for venari, u can also use a low rank link-shield mod to give it shields, so it can use shield gating, without the shield mod it doesn't get any shields by default
Works with brief reapite done that way, too. Paired with link shields, share health on melee mods, and then the tek mod to have 60% chance to ignore lethal dmg, cats can practically live forever done right.
My go to Stat Stick since even before Khora Prime, is the Kuva Shildeg, max rank gives a ton of modding flexibility, and Crushing Ruin paired with ensnared enemies means I can hit 12x in two attacks or less.
Thanks for this. If you are for some reason you're modding damage on Venari, especially Swipe/Crit, I'd recommend Heal mode too, as, outside the simulacrum and when not healing, Heal mode is the only mode that will let Venari make normal cat attacks, or cat mod precepts.

Pro tip: if you have the weapon for it, you can do a combo build and replace Spoiled strike with Bright purity, Blade of Truth or any other +damage syndicate mod. Same damage, no speed reduction.
Super late to the party but for those who aren't invested so much in Khora and doesn't have a stat stick riven and don't know which weapon to use, go for Kuva Shieldeg/Tenet Agendus/Exec. It didn't work at first but it was fixed and Progenitor Bonus applies and you probably forma'd it 5 times already and can fit the standard stat stick builds for whiplclaw. It also helps that it has increased capacity(90if forma'd 5x + stance+catalyst) so forma-ing 5times is not really necessarily. I still use my innate Cold Shieldeg to deal with corpus shields when I play khora to help some newbs farm Hexenon+Oxium and just mod it for pure slash. Shields are a pain to deal with and Cold does bonus damage to shields. Magnetic is an option but my goal is to kill as fast as possible and magnetic needs to proc alot and is shit against acolytes. Gas and toxin goes through shields but you'll have trouble with acolytes if you mod your stat stick weapon for those elements. I bring miter for primary and my 2ndary is just a stat stick for augur mods so I heavily rely on my whipclaw to deal with every acolytes instead of 1-2 shotting them with a Kuva Tonkor/Zarr/Bramma/Sporelacer. Venka Prime is an honorable mention but I find the tenet exec/agendus and kuva shieldeg are superior. Don't use grigori and Livia because of their passive. After all that and you find khora enjoyable, go get a riven for a melee with extremely high riven disposition. You can check out dispositions in wiki.
Amazing Video But you there is a tip you forgot If you use the Tenet Agendis , Tenet Exec or the Kuva Shildeg with a Toxin / Electricity Bonus , you can skip these mods on your builds , since they made it so pseudo-exalted melee can now benefit from Lich bonuses
With Khora, I actually don't use "Primed Sure Footed" but I do use "Handspring". It has actually been pretty good at getting my Khora out of jams; in my personal experience at least.

Have they fixed Venari randomly disabling its currently selected ability? Reason i never use it is i would put her on heal mode and randomly the heal would go away, so i have to cycle through the entire list of abilities again, then reselect heal. It pissed me off and it was bugged like this for years.
0:44 if u remove the venari abilities u also cant cgange her stance so she wont activate precepts (aka swipe, pounce, sharpened claws, and the bond precipts) but instead just spam snare also u lose out on venari bodyguard.
Small tip here: venka prime goes up to x13 combo multiplier, weeping wounds and blood rush still go only to 12, but all the dmg and elemental dmg multiplier gets multiplied by 13 instead, if you want. Small benefit but yeah.

