Just recently switched from iOS to Android and picked up the Note 9. One of the best phone experiences I've ever had. When it comes to price versus feature comparison, the Note 9 wins. If course there are a few quirks with Android over iOS, but still an excellent experience none the less.

I advise you to watch speed comparisons between ios and android devices in 2015 and see it know on modern android and ios devices, you will notice the difference. iPhone is no longer the king of speed or even running apps on backgrounds. many android devices destroys iPhones in speed category plus they give you 100000000+ option to configure. You can also configure the phone speed according to how much battery you would like to consume its your choice not the manufacturer's.

I like iPhones but I didn't use them and I won't as daily drivers. Nah, If you don't mind Apple controlling your life and knowing everything there is to know about you then apple is fine but if you want a phone that YOU control then Android is the way to go. While IOS is a v.good GUI Apple want to have near total control about how you use your phone, with Android the OS is top notch and the user has much more control over their own device.
@angusflys1 YT I don't have burn in screen issue on my samsung midrange phone. Probably because I'm using black theme and use less brightness. I don't have any lag issue and I've been using over a year now and it still fast.
Hi, I came back to Android after 6 years with iPhones and I'm totally in love with the Note 9. I thought I wouldn't use the s-pen but boy has it been great for a bunch of things like notes, cropping videos, translation, simple gaming, etc. and of course NO NOTCH, 3.5 jack and the possibility of microsd. I don't regret for a moment buying this beautiful beast.

This is the best phone, my experience with this has been absolutely stunning. Gorgeous display, love Oreo 8.1 plus Good Lock UI, amazing design, performance is as fast as you need, and as like other android devices you’re able to customize with apps like Fluid Navigation Gestures, Glimpse Notification, and also changing the Minimum Width in Developer options to 450dp, phone looks amazing.
I have it and it's the best phone i ever had...drawing on it is magical..i dont worry about charging anymore...battery last one full day ...screen is awesome and speed is more than great...camera is great and i agree some negative stuff but very minor...with the S-pen: in my opinion it is the best phone of 2018.

Intelligent scan is face + Iris. It's more secure, so takes more time. It's good to have that option, along with face, Iris and finger print all separate. I prefer intelligent scan for security, but sometimes it doesn't work and you just cancel it and rescan.

I honestly think this is the best phone of 2018.. Although I can agree the front facing camera is pretty lackluster when in comparison to the XS or Pixel 3 XL... If your not in the right lighting..but I'm not really a selfie kinda guy so that really doesn't bother me .

I don't know if you know this but they just came out with a software update for the camera. I haven't really checked out the update yet but it's suppose to fix all the little issues that people noticed when they got there phones and used the camera's.
I really hope we see more updates on this because the camera on this is what's stopping me getting it. I know you can get gcam but I like things built in. I'm coming from a Pixel 2 and take a lot of selfies and stuff with friends and family and want that detail and sharpness on this. Hopefully the update is here soon and fixes that.
Does it actually charge slower than other smaller battery phones or are you just looking at percentages vs time? 60% of 3000mAh is less charge than 50% of 4000mAh.
I got mine for 750 because tmobile gave me 250 for an old S5 in trade. It was sitting in a drawer collecting dust...no skin off my back. Same price as an iphone xr? Ha!

I have had every Note since the Note 2, and it's the pen that makes it for me over the other Samsung phones. For work it has been fantastic. That said, I normally use my Huawei P20 Pro for photography since overall it does the best job. Video is better on the Note.

I have used up 153.4GB of microSD storage and available space of 85GB remaining plus used up 61.1GB of internal storage and only have 450.9GB of internal storage remaining. I have used up a total of 30.22% of microSD and internal storage.

Am I going to see a drastic difference between the 8Ram vs The 6Ram Note 9 and overall degradation of performance over time? Also do you see any obvious differences straight out of the box in performance between the two(Note 9). Came from the iPhone 6s, what a difference. So much customization. After a month of having the phone, I'm still trying out all the different themes, and photo resolutions, and the PICTURE of QHD and 4k HD videos on youtube are phenomenal.

hah I used to think the same but literally upgraded to note 9 roughly a week ago from my s4 mini. I'm slowly getting used to the humongous screen size difference but now when I look at the s4 mini, I feel like I'm looking at an old extinct dinosaur. still on my honeymoon period with my note 9 so can't really say if getting note 9 has been a good decision or not. Don't think its my wisest move as I feel should have waited for note10 to come out or just bought a note 8.

What is the average screen on time you people are getting ? Am only getting roughly 6 hours screen on time with 100 to 0 battery drain in about average of 14 to 15 hours. It is a pretty dope phone. I got to play with it a bit and still have mixed feelings. It was helpful in school, but the ff camera was a put off. Ultimately I went back to my 8plus. Thanks for the fair review.

