From what I've heard, "modern medicine" mostly involves so-called "doctors" giving out prescriptions for medications that relieve the symptoms of sicknesses, but do nothing about what actually causes them. To make matters worse, many of these "meds" contain toxic chemicals that can make people sicker than before, and might even shorten their lives. Yet, the doctors keep pushing these medications on everyone because it's profitable for the big business pharmaceutical companies, or "Big Pharma," as some people call them. This is the result of how medical schools never teach their students about the true nature and causes of diseases, or about proper nutrition. Just as a real estate agent's motto is "Location, location, location," a supposedly "modern" doctor's motto is "Prescripe, prescripe, prescripe." It's no wonder a lot of folks are turning to natural medicines or holistic cures.

The plague is still with us, in fact it is common in Colorado as animals will get it so it is spread that way. Unfortunately a 10 year old child from Colorado just died of the plague. It is curable caught early, unfortunately this child wasn’t lucky.
Plague went on for about a thousand years and trickled away by the early 1600s. And even then. It wasnt like it just ended one day. It came and went as it pleased for a long time and took its time in making its exit.... City to city, state to state country to country. Its kind of relative. Its just kind of misleading to historically just say it suddenly ended at this one moment in the 1300s....
Kind of. The ruling class has always existed in every facet of history and has continued to seek to ensure their power goes unabated. Like in the USA, we sort of have a nobility class going on when you think about it (The Walton Family (Walmart), the Musk family, the Clinton family, the Trump family, the Dupont family, the film industry, Bezos, the media, etc.) and all sort of wanted to keep the peasants working in order to ensure their continued wealth and power gains. Now we are seeing a demand for higher wages and companies and many states don't want to pay their workers more so they are either pretending the pandemic doesn't exist, or enacting laws that push workers to get jobs immediately cutting off their unemployment benefits if they don't, or crushing unions like they are doing in Alabama against the coal miners, or the unionization attempts in Walmart and Fritos. History has changed for the better, but the ruling class and nobility have always sought to stifle any change in wealth and power.
The last time we did this was over 100 years ago; since then we bin busy with a few world wars, a decade of depression where not one nation in the world made a profit, and the technological changes brought on by the silicon chip .. oh and we went to the moon; scared ourselves silly with the atom bomb and there was The Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the rise of heavy metal. Excuse us if we couldn't fit in something we actually solved at the time. Actually, it was mostly hidden because nations didn't want to be seen as vulnerable in war. Only Spain regularly mentioned it in their news. Yes we are forgetful; but we got lots else to be going on with. And we didn't need history to solve this current problem because science/medical expertise that is new and innovative and _not 100 years old_ is what is saving us now.
I cant imagine just how scary and terrible it was to live and most likely die during something like "the Black Death". Mustve been absolutely horrifying.
That “dousing your hands in vinegar” thing probably saved countless lives. All be it they probably never made a connection or understood the “why” if they had made the connection.
When half the world dies, the other half inherits. More money in fewer hands meant more disposable income. This cash fueled the pay, ents for great art. People who once had only half as much money to live on wanted to live like people they considered better off….wanting stuff like having a change of clothing. Of course when half the workers died off, the remaining workers’ labor was more valuable.
Why are you repeating what was said, essentially, in the video; like it's a new thought? All of this was presented by the channel. Where is your own thought?
Something ironic about saying "Serfdom, a system where few collected wealth and many starved" in Modern Capitalist America - a nation where few are so rich they can rocket around the earth while hundreds of thousands are sleeping in the streets and even more are starving on a daily basis
Y know dude, why dont you just pick up and move to another country where you can experience actual serfdom. China, Venezuela, Cuba, north korea, vietnam, the phillipines, sudan...take your pick.

