It would have been helpful to see how to oil the machine. I know every machine is different but an example on this machine would still have been helpful.

if you have your manual, you should be able to find instructions in there. if you don't have the manual, you can probably google it on line. (my sewing machine should never be oiled, according to the manual)

You definitely want to consult your machine's manual for any oiling, as it's pretty dependent on the type of machine you have!

@@emme3081 Not the point of my post. Just showing a tube of oil without actually showing how it's done for that particular machine wasn't a very helpful video.

@@SeamworkVideo I believe that is what I said, each machine is different. Just would have liked it if you actually showed how it was done on the machine in the video.

You need to remove the Stitch Plate and clean the feed dogs under that. AND remove the bobbin, bobbin casing if it comes out, and clean those spaces too. Tiny brushes and pipe cleaners work well too.

Maybe we can do an "in depth" machine cleaning video!

Yay, I like the slower pace of the video and that you put the words separate so that it is easier to see what is being shown.

Oh great, that helps to hear!

I've been using an air duster can. This is pretty amazing all the stuff that is blown. Is there a video to demonstrate how to oil the machine?

You definitely want to consult your machine's manual for any oiling, as it's pretty dependent on the type of machine you have! Compressed air blows a lot of lint into deep parts of your machine, so you might be better off using a vacuum!

Please show us how to oil a machine. I’ve never done mine because I have no idea how to do it and I’d hate to get oil in the wrong place, where it will mark my fabrics.

Every machine is different! Your machine's manual will have maintenance info. If you don't have a manual, search for your machine's make and model here on TH-cam.

Just brushing the open bobbin door is useless... you have take out the bobbin, remove the hook and remove the feed dog cover...then brush out ... and do it everytime you change a bobbin, if not more often!

This was meant to be a quick reminder for general machine maintenance, but maybe we can do another video in the future with details about cleaning. Thanks for the idea!

I would change the order of cleaning - do the oiling first, THEN do the cleaning of the inside and outside of the machine. If you drop a little oil while you are oiling, you won't have to clean the outside AGAIN.

Nice video, good lighting, but just not up to your usual very useful information. Looking forward to the next one.

Totally useless video that does not show how to actually properly maintain your machine

For your machine's specific maintenance, we recommend you consult your manual, as they are all quite different! Thanks for the feedback,