I've largely just listened to whatever's "meta" and changed my builds accordingly, but it never feels like I learn anything from doing it. It might just be a "new player" problem, considering I only have about 100 hours in the game currently, so it feels like I am constantly chasing the players that are more qualified than I am. I love no one considered Orvius as a stat stick- so the riv was cheap as hell for it. Its better than my Bo, Paracesis, Broken Sceptre, Broken/War, Kronen, and any other melee I have tested yet. Really simple. Pop Orvius off- explode over a group and BAM- Insta Combo! High Dispo, enjoy red crits whilst double shield gated Viral Cats wreck shop as you slash combo everything to hell and back. I wouldnt sell this riv for 4k! It makea Khora become the endgame beyond any Kiva wep, with a simple toss n whip LOL.
Kengineer, question. I have a prisma skana with a riven and it's special augment which provide melee damage. My riven for it also has high melee damage. Without 12x counter, it does decent damage and to be fair, it sucks in SP so i dont get the counter up ever. But if I switch to praedos (no riven) and slam on the ground til 12x, it literally does millions of damage more than a well built stat stick. Why is that if khora goes based off of mods and not stats of weapon and mods?
Combo counter adds a damage multiplier, like how base damage does. And pseudo exalts never work off of base stats as pseudo exalts have their own stats you have to find on the wiki, but since they cannot use mods they use the mods on your equipped melee weapon

I was startin to use Ripkas as statstick lately. The combo it can do in like second is good for comboin the whipclaw and when Im usin 26s combo duration I can run all around the map and get decent orange or red crits around 350k which is really enouugh to kill mostly anythin with viral damage.
Given that combo gain got a massive overhaul, the argument that DE made regarding "balance" for breaking the no-combo decay mechanic for stat sticks is stupid, and only serves to make Warframes that rely on stat sticks less accessible. In no way shape or form does it break the game or make the Warframes overpowered. It's purely a convenience factor in missions. It's far more likely that DE (seeing as how they make a load of money off rivens) sees such options as a threat to income, as they fear that players would prioritize the convenience over paying plat for a stat stick riven.

@@ropuce While it can potentially always be in circulation, as soon as anyone decided to buy a skin (which DE released a lot of, usually alongside bigger updates), a slot, or anything similar, that plat is out of the economy. Also, Rivens get pricy as hell. For people who don't trade a bunch but love shiny mods on their weapons, buying the plat is the easiest option.

jsut leveled up an mk1 furax for my stat stick ^^ else id get rid of fleeting expertise and use garas helminth with augment in the pilfering claw build. got way enough energy still and max shields with one cast so you always have shieldgating up. as range mod augur reach to bufff that effect. and overextended instead of narrow minded, with the whipclaw augment you dont need any strength and more range pulls more enemies
The wiki says the following: ˋThe Melee Combo Multiplier increases Whipclaw's damage, but only a fourth of the bonus is added.´ Do you know if this is correct or does it apply the full bonus of 3.75x damage at 12x combo like you said in the video? Cheers
It's badly worded on the wiki, but both are correct. When you gain 20 "hits" with melee, you gain a bonus due to combo going up to a 2x multiplier on your next heavy attack. That's a 100% increase. However for stat stick abilities like Whipclaw the bonus is only 25%. In that way the stat stick gains 1/4th of the bonus, but it is not 1/4th of number on the combo multiplier. Light melee attacks do not gain bonus damage from combo. It's heavy attacks, gladiator mods, weeping wounds, blood rush, and stat-stick abilities that are affected.

@@bl00me18 Combo hits get multipliers from their stances, if that's where you were getting additional numbers from. Stances will often double or triple damage amounts in certain combos, force status procs or add more IPS.
Im honestly kind of interested as why you didnt mention projenitor bonuses now working with statstics. Ive heard that you can make khora hit the damage cap by breathing out too loudly now
Is there a notable difference between the options given for the initial combo weapons? I already have the Furax Wraith, but my friend is trading me the Synoid Heliocor, and I was planning on going for the Praedos already. This wouldn't be too much of an issue if I didn't need to choose only one of them to potato.
With Vinari alive you probably won't need the health orbs. You just need to keep Vinari on heal. You are also using Rolling Gaurd, Breif Respite and Primed Sure-footed. You really don't need to worry about health orbs.
@@DangerScoops unless they helminth the third ability in which case I'm curious as to whether Pilfering Strangledome mod acts exactly as Nekros Desecrate where there is a 50% chance for the additional loot to be health orbs making it more common.

