  • It's time to tackle a space in the house that has been bothering me for a while: our first and second floor landing! This is an area we come through multiple times a day, and it's been unfinished and not exactly safe for months now. Let's give it some personality!

    Love you're videos for future reference I have a picture hanging hack if you put some painters tape on the back of your picture frame with a pen or marker mark where the nail goes than take off the tape and put the tape on the wall put the nails in the wall where you marked on the tape pull off the tape and put ur frame up hope that made sense and hope it helps

    This comment is two weeks after the video but it might help for future painting projects. Get a paint edger for where the ceiling and walls meet. It's a rectangular pad that screws onto the extension rod.

    It looks lovely! And I can't wait to see what you're gonna do with your garden, so exciting! Because you haven't been in this house a whole year yet: before you remove any plants, be sure to look up what they are first, because they might surprise you with beautiful flowers you didn't know you might like to keep! Good luck :)

    • @Loepsie
      @Loepsie  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Removing any plants is not part of the plan- only adding. Adding LOTS 🤩 (Well aside from the prickly hedge in the front yard which I hate, that's definitely going)
      It's been so fun to see everything that popped up over last summer, even the things that may have been weeds. If it blooms it's not a weed has been my motto so far, haha! Can't wait!

    You do such a great job painting I painted my sewing area and never want to paint again I hated doing it so much. LOL! So I only did a quarter of my sewing area and the other side I am going to a feature wall with wallpaper. I would totally paint that banister green, but then I just love the color green and I think it would look awesome! That staircase and entrance area looks amazing now!

    Yesterday I was thinking how I know I do a lot of things, but they still feel all over the place and therefore I don't consider myself successful or "having it together". Then I asked myself what success even would look like to me. I thought: "Someone like Loepsie might be my idea of success - she walked her own path and she made it work."
    ... only to then watch this video on the following day and hear you telling us how you feel it doesn't feel real and it's not significant... 🤡 Really made me start laughing. I guess we're all just trying to figure it out, aren't we? I've been watching your channel for at least 10 years now and I saw how far you've come. You always kept it fun, fresh and genuine. You made your channel evolve along with your own person in a most natural way and I'm sure that took a lot of work behind the scenes. Throughout the years, your content has had such a huge impact in my life - not only your videos kept me company during highs and lows, but I also started to cook with your recipes (I was starving in uni, lol), you inspired me to find my own clothing style, you recently gave me courage to start sewing my own clothes, you taught me how to be brave enough to try out new projects, to be resilient against frustration, to find satisfaction in my end product and to learn from my mistakes.
    I think you can and should be proud of what you've been doing. And then, I'll once again let myself be inspired by you, and I'll try to start being proud of my own journey, as well ❤

    hahahaha, oh man!! the steepness of that staircase, lol, I swear, northeastern France, Belgium, and the Netherlands all have those dang steep staircases, lol. In my brother-in-law's house near Lille they're steep like this too and I have to turn around and climb down them like a ladder, hahahhahahahhaahahhahahaha, I'm so scared each time, and my bro-in-law just bounces down them regularly like they're no big deal

      Wait wait if you think these are steep, what do your staircases look like? Which country are you from?

    • @aeolia80
      @aeolia80 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Darenim I'm from California, but I've lived for 5 years in Korea and now settled near Paris. The only time I've ever come across stairs like this personally is in places like Lille, Belgium, and the Netherlands, I was told it was because the really old houses were built by boat makers that built the stairs like on boats. In the US they are not narrow or steep like this and the step is wider too while these tend to be narrower (because of US regulations). In other parts of France I've been to the staircases can be narrow but they aren't really that steep and have treads that aren't narrow

      @Darenim ปีที่แล้ว
