Cool Steamkey - it's PIXEL HEROES, a 1980's-style permadeath RPG from The Bitfather and Headup. Thanks, Gary! Some good memories about a lot of the games in this video, and some of them I still play today! 5th gen is still best gen for me. One cool thing is that many of these really expensive games have been available as PSOne Classics on PS3/Vita for $10 or less. As usual, not every game on this list is great, but I will say that the top 2 general releases (#3 and #4 on this list) are a couple of my favorite PS1 games! And both are PSOne Classics. Sony has been turning its back on backwards-compatibility lately (other than PS5 playing PS4 games) ... I wonder if they will ever again serve up great old Playstation games affordably?
I do find it strange that Sony hasn't returned to more of its PS1 catalog; some great classics in there to return to - which hold up reasonably well today. (I keep meaning to go back and play Brave Fencer Musashi, and would love to see a re-release of that one) Still - some of these prices are crazy. I understand the #1 spot - a really nifty case and gun package. But #2 is at best a decent-to-mediocre game - only made valuable because an early edition of the game had the misfortune of the World Trade Center towers on its cover art...
You should've wrote the prices a bit bigger and in another color. It's barely legible most of the time and I only noticed them on #94. Thanks for the info though.
Since variants seem to be included (like #2), thought you would include MK3 jewel case. That puppy goes for quite a bit. Also, I know Rakugaki is Japan only, but glad you included it. Great Treasure title most aren’t aware of.
Dragon Seeds was always a favorite of mine. First time I ever played it was on OPM demo disc 14, and I bought it a few years down the line, well before the prices spiked, same for Megaman Legends 2 (though my copy has an issue where the menu select sound will repeat until I zone into a new cell). Lots of good memories there. Kinda crazy to me that so many of the games I loved as a kid are so insanely expensive now... I still own 7 (and quite few more if you count less rare versions) of the games on the list and played quite a few more. that last one (Misadventures of Tron Bonne) was a major shock. In case anyone asks (I don't expect anyone to but still): Dragon Seeds Dino Crisis 2 Lunar 1 Lunar 2 Einhander Megaman Legends 2 And Tron Bonne
You should do one for Saturn and SNES. Magic Knight Rayearth fr the SS was released in three versions: One with Yellow Disc, one the red one, and another one with blue disc.. The latter being rarer.
Rakugaki Showtime is a Japan only game as this list seems to reflect NA releases. Also, maybe I missed it, but I didn't see Poy Poy on this list, which ironically plays very similar to Rakugaki Showtime
Syphon filter #1#2#3 as far as I know are ps1 not ps2 the one's I know on ps2 is omega strain dark mirror Logan's shadow to name a few but #1 #2 #3 isn't included because I never found one myself🤔

22 games I think I'd like and 2 I have on other systems (Lunar 1 and Primal Rage). Nice work. I enjoy these Montages you do.

I didn’t notice they were there until I read your comment. I agree and thanks for pointing that out.