Can't get reviewers recommended phones such as Huawei Mate 20 Pro or One Plus because they're GSM and I need Verizon. Was planning to get a different phone because I didn't care for infinity display and s-pen. Thankfully I saw the offer: Am using pen more often than expected and am enjoying the great battery life, loud speaker, beautiful notchless display. Yes, beast of a phone!

I'm happier with Note 9 than I ever was with Note 8. I would be a lot happier if Samsung hadn't removed some neat features on this excellent phone. A shame indeed. Yes, the front facing camera has improved but still needs some work. I noticed that I can get better selfies if I use the Spen.
@@johnnydwyer4261 I don't think it's the worst for sure. In fact the rear camera it's very good especially after the latest camera update. The front facing camera also performs well outdoors. The problem with the front facing camera is indoors with either natural light coming in or at night with artificial light. To be honest this is not only a problem with Samsung's phones it's equally trash with iPhones, LG and most. It was because of the Pixel phones that put everyone to shame that we really started to notice this.

It's not as quick as iPhone's but I like using the fingerprint to unlock anyway.

I do see the camera has improved with the recent software updates. HDR has improved a lot compared to when I had it out of the box.

I have had every Note since the Note 2, and it's the pen that makes it for me over the other Samsung phones. For work it has been fantastic. That said, I normally use my Huawei P20 Pro for photography since overall it does the best job. Video is better on the Note.

never ending... had the mate 20 pro, gave it back although it was a good phone but I didn't like it compared to note 9

Am I going to see a drastic difference between the 8Ram vs The 6Ram Note 9 and overall degradation of performance over time? Also do you see any obvious differences straight out of the box in performance between the two(Note 9). I still have the 7 edge; I had the note 7 however had to turn the phone back in cause... well you know why.
I'm ready to upgrade my edge 7 has started to become slow.
Swiping back and forth between home screens shows me nothing about performance. Try a benchmark, geekbench is free.

Came from the iPhone 6s, what a difference. So much customization. After a month of having the phone, I'm still trying out all the different themes, and photo resolutions, and the PICTURE of QHD and 4k HD videos on youtube are phenomenal.
Same here I came from the 7 plus. The note 9 just feels so much cooler. The edge lighting when you get a notification is drool worthy.

People scoffed at me when I traded in my Note 8 for the Note 9, saying I was wasting my money. They were wrong! It's worth every penny and I have no regrets. It's outstanding.

hah I used to think the same but literally upgraded to note 9 roughly a week ago from my s4 mini. I'm slowly getting used to the humongous screen size difference but now when I look at the s4 mini, I feel like I'm looking at an old extinct dinosaur. still on my honeymoon period with my note 9 so can't really say if getting note 9 has been a good decision or not. Don't think its my wisest move as I feel should have waited for note10 to come out or just bought a note 8.
I've owned both the Mate 20 pro and Note 9 and I ended up returning the Mate 20 Pro as I felt the Note 9 was the better out of the two.

Let the apps you do not use sleep in the background. Did it for me. I get 1 day 8 hours. Check it out in the app manager

What is the average screen on time you people are getting ? Am only getting roughly 6 hours screen on time with 100 to 0 battery drain in about average of 14 to 15 hours. It is a pretty dope phone. I got to play with it a bit and still have mixed feelings. It was helpful in school, but the ff camera was a put off. Ultimately I went back to my 8plus. Thanks for the fair review.

Got my Note 9 128GB for a little under $600 a few weeks ago due to $200 store promo and $200 trade in, which was better than that store's own online offerings. Can't get reviewers recommended phones such as Huawei Mate 20 Pro or One Plus because they're GSM and I need Verizon. Was planning to get a different phone because I didn't care for infinity display and s-pen. Thankfully I saw the offer: Am using pen more often than expected and am enjoying the great battery life, loud speaker, beautiful notchless display. Yes, beast of a phone!

I'm happier with Note 9 than I ever was with Note 8. I would be a lot happier if Samsung hadn't removed some neat features on this excellent phone. A shame indeed.
Yes, the front facing camera has improved but still needs some work. I noticed that I can get better selfies if I use the Spen.

@@johnnydwyer4261 I don't think it's the worst for sure. In fact the rear camera it's very good especially after the latest camera update. The front facing camera also performs well outdoors. The problem with the front facing camera is indoors with either natural light coming in or at night with artificial light.
To be honest this is not only a problem with Samsung's phones it's equally trash with iPhones, LG and most. It was because of the Pixel phones that put everyone to shame that we really started to notice this.

A more rounded phone is more comfortable but harder to write with the spen, boxer design for the spen is way better