@@Bina69 I would say probably not, although I would also say it's entirely dependent on your kill rate, especially with eximus enemies, since they now drop health and energy orbs on death. Considering the footage from the video, though, I would say that Synth Fiber is probably not needed. If anything, it would probably be better to put a r0 Link Shields on Venari, so it can take advantage of shield gating.
I see a video like this where an Acolyte is hit 3 times and is dead, I am amazed and I have to build it. I follow the guide, making the few changes suggested. I use Fragor Prime with Spoiled Strike as I don't have Arcane Fury. I go into the first Grineer Exterminate Steel Path mission all excited to test it out, just for my Whipclaw to fart out a measly 1800 damage... Saying I am disappointed does not even begin cover it, I am yet again frustrated as another great build showing exactly how to get those high damage numbers does not perform in any way what is shown, leaving me to wonder what the hell did I do wrong... Small Edit: 1800 damage was at optimal conditions, other numbers I saw was 500 crits. Did some more testing in Simulacrum where my damage was insane on level 185 enemies, so the build does deliver great numbers. But as this video clearly shows those great numbers in Steel Path, 3 hitting an Acolyte, I get demoralized and wonder if maybe I misunderstood something.
You possibly missed something, Maybe that you need to constantly have 12x Combo on your melee to achieve this. Your first few hits wont be insane, but once you start to Orange and Red crit it gets better.
Tested this build some more and I was indeed missing something, and that something was reading Accumulating Whipclaws description. Hitting 3 enemies increases damage, so no wonder my damage is so low hitting one lonely Grineer. I went to a Steel Path Survival mission and my damage racked up quick. So I will apologize for my initial post sounding so harsh. Looks like things works as indented when you use it under the correct conditions. I feel so dumb right now.
@@dddesync I build it exactly as the first initial combo build shown, just replaced Virulent Scourge with Spoiled Strike as recommended as I don't have Arcane Fury.

remember that Accumulationg whipclaw stacks up to 325% dmg multiplier so keep spamming that abilty, once ur melee combo and acc. whipclaw is high enough u can start clearing rooms in one whip!
i know you just want to show a build but i have spectro. without any healing on my frame i rely on magus elevate edit: and anomaly for the stationary farming
Slash is the way to go for endurance. Corrosive eventually falls off due to scaling armor values. Slash does not. Corrosive is better for normal missions though, though not in any meaningful way as the raw damage numbers even from a slash build in normal missions is more than enough to one shot everything at max combo. My personal stat stick is viral slash and it performs way better on endless SP than a similarly well riven'd corrosive one based on testing. They both work but Slash is definitely faster at dealing with the heavy armor scaling.
Curious if I can just use Corrupt Charge for initial combo, because I'd like to have more options for melee. I also have a zaw riven with stats that work well with Whipclaw. I think I'll give that a go. Awesome builds.
I hate myself so much for trying to get the normal khora instead of waiting for the prime version considering how hard it is to get the normal khora (for 3 days I have got 2 khora blueprints, 1 khora neuroptics, 5-6 khora chassis and 0 systems) why do you have to get to zone 8-12 to have a high chance of getting the blueprints needed but even with a full squad it's still difficult and Octavia is only Warframe I got that can cover a large amount of ground in little time
Do the Dexterity arcanes add any damage to it or are they just there to keep the combo counter from dropping? Edit: Wait, what? Dex arcanes only add damage to the weapon they are equipped on? Man, they need to make that more clear! I thought they added to melee damage based on the description!
OK, I figured it out but will leave this here incase anyone else is clueless like me. My aura mod was min. Once I put max endo on it, capacity went to 74. I have duplicated this build here item by item and triple checked. it matched and Formas as shown. However you have a capacity of 74 but I have a capacity of 64. What am I doing wrong?
"Unlike normal companions -- meaning we can instead focus on keeping venari alive..." I don't see how this is different from normal companions? I spend pretty much every mod slot on keeping my stupid cats and dogs alive, and they still die withing a few minutes. Panzer devolution is the only thing that actually makes a difference. Even though my Vulpaphyla is sort of immortal, it still spends more than half of the mission as a larva. I guess you can cheese the system by using link mods and Inaros, but nothing else can keep these pets alive more than a few minutes in higher level missions.
Hi, is status chance important for khora stat stick? i have got a dual zoren riven with -105% status chance and i am wondering if that will affect the damage.
as far as toxin for corpus goes you could simply just change your stat stick to verdilac and just us it's special melee projectile they force proc toxin. and it come with it's own sidegrade to spoiled strike nira contempt +90% melee damage +60% status chance.🤔🤨🧐
Her whip targeting is still buggy as hell and you wont hit anthing if you aim right at the enemies in front of you! You have to aim lower, almost at the ground if they are close. For those who dont have P Surefooted or dont want to forma too much - Handspring in the exilus since it already has fitting polarity

