When I picked up my Model Y 2 days ago, it was 106 degree F and the staff just gave me the card and told me look for my car with my name on it somewhere in the sea of Tesla. It was 5:30PM and she was sweaty and smelly. She is so done and over. I cannot get mad at her coz I am also exhausted and sticky..
Actual first thing you wanna do before getting all settled in and customising your cockpit is checking the car for paint defects, unreasonable panel and interior trim misalignments, and other issues. 🧐 These MY must come from China so their quality must be very high now but it's always a good idea to double check. Otherwise congrats on the purchase, it's doubtlessly the best car in the world until Tesla makes a better one!

I’d like to know how you find the glass roof. I can only imagine it radiates a lot of heat on hot sunny days and you would have to crank up the A/C to over come the heat which in turn reduces efficiency. I’ve lived in WA before and know hot it can get.
Temperate wise, I haven’t found it an issue so far. Summer will be a real test though. I will make sure to make a video about it when the heat steps up. I’m about to publish a video on a road trip in W.A. The range did deplete more than the trip estimate. That’s with Aircon sitting at 21. I’ll also do a range test in summer with the Aircon cranked and see how much more it drops efficiency.
It seems your MY have the 12 Ultra Sound System (bumpers). Can you confirme? Thanks. New ones don't have it. I'm a little concerned, but no problem... :)
Yeah. That was one of the reason I was hesitant and my Model 3, premium sound was only included in Long Range and performance model. Found out the Model Y standard has Premium Audio activated, heated seats, front and rear and floor mats, powered trunk. All the extra I was concerned about were included with Standard Range Model Y.

Gives a pre tax dedication from pay and covers all expenses like, fuel (supercharging) rego, insurance, repairs. 2 year agreement then you can decide to re lease, purchase or trade in and begin new lease. I have : MODY21 SY6LR but was expecting to see 2022 it looks suss to me… please kindly confirm 2) noticed my VIN number looks very strange and cannot got it aligned with and decoded with any Tesla VIN scheme; it is like LR…….. I read it should start with a number? Was yours like that too? Thank you tremendously for your timely response mate🙏
Hi Paul, 1) I checked mine and doesn’t have a drives model Code. Has a standard vehicle code but looks very random. 2) my VIN does start with an LR. Not sure about deciding.
