of a famous lagoon called Ko Mae Ko... in Thailand. A little sleuthing would have saved you the disappointment:)
Dont worry I figured that out before I left 😁 but unfortunately some tour operators use those images and claim it to be the one in Zambia, shocking, and that was the point Im trying to make. What is quite sad is that the lake, some of the images in between those show the old lake, is also gone because they built a hydro power station upstream, even sadder is that most of the animals are also gone 😥 Talking to the rangers there and some locals in Lusaka that use to go there frequently, it was an amazing park to visit back in the day.
@@NickfrNamibia Ah! Okay good, I would have been a bit surpirsed at your less than skillful use of google😁. I guess camping on the lookout tower is pretty serene and worthwhile, but it must have been incredibly stunning before, with all the water and animals
Wow... It's unfortunate the park is no more than a birding grassy plain. I'm sure the lagoon was beautiful in its day. Thanks for the info. Looks like that platform truly would be a nice place to stay.
So some residents told you what was and what is now, why still go there? or you just wanted to go and exibit your arrogance and trash talk our country? There are plenty beautiful places in Zambia which you dont show but always looking for negative stories -we know you!
Your country, and this is a very large tourism site in Zambia, shouldn't be misleading tourists. If you have watched more than one of my videos, you will now what I am and what Im trying to do... you will know that I was hoping to find what was advertised and share that bit of magic with the rest of the world. Unfortunately, this was not the case....did you want me to lie like your tourism sites? You guys need to wake up to the reality that most of your parks have been destroyed by years of mismanagement and poaching...only once you can acknowledge that too yourselves can you start working on improving the situation... I've been in Africa 40 years my friend, I am far beyond the point of pretending everything is ok....
I think he if you watched the entire video you would understand what he's about. I just discovered today that the blue lagoon is about 50 minutes drive from my house. The pictures were so interesting that I was about to make a trip to there. Had I not come across his video, I would have actually gone there😢😢 Incase you missed it, his part is to prove to people if the places shown are actually what they look like. You would still have called him arrogant if this place had actually existed🤔🤔🤔 you would have praised him for putting Zambia on the map. What he does, helps people make an informed decision because he's saying what he's actually seen as opposed to hearsay
Keep on mentioning Namibia 💪💪
Really like it.
TH-cam should recognize Namibia also
I will👍🙂 hopefully one day....
Amazing campsite!
Nic great episode this is what overlanding is about
Thanks Shaun!