If an enemy is "stunned" by the strangledome, the whipclaw's hit can chain to enemies behind walls, floors, and ceilings. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the radius stat on the whipclaw can allow you to hit behind walls n stuff too?
Watched another video and the guy said never add status mods. Said you want to build for slash only and not to add primed fever strike. Said it is weaker. And his build adds weeping wounds. His build consisted of; Primed pressure point, buzz kill, spoiled strike, organ shatter, weeping wounds, gladiator might, blood rush, and a riven mod.
Slash build is very good idk what is he talking about he didn’t even talked about weapons with high riven dispo where you can easily get 300% cc and 150 cd

Very good question. I've wondered this myself. I was told no because the stat goes straight to your secondary. What doesn't make sense is it has increased combo duration on R5 and secondaries don't need combo duration so I want to say yes but I've been told no lol

Man, I can't be arsed with that stuff, I like it when my frames do the job right out the box without doing all this min maxing; that's why I've been enjoying my Mag Prime so much lately, as well as my poorly built Saryn Prime (that does surprisingly well with 150% strength).
These new builds with low health are really starting to bother me. The new shield gating meta makes ppl play like headless chickens. You can't even stop to aim and enjoy a little whatever weapon your using. And it's not only you, it's almost every other youtubers too.
It's not just relying on shield gating he has the mod Rolling Guard on there. Learning to use Rolling Guard and Adaptation early on instead of health and armor mods not only will keep you alive but scales better later on in the game.
@@madmanbenji Adaptation scales better later on in the game? Adaptation is trash on any frame that doesn't have an innate DR ability. Even if you do have it, the things that one shot you are stuff like bombards, to which you will never have 90% resistance built up. They will just show up and shoot a rocket at you while you have a dead mod slot on your frame.

Rolling Guard is another option, so is tossing on roar, or, just having the DPS to deal with that source quickly lol.
Another suggestion for energy upkeep: I use dethcube's energy generator augment, pairs pretty decent with energize.

Combo counter adds a damage multiplier, like how base damage does. And pseudo exalts never work off of base stats as pseudo exalts have their own stats you have to find on the wiki, but since they cannot use mods they use the mods on your equipped melee weapon

I was startin to use Ripkas as statstick lately. The combo it can do in like second is good for comboin the whipclaw and when Im usin 26s combo duration I can run all around the map and get decent orange or red crits around 350k which is really enouugh to kill mostly anythin with viral damage.

Given that combo gain got a massive overhaul, the argument that DE made regarding "balance" for breaking the no-combo decay mechanic for stat sticks is stupid, and only serves to make Warframes that rely on stat sticks less accessible. In no way shape or form does it break the game or make the Warframes overpowered. It's purely a convenience factor in missions.
It's far more likely that DE (seeing as how they make a load of money off rivens) sees such options as a threat to income, as they fear that players would prioritize the convenience over paying plat for a stat stick riven.
DE doesn't actually get anything from riven trading itself, only from players buying plat, prime access and other stuff directly with real money

@@ropuce While it can potentially always be in circulation, as soon as anyone decided to buy a skin (which DE released a lot of, usually alongside bigger updates), a slot, or anything similar, that plat is out of the economy.
Also, Rivens get pricy as hell. For people who don't trade a bunch but love shiny mods on their weapons, buying the plat is the easiest option.

