As a lego monkey kid fan, thank you youtube for the most random reccomendation. Love the Ulong reference someone made (all of the DB ones!) Everyne did a great job on this.
Yeah, the Dragonball references are amusing. I also really like that Oolong segment because it’s just generally really well drawn and animated. I love all the transformations he goes into there.
Toshiyuki Nishida, the actor who originally played Pigsy (Cho Hakai) in the first series of Monkey, passed away on the 17 of October 2024 at the age of 76. May he rest in peace... 4th November, 1947 - 17 October, 2024
The shape changer was smart. He knew that the group would think Tripitaka was on his own, and completely ignore the dragon-horse. Because everyone ignores the dragon-horse.
This has to be hands-down, the best reanimated I’ve seen on TH-cam. Even those clips that aren’t anime studio level, have enough charm and comedic purpose behind them to put them on par with everything else. There’s not an ounce of fat on this.
Absolutely incredible! I’m bummed that as an American, this show was sadly never amongst the rotation of content I could have had the pleasure to watch back as a kid in the late ‘80s & early ‘90s. It’s amazing to see people who it was able to have an impact on collaborate on an animated love letter to both the ‘70s show & Journey To The West itself
The way i legit screamed omg, this was my biggest comfort series. The video has only just started and I'm so happy. Hope the animators had fun animating this, or are at least proud of themselves aaa
i adore this an indescribable amount, the uniqueness of each hand and mind in one project is such a joy to see!!!!! plus the humor of each artist I LOVE THIS SM!! everyone did such an amazing job
A superb reimagining of a classic of Australian television (and a classic tale in the most literal sense)! Only my highest respect to all the animators who came together to make this a reality! Keep up the great work, and have a lovely day!
Holy shit, I remember owning this very same episode on VHS as a kid! Thanks for recreating the childhoods of so many! You've all done a fantastic job!! X3
This made my day, and gave me some inspiration. I like the editing and pacing. Everyone part fit so well I hardly noticed any transitions. There is not one design I dislike, all the different interpretations make sense and imaginative. Thank you everyone who contributed to this video!
Ever since Black Myth, I have found a treasure load of magic: Lego MK, the 1986 series and now this. I already read a brief version of the JTTW, and I am having a blast 🐒
This is wonderful. What a great variety of artists. I grew up watching this show. I loved the silly English dub. Shame the English VAs didn’t get any credits for this tho.
This is the greatest random thing the algorithm has coughed up

As a Chinese person I highly approve of this among us arc
I can’t get over Toph Beifong model as sanzang
still cannot get over this, everyone understood the assignment and it turned out absolutely amazing

Are the birth/death wrong?
@hectormanuel8360 Corrected the year to 1947
@@DuwangKaizer i'm glad I helped
@hectormanuel8360 Thank you!
the voice acting has such a wild energy to it i have never experienced a dub like this i love it
For an early English dub, it isn’t half bad.
The shape changer was smart. He knew that the group would think Tripitaka was on his own, and completely ignore the dragon-horse. Because everyone ignores the dragon-horse.
The nature of Monkey is indeed, IRREPRESSIBLE!
The animation is legit better than almost everything on TV or in theaters. Yes, even the silly ones.
HAHAHAHA THE BUTCH HARTMAN WUKONG GOT INTO THE FINAL CREDITS I'M REELING, thank you for this opportunity and everyone's done amazing!
Fantastic work everyone! Glad to be a part of such an amazing project

I didn't know this was something people were working on omg this is the show my whole family and I love and adore 🎉
The story of Sunwokong has transcended time to become a cherished source of inspiration worldwide. 🌎 ✨️
Without it, we would never have the privilege to see any of the Dragon Ball series.
Oh my gosh every artist here did amazing on this!!!!
As a JttW fan, super happy I got this hidden gem in my recommendations
This video has criminally low views for the amazing talents on display here
Insanely well made, such good work from everyone who participated!!
Easily the craziest multi collab animator, reanimated fan project I’ve ever seen! And I love it!
HAHAHAHAHA I really love how styles are changing in every part of animation. It's so chaotic, and it's so funny 😂
This is the most unique collab I have ever seen, so much talent. And art styles, it’s so awesome!
I like the paper animations a lot too

"tripitaka was alone" poor horse, forgotten once again
I feel like I just watched a fever dream.
A pleasure and a privilege, y’all! 🥂✨ You guys are some talented peoples. 😤❤️🔥
The way i legit screamed omg, this was my biggest comfort series. The video has only just started and I'm so happy. Hope the animators had fun animating this, or are at least proud of themselves aaa
I love how every character has a stereotypical Chinese accent
i adore this an indescribable amount, the uniqueness of each hand and mind in one project is such a joy to see!!!!! plus the humor of each artist I LOVE THIS SM!! everyone did such an amazing job
I love it. I love it so much.
But I wish I knew which artist did which part. Some of these NEED to be given more recognition.
It's displayed on the top with their names and social media!
Criminally underrated piece

Legendary Algorithm pull right here, great work from everyone involved
What a cult classic and the people who worked on it give yourself a pat on the back because this is amazing
This was so fun! Everyone did a fantastic job!
This was a treat to watch. I was not prepared for this level of effort and quality in this reanimated.
This was pretty dope to see come up on recommendations since I watched a lot of the show back in 2020.
Thank you for existing, and making this😎
Absolutely fantastic works, well done!
Had heard of the show and been meaning to get around to watching. Then when the algorithm sent me here, I was glad.
Welp guess I'm watching this entire thing now.
Min. 12:43 I can't believe someone didn't got the chance to portrait a version of the meme of the ape / monkey swimming between fish... XD
This made my day, and gave me some inspiration. I like the editing and pacing. Everyone part fit so well I hardly noticed any transitions. There is not one design I dislike, all the different interpretations make sense and imaginative. Thank you everyone who contributed to this video!

This whole show should get animated , it’s way better then the stuff we get nowadays
This is the best channel I have ever stumbled upon
Monkey magic lives on in 2024!
Sun WuKong's funky dance at the beginning was beautiful
