I like Pegasus more than the exclusif, but I like Layton exclusif more than Layton
Last month I’ve ordered a discovery set from PDM and my favorite from the bunch was the original Pegasus .
With the discovery set they shipped me even a sample of Pegasus Exclusif and I couldn’t stop my self from going back to smell it so in the end I made myself a little present for Christmas.
Love the “Pegasus” DNA but it’s the darker backbone that finally won me...wow.
Absolutely agree, OG is unisex. I also find it good for the office during colder months, and so more versatile than one might think.
I love Pegasus and i wear it all the time but am very curious about the Exclusif. Thnx for diong this video as it gives me a better understanding of the two.
Really like Pegasus although i don't reach for it that much, regardless pretty exited to try the exclusif version! Now a Herod Exclusif would be really interesting to me!

You nailed the review on the head only thing personally is Pegasus exclusif I prefer for that exact reason it is a bit more masculine with still touches from the original
Great vid I’m comparing samples now. Plan on buying one in 2021. So far I like Exclusif more but I feel as tho if I get Pegasus my girlfriend might be able to get in a few wears

Parfum de marly carlisle is the only fragrance from this house that lasts on me.
Love layton exclusif doesn't last on my skin.
Waiting on a few to come into the mail to try.
Amouage is overall my favorite niche house so far.

Love original Pegasus and I’m all man
Nice review! I tried Pegasus original a few times but just couldn’t pull the trigger on a full bottle because I found its opening is too sharp and aggressive like metal scrapping my nose. I really like its dry down tho. I tried and love Pegasus Exclusif so much. I immediately bought a full bottle of it after the first try. It is so similar to the original but got a much smoother opening, darker and smokier dry down. I love they added Oud in it. I think Pegasus Exclusif is very unisex too but just slightly leaning masculine, which I like as I prefer slightly masculine over feminine. The funny thing is that my husband loves it on me but he resisted wearing the exclusif version as he said it’s too feminine. Actually they are both great and it’s all based on personal preference. I really wish they will have the exclusif version of Herod too.
I am going on Pegasus, it is better for our weather here and all the tests I gave it were fantastic, for me the sandalwood here is amazing here, like Reflection man, for a better price and better performance
Own the original Pegasus and tried Exclusif side by side. Honestly, to my nose Exclusif actually smells just a bit fresher than the original ( probably because of the toned down Almond). But i don't see any reason to own both of them. To my nose they are too similar to have both bottles. Both are great, just not different enough.
Pegasus, Layton and Mediterranean Neroli by Zegna got me into this hobby. So when I heard of an exclusif version for Pegasus, I was hyped but I ended up hating it after testing.
I love Pegasus I have never smelled Pegasus exclusive though
They are both awesome but I much much more prefer the original. Pegasus is special ! Tbh, the Exclusif version just has too much going on but at the same time, not enough. I’m actually at work wearing the Exclusif version as I type this comment lol. Thanks Sebastian - Enjoy ur day!
Also would LOVE to hear your thoughts on Hamdami and Habdan! I smelled Habdan at Nordstrom and really liked it but didn't LOVE it enough to buy.
Habdan is a really nice fragrance.
Hamdani smells like Vicks. It's a bit much for me.

Hey Sebastian! How about projection and sillage? I ordered Pegasus Exclusif from PdM online store, received it last week and honestly I'm a bit disappointed. As far as smell goes it's nice, but for some reason it doesn't projects well on my skin, Pegasus OG is projecting much better. I also received Pegasus Exclusif sample as a gift to the bottle, and it's the same with sample.
Smells exactly like pegasus and Layton exclusif combined! Period!
What's your top 2-3 underrated Parfums de Marly? Habdan and regular Pegasus imo
Try sandal 33 with Pegasus on top. It's amazing
I own both and what are my thoughts on them.
I like the esclusive better, because it more masculine than the original, although there is no metalic touch(i hate cumin in fragrances), it is more rounded, deeper, richer, just like the Layton Ex vs the OG.
Both are dry and long lasting on my skin, also the projection is beastly, i think they get out the cumin from the OG and add this peppery note, wihch gaves earthy nuances + the woods and oud, pretty dark and mysterious for sure. It is pretty expensive till now, so it is not so popular like the other their scent, solid stuff for sure, but note for everyone.
I'd consider Pegasus more metallic/musky than powdery like Reflection Man

Hey Sebastian, thanks for your review. For a versatile signature scent, probably outside of summer, do you think Carlisle and Herod are as classy and versatile as each other as a daily wearer for colder weather?
Also I’m guessing Pegasus is more versatile as a year round scent (other than high heat) than Herod and Carlisle ?
Herod is an easier signature scent and yes, Pegasus is way easier to pull off year round although it performs best in cooler temps

I get a very creamy almond and lavender with the OG, not very powdery. Same goes for reflection man as well, not very powdery, but white floral. I agree with you that Pegasus is 100% unisex, not feminine, but more in the way a bar of bath soap is unisex. In fact Pegasus is quite soapy smelling. Pegasus Exclusif is definitely more masculine and darker but I pick up a very close resemblance to the OG but as you mentioned, not as bright and airy
I agree with your comment but to me both this and RM from Amouage are ultra powdery! Ha noses are so different as I don't get creamy at all from this! :)

I totally agree with you on Pegasus being totally unisex. I have just tried it today and I do love it, am considering getting myself a bottle so yeah definitely definitely unisex to me. Wanted to know ur thoughts on the exclusif version though as I like Layton exclusif more than the original layton but i think with Pegasus am gonna stick with the original.

Pegasus Exclusif has a better scent to me. I get alot of almond in Exclusif. Not the "charred almond" scent.
Woody spicey for pegasus? Hmm maybe i have reformed pegasus. Definitely gives a clean musky, laundry detergent scent, but not in a chemical way. More florals. It is dry, but a touch creamy. Beautiful scent, easy to wear. I have layton exclusif and pegaus exclusif in the mail now
Well it's lots of powdery almonds in the original and the Exclusif is definitely more woods and spices! :)

I basically have all the PDM'S and PDM is my favorite house (#1 is Herod #2 is Carlise #3 Layton Exclusif #4 Layton Original #5 Original Pegasus) so I'm sure Pegasus Exclusif is great as well but do you know if and where I can get a decant of Pegasus Exclusif?

@@ThePerfumeGuy Really thought I might have gotten a fake, but from Notino, doubted it. Compared to a Herod from a local store on paper strips. Exact same scent and exact same ridiculously poor longevity for an EdP, imho.
I think Pegasus Exclusif is much better than the original, even though they're both good.

I had high hopes for Pegasus since everyone is raving about its vanilla almond scent. OMG I hated it! It smells like straight up Raid spray! I feel the same for Layton. Awful awful scents. PDM has some good ones like Carlisle, Herod and Goldophin. Pegasus is not gourmand which I thought it would be, and that cold metallic smell is very off putting

95% of Pegasus is beautiful. But they ruined it with the cumin.