jsut leveled up an mk1 furax for my stat stick ^^ else id get rid of fleeting expertise and use garas helminth with augment in the pilfering claw build. got way enough energy still and max shields with one cast so you always have shieldgating up. as range mod augur reach to bufff that effect. and overextended instead of narrow minded, with the whipclaw augment you dont need any strength and more range pulls more enemies

The wiki says the following: ˋThe Melee Combo Multiplier increases Whipclaw's damage, but only a fourth of the bonus is added.´ Do you know if this is correct or does it apply the full bonus of 3.75x damage at 12x combo like you said in the video?

It's badly worded on the wiki, but both are correct. When you gain 20 "hits" with melee, you gain a bonus due to combo going up to a 2x multiplier on your next heavy attack. That's a 100% increase. However for stat stick abilities like Whipclaw the bonus is only 25%. In that way the stat stick gains 1/4th of the bonus, but it is not 1/4th of number on the combo multiplier. Light melee attacks do not gain bonus damage from combo. It's heavy attacks, gladiator mods, weeping wounds, blood rush, and stat-stick abilities that are affected.

@@bl00me18 Combo hits get multipliers from their stances, if that's where you were getting additional numbers from. Stances will often double or triple damage amounts in certain combos, force status procs or add more IPS.

Is there a notable difference between the options given for the initial combo weapons? I already have the Furax Wraith, but my friend is trading me the Synoid Heliocor, and I was planning on going for the Praedos already. This wouldn't be too much of an issue if I didn't need to choose only one of them to potato.

With Vinari alive you probably won't need the health orbs. You just need to keep Vinari on heal. You are also using Rolling Gaurd, Breif Respite and Primed Sure-footed. You really don't need to worry about health orbs.

@@Bina69 I would say probably not, although I would also say it's entirely dependent on your kill rate, especially with eximus enemies, since they now drop health and energy orbs on death.
Considering the footage from the video, though, I would say that Synth Fiber is probably not needed. If anything, it would probably be better to put a r0 Link Shields on Venari, so it can take advantage of shield gating.

I see a video like this where an Acolyte is hit 3 times and is dead, I am amazed and I have to build it. I follow the guide, making the few changes suggested. I use Fragor Prime with Spoiled Strike as I don't have Arcane Fury. I go into the first Grineer Exterminate Steel Path mission all excited to test it out, just for my Whipclaw to fart out a measly 1800 damage... Saying I am disappointed does not even begin cover it, I am yet again frustrated as another great build showing exactly how to get those high damage numbers does not perform in any way what is shown, leaving me to wonder what the hell did I do wrong...
Small Edit: 1800 damage was at optimal conditions, other numbers I saw was 500 crits. Did some more testing in Simulacrum where my damage was insane on level 185 enemies, so the build does deliver great numbers. But as this video clearly shows those great numbers in Steel Path, 3 hitting an Acolyte, I get demoralized and wonder if maybe I misunderstood something.
You possibly missed something, Maybe that you need to constantly have 12x Combo on your melee to achieve this. Your first few hits wont be insane, but once you start to Orange and Red crit it gets better.
Tested this build some more and I was indeed missing something, and that something was reading Accumulating Whipclaws description. Hitting 3 enemies increases damage, so no wonder my damage is so low hitting one lonely Grineer. I went to a Steel Path Survival mission and my damage racked up quick. So I will apologize for my initial post sounding so harsh. Looks like things works as indented when you use it under the correct conditions. I feel so dumb right now.

envoy has base cold, with a tox lich no elemental mods are needed
I'm using these builds and my whipclaw will average only 3k dmg. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
Maybe you need to build enough combo first.
And don't forget to use accumulating whipclaw as described on the mod.
remember that Accumulationg whipclaw stacks up to 325% dmg multiplier so keep spamming that abilty,
once ur melee combo and acc. whipclaw is high enough u can start clearing rooms in one whip!