Frankly Wuhan Hu 1, the correct name for covid-19, is so mild that it won't have much impact at all. The real impact will come from the games we played with long-term unemployment and simple payments the population. These payments have shown that people who are paid just to exist choose not to work, which is why we're currently suffering from worker shortages in a lot of businesses. Universal basic income is a terrible idea. It will only result in inflation and an explosion of the parasite class. The good news for those of us who choose to continue working, is that wages are going up because of the labor shortage. Now we simply need to cut off payments to all these otherwise able-bodied people who should be working. Ashford social upheaval, it's made it very clear that bored immature people that you pay not to work can get up to a lot of mischief. The Democrat party's latest terrorist Wings BLM and antifa are doing a lot of damage to many cities. The good news about that is it a lot of population seem to be realizing that these people are worthless and they will stop supporting them. Apologies for any grammar or spelling errors, I'm using voice dictation and I'm not going back to correct.
@@thebarkingmouse lol. On the payments that the government are giving out. If that’s is enough to convince people not to work then we really have problems. Show me a place in the country of the United States where 300 a week is enough to make a living and I will move there ASAP! . The problem is not the payments. The problem is that this pandemic has showed that people know their worth. They have tasted what it’s like to work from home, start a business and not having to answer to a boss. And they love it. I have not rebuttal on the Universal income plan but regardless of who is in office it will never pass because politicians will say anything to get elected but only do the bidding of corporations. Comparing vid to the black death is like comparing apples to juice concentrate. One has a 3.4% mortality rate while the other has a 30% to 60% mortality rate. Not really the best equivalent but I understand you're trying to tap into recent history. I just wanted to put some context out there for the folks that try and legitimately claim the two being identical.
We also have to see this as a cautionary tale. This was just "The Big one" of the plagues. They came in waves and killed more each time each decade. I'd rather we were overly cautious than not listen to science and not learn from our history. Covid could be the beginning that we can learn from and prepare accordingly. Be cautious but not anxious. Let's be honest- it could have been a lot worse.
Maybe because of modern science and medicine vid did not take the numbers comparable to an old fashioned plague. Maybe if people behaved more responsibly the current death toll would be less.

That’s what I kept reminding myself when all the business were shutdown… “at least I can leave my house without dying. Everytime I learn about the middle ages I'm reminded of how much I love modern medicine. 😅
Just as a real estate agent's motto is "Location, location, location," a supposedly "modern" doctor's motto is "Prescripe, prescripe, prescripe."
It's no wonder a lot of folks are turning to natural medicines or holistic cures.
@@michaelpalmieri7335 Modern doctors when they see a woman with any sort of health problem whatsoever: hmmm so youre vomiting every day and have excessive diarrhea and migraines…have you tried birth control or simply ~being less anxious~
There were kings who would have given half their kingdoms for simple antibiotics that we enjoy today. Some kings died of dysentery even.
@@michaelpalmieri7335 What are you talking about? Symptoms often need treating too, and doctors do treat what actually causes diseases. Examples of this are vaccines, appendectomies, antibiotics, and many, many more. I really don't see how you have a problem with doctors prescribing drugs. They're supposed to. That's what makes you better. Sure, drugs may have toxic chemicals in them, but so do foods. Medicines are balanced by experts so that they don't harm you, or so that if they do, they do more good than harm. Medicine has improved drastically, it could be so much worse than it is now and still have improved. There's a reason the bubonic plague isn't a problem anymore, and that's modern medicine. Sorry is this is kind of rambling and disjointed. I don't have time to fix it.
@@michaelpalmieri7335 my meds help me manage my MS and epilepsy symptoms. Neither has a cure. Without y prescriptions to control the symptoms my quality of life would be so much worse than it is currently. Medication isn’t bad
The plague is still with us, in fact it is common in Colorado as animals will get it so it is spread that way. Unfortunately a 10 year old child from Colorado just died of the plague. It is curable caught early, unfortunately this child wasn’t lucky.
I think the mass labor crisis that we're experiencing is good example of what those individuals experienced.
As a nurse, I kind of want to have those plague outfits back.

Objectively correct.
Humans are so forgetful, we constantly make the same mistakes that can easily be avoided
Like Driving. People know accidents happen, but forget. Til it happens to oneself or Infront of them
The last time we did this was over 100 years ago; since then we bin busy with a few world wars, a decade of depression where not one nation in the world made a profit, and the technological changes brought on by the silicon chip .. oh and we went to the moon; scared ourselves silly with the atom bomb and there was The Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the rise of heavy metal.
It’s true history repeats itself. Unfortunately many people want to ignore it or rewrite it to match their own narratives.
I cant imagine just how scary and terrible it was to live and most likely die during something like "the Black Death". Mustve been absolutely horrifying.
That “dousing your hands in vinegar” thing probably saved countless lives. All be it they probably never made a connection or understood the “why” if they had made the connection.
That's crazy how similar the issues they face we face now.
Or they had to work twice as hard

People realizing their self worth and demanding better working conditions/wages from the rich after surviving a crisis sure sounds familiar 🤔🤔🤔 Can't think of 🤔🤔 Where I've heard that 🤔🤔 Before 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Frankly Wuhan Hu 1, the correct name for covid-19, is so mild that it won't have much impact at all.

He said in the video the death rate of COVID is only a fraction of the Black Plague, so I don't know what else he should have said.
3.4? Where the fuck are you.. it’s less than 1 here
We also have to see this as a cautionary tale.
