The floral in the dry with the Almond and vanilla in Pegasus is gorgeous! I just got a bottle of Kalan for Christmas from my girl and I absolutely love this too! There's a lot of mixed reviews on Kalan and I would definitely try it before you buy it because it may not be for everyone but... Kalan is a unique, masculine masterpiece imo. Absolutely love the mossy scent in this!
Pegasus smells like root beer to me. Was expecting more almond. Still has that Parfums de Marly DNA though
I think I discovered Pegasus in 2016 or 2017 and since then it is my signature scent... I absolutely love this fragrance and I routinely get positive feedback on the scent.
This is my favorite PDM out of the bunch... I get compliments like crazy.
This is a waste of money,,, since there a solid clone for a fraction of pegasus high tag price. It is Craze By Armaf, very similar in each aspects even in performance. Cost 20 bucks,.
@@matchymatchy5978 It definitely isn’t a waste of money. Craze isn’t even 60-65% similar to Pegasus. The projection and logevity is waaaay better on Pegasus. The quality and blend is definitely better on Pegasus. You can’t compare.

@@tmcrazers78I like Carlisle the best. Pegasus is nice also. Like Carlisle without the resinous smell. Layton is layton. Mass pleasing, beautiful. U can't go wrong. Sedley smells like coca cola to me and percival reminds me of bleu de chanel. Galloway reminds me of aqua di parma ambra. Greenley reminds me of guava levaes. Very beautiful. It also reminds me of layton without the vanilla. To me it's summer layton. Hope this helps
You need to get your hands on Greenly. That was the best scent I wore all summer.. I purchased it as “Sutton” prior to it being removed off their website
Nice job. This is one of my favorite scents from the house. I recently reviewed this, it's not as good as your review, but I did one. Keep up the good work.
Enjoyed the review , I've had several Decants of PDM fragrances but not Pegasus , it's next on the list . I have a full bottle of Layton and it's my favourite . I've smelt hundreds of fragrances and in my opinion Layton doesn't smell like any Designer I've come across it's way more rich and well blended . Keep up the good work i enjoy your channel . 👍

To my nose, Pegasus is really summed up by one word: Root beer.
it’s just your nose, try not smelling it so close to the skin but rather up in the air. the oils in this a really really quality and strong some notes you can go faster to than others.

I’m always disappointed when someone says a fragrance smells like root beer and when I get my nose on it- no root beer! Lol. So far I’ve heard two things about Pegasus, Root Beer and Hypnotic Poison. So, I’m ordering a 10 Ml from decantx

Pegasus is great quality but as a scent overrated in my opiinon, Guerlain L'Instant similar but smells much nicer.
this stuff smells amazing. it's like sweet, sexy, and bright. there some kinda freshness to it too i like. i do like herod, layton, and percival as well!

Havent tried Percival yet, but if you like Layton and Herod, I very much recommend Carlisle. Lot of talk of this being a combo of Herod and Layton, which I see, but it really is it's own thing. Just picked up Pegasus today and instantly happy with my purchase. Have Layton exclusif on it's way tomorrow and I really think that covers the PDMs for me. The fab 5, so to speak. Layton, Herod, Carlilse, Pegasus and Layton exclusif. Order I purchased in and zero regrets so far.
Only others I'm leaning towards now are Percival, Greenley (spring/summer)Habdan and Oajan (next fall/winter). But to be honest, I'm already thinking in terms of backups for Herod and Carlisle. Signature fall/ winter scents for me.
I read, that Pegasus has been reformulated recently and the performance has become really bad. Is that true?

I own this, but it is such a non masculine fragrance. One bottle may last me 50 years as I only wear it in the winter and at home.
You’re not supposed to always smell masculine. You WEAR the cologne...don’t let it wear you! Pegasus is a unique smell
Def a winter gem. If you wear it at home, you must like it, right? Tbh, fragrances to me are best suited for home. But maybe that's bc I really started this hobby during lockdown lol.
Idk. It seems the majority of my fragrances have a completely different set of associations and a lot of then the smell literally changes on me after consistent wearing. That said, I wouldnt expect people in public settings to appreciate the fragrance the same way I do. Combined with competing smells and the possibility of someone being offended by my fragrance bc they're comparing it to some 30$ 10 year old cheapie, idk. Fragrances to me, like a lot of art, is more of a personal thing that I dont necessarily share with just anyone.
Fragrances are one of the greatest catalysts for mood, mind set and ambience for my money. Right up there with music. To each their own but in this regard, I am never disappointed. Not so much when I look for validation from others.
I just got it today. Smells like root beer.
It is a beauty once you get past the metallic opening which lasts about 3 minutes
Just got this. The opening wasnt off‐putting to me at all, which I was expecting. This one surprised me. Both Herod and Carlisle took a few wearing before my nose "got it". This one, like Layton, I feel like I "get" right away. Very surprised how polarizing this is. It's fantastic imo.
That metallic note drive me away initially. . .

For me, Oajan is the best from PdM from me. I do like Pegasus, but I'd encourage people to smell Hypnotic Poison by Dior and see how similar it is.

@@seekthetruths22 Fragrance is subjective. A lot of people get really upset without seeming to comprehend that. I like gourmand fragrances a lot so I think Oajan hits it right on the "sweet spot" for me, so to speak. I also like Galloway, which is underrated by them, I think!

@@hocineted7594 I mean, I prefer Oajan, because I like the gourmands. Oajan > Carlisle > Herod. I can wear Oajan any time in the cool weather, personally, for sure.
Would you say this is a mature fragrance or can it be worn by younger guys too and garner compliments?

I recently tested Layton, Layton Exclusive and Pegasus since they were so famous.
I was totally disappointed! The 3 have a very particular smell that personally almost disgusts me!
Am I the only one in this situation? I also recently tested Creed Aventus which I absolutely didn't like either!
My 2 basic perfumes currently are: La Nuit De L'Homme by YSL and One Million by Paco Rabanne. (To give an idea of what I like)

It smells nice but as Dallas said in a subtle way it smells like women’s hair product, some conditioners have a similar almond creamy smell.

Very similar but this has the edge. The quality of ingredients can really be felt and the longevity of this one is unmatched

Layton and Pegasus are my top 2 from Parfum De Marley. I own 3 PDM fragrances and have sampled about 8 or 9 from this house.

Percival, but if you get into PdM it really is worth buying a sweet oriental one, trust me

PDM has great gourmand fragrances. I own Oajan and Layton. Both are worth blind buying. Herod, although a tobacco fragrance, is worth a blind buy and is next on my list to purchase from this house.
Percival may be closest to Dior Sauvage. It's a fresh fragrance but not unique enough to purchase for the price in my opinion.

Can i blindbuy pegasus?
I'm no expert but I would say no. This fragrance is very unique and somewhat suspenseful (if that is even a way to describe a fragrance). It's very different from anything I've ever smelled but the way it develops into the dry down smells good to me. But the opening could be a little off putting. I'd try to get a sample first.
Best idea to sample first unless you know you like creamy almond and florals.

I blind bought it. It didn’t impress me much at first but now it’s my favorite from PDM. I also own Layton and Oajan. All are very unique. I’ve received the most compliments from Layton.

TheNraveles it’s not original is that better word choice, PDM has a number of fragrances that are very similar to other fragrances that came out first.