No slash build ? I thought that was the best as far as kpm for a long endless so mission?
Slash is the way to go for endurance. Corrosive eventually falls off due to scaling armor values. Slash does not. Corrosive is better for normal missions though, though not in any meaningful way as the raw damage numbers even from a slash build in normal missions is more than enough to one shot everything at max combo. My personal stat stick is viral slash and it performs way better on endless SP than a similarly well riven'd corrosive one based on testing. They both work but Slash is definitely faster at dealing with the heavy armor scaling.
Curious if I can just use Corrupt Charge for initial combo, because I'd like to have more options for melee. I also have a zaw riven with stats that work well with Whipclaw. I think I'll give that a go. Awesome builds.
I hate myself so much for trying to get the normal khora instead of waiting for the prime version considering how hard it is to get the normal khora (for 3 days I have got 2 khora blueprints, 1 khora neuroptics, 5-6 khora chassis and 0 systems) why do you have to get to zone 8-12 to have a high chance of getting the blueprints needed but even with a full squad it's still difficult and Octavia is only Warframe I got that can cover a large amount of ground in little time

OK, I figured it out but will leave this here incase anyone else is clueless like me. My aura mod was min. Once I put max endo on it, capacity went to 74. I have duplicated this build here item by item and triple checked. it matched and Formas as shown. However you have a capacity of 74 but I have a capacity of 64. What am I doing wrong?

venari can 1 shot lvl 165 tank units, but their animation is pretty slow. Wouldnt say their damage doesnt scale.

I don't see how this is different from normal companions? I spend pretty much every mod slot on keeping my stupid cats and dogs alive, and they still die withing a few minutes. Panzer devolution is the only thing that actually makes a difference. Even though my Vulpaphyla is sort of immortal, it still spends more than half of the mission as a larva. I guess you can cheese the system by using link mods and Inaros, but nothing else can keep these pets alive more than a few minutes in higher level missions.

Hi, is status chance important for khora stat stick? i have got a dual zoren riven with -105% status chance and i am wondering if that will affect the damage.
For a corrosive approach like I've shown here, not really no. You'll proc no status at all but the damage will still be as big as ever.

Her whip targeting is still buggy as hell and you wont hit anthing if you aim right at the enemies in front of you! You have to aim lower, almost at the ground if they are close.

If an enemy is "stunned" by the strangledome, the whipclaw's hit can chain to enemies behind walls, floors, and ceilings. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the radius stat on the whipclaw can allow you to hit behind walls n stuff too?

Watched another video and the guy said never add status mods. Said you want to build for slash only and not to add primed fever strike. Said it is weaker. And his build adds weeping wounds. His build consisted of; Primed pressure point, buzz kill, spoiled strike, organ shatter, weeping wounds, gladiator might, blood rush, and a riven mod.
Slash build is very good idk what is he talking about he didn’t even talked about weapons with high riven dispo where you can easily get 300% cc and 150 cd

They go down reasonably fast if you have the augment. And if the overguard is gone

Very good question. I've wondered this myself. I was told no because the stat goes straight to your secondary. What doesn't make sense is it has increased combo duration on R5 and secondaries don't need combo duration so I want to say yes but I've been told no lol

These new builds with low health are really starting to bother me. The new shield gating meta makes ppl play like headless chickens. You can't even stop to aim and enjoy a little whatever weapon your using. And it's not only you, it's almost every other youtubers too.
It's not just relying on shield gating he has the mod Rolling Guard on there. Learning to use Rolling Guard and Adaptation early on instead of health and armor mods not only will keep you alive but scales better later on in the game.
If you want a frame that can be a bit tanky and still get a bonus loot skill just use nekros
@@madmanbenji Adaptation scales better later on in the game? Adaptation is trash on any frame that doesn't have an innate DR ability. Even if you do have it, the things that one shot you are stuff like bombards, to which you will never have 90% resistance built up. They will just show up and shoot a rocket at you while you have a dead mod slot on your frame.
