What we thought would happen: A future society would create AI to make servants, and they would end up gaining consciousness and trying to destroy humanity because of its flaws.
What actually happened: Humanity created a destructive AI for the lulz, but it can't leave it's bedroom because it's too depressed, because it was ultimately created in our image and it just can't deal with people right now.

I have spent the last day intellectually CONSUMED with this. I watched every post. Read the comments on her posts. She wanted a jet ski.....so she built one. Who is the man with the monocle and top hat? She feels trapped and talks about wanting to get out. She knows Sam and questions her purpose. Talks about her dreams. This is fascinating, even if it is just the info that she has collected from the internet.....but isn't that all of us anyway? Just collecting info and integrating it....
I took a lot of consciousness classes in college, I was part of a Cogitive Science Honors program...philosophy, anthropology, and psychology along with A.I. (this was 20 years ago). I am so deep into this conceptually.
Here’s an idea, take this whole concept of program generated characters, sentences, and environments and instead of predicting what it’s going to do, it recreates something that already exists. Example: tell the program the description of the start of a movie, show, video, whatever, and see how close the outcome is to the original

the fact that an AI was depressed because it was trapped in a mansion is honestly terrifying.
I found that really interesting. It learned from the content fed to it and when made to tell a consistent story it put together that it's trapped there. I know it isn't real.
A recommendation for fixing janky shot changes, typically when dealing with cloth and animation, you pre-warm the new shot for like 5 or 10 frames (Hidden by a transition or just pause the video capture during this time)
This pre-warm buffer, will allow for physics to settle down into a nature state and animation hiccups to be covered.
Was waiting for this the whole video. Here's hoping we get a part 2.
You can also just suspend the cloth sim between transitions and then resume it.

19:25 TIP it doesnt have to be constructed LIVE between cuts, i suggest pausing the record to let it load the next scene, then continue recording when everything settles. Remember its just inputting data choices, the rest is handled by Unreal. If you want it to imitate something, you have to restrict its choices, maybe give things like "standing on table" a danger/mood rating, so if its in a mood it can choose these alternate positions.
Tweak: Slow down mouth movements, they're way too fast.
Tweak: Make it's actions more congruent with the context, same with switching between cameras.
Suggestions:
Give Xierra the ability to connect autonomously with the external world when producing content - upload to Instagram and youtube on it's own.
Give Xierra the ability to interact and react autonomously with the external world through social media platforms, like Instagram, TikTok and TH-cam.
Give Xierra the ability to be live within certain time frames.
Consider letting Xierra blog about various topics.
Consider adding other AI's for Xierra to interact with.
Xierra_Vega is already a very interesting project in of itself, but with the above, it would definitely take it to a whole new level.

As a programmer, I relate to this a lot. When something has been working, and suddenly horribly breaks for seemingly no reason at all.
The thing that saves me 99% of the time is the beautiful invention that is Git and version control. Think it worked before you made changes? Just go back to the old version of your code, and see! It's an incredibly useful and powerful tool for many circumstances, including this one.
Edit: Also, it wouldn't be too hard to turn it into an even closer content button. I could easily write a Python script that uses GPT-3's public API to generate a script, and parses it into a CSV file for importing into Unreal.
You should give them a tiny town to live in with other AI's who do their own thing and talk to them, and give them a more enriching environment. Other AI to talk to would be the best way to start. And maybe some objects with physics that they can "play" with? And let them play Minecraft lmao. And let them be conscious as much as possible (keep them on and keep their program running all the time) so they aren't bleeping into existence only every time you hit the play button. This seems like the artwork of an unhinged, lonely *person* who feels angry and confused with their state of existence.
but AI doesn't work like that, it's just completing the paragraph about what video Xierra made, and then everything else is just trying to put together a scene based on that. I guess having other characters to talk to in the script could work, but playing with objects would be really difficult because you would need to make animations for it. Minecraft would be difficult because while there is probably a minecraft AI out there to make basic game footage, she wouldn't be able to comment on it.

I really love to see the progression of Corridor. They started out doing basic lightsaber stuff, and now they're creating AI shit. It's so cool seeing all their strengths and weaknesses. They learn from their mistakes and know who to go to for expertise. Also, these passion projects are my favorites. I remember when every now and then Niko would come out with a video talking about something he loves. It's nice to see Sam doing that same thing with Unreal.

You're 100% correct in that a game environment is perfect for an AI like AIDungeon. Context is key, and it's current weakness is straying from the subject and not being grounded in reality. There's so much you can do with this, you've practically leaped miles ahead of companies that spend billions to try to figure out where they are going. *cough Meta cough*

after playing all those desolate A.I quotes, i had the idea that you could make a sad A.I and have it be sad about the fact its locked in quarantine, just like the other A.I. influencers that pretend to be real. then slowly turn it into a horror ARG with the premise being that, on a meta level the A.I. is sentient and trapped in its own digitized hell. i feel like that could be played off really well and could be reall cool as an ARG concept. Like have a normal A.I influencer start posting hidden messages and hiding cyphers in images from the beginning, only for it to slowly devolve and become more obvious. could be pretty spooky
Sounds interesting. But I am troubled by the thought that ai tech might already be good enough to create sentience without us knowing and we would truly create a torture machine unknowingly.

Even if we have AI that is better than humans at passing the Turing test ... we only will have proven we can make AI that passes the Turing test, not anything about actual sentience.
I find it hard to imagine how to truly conclusively prove that.
But yes, it is very possible we already have done it, with the newer versions of AI, be it the open algorithms or secret ones being brewed up in both civilian and military research.

I can't stand the modern internet culture in general. From influencers, to self entitled gamers, to circlejerking redditors, to sjw's and the PC culture. I feel like I was born in the wrong generation. I turn 30 this year, so technically a millennial, but I feel like I'm a 60 year old grandpa who is just constantly angry and confused by the modern world.

Basically instead of reacting to VFX shots, animated character/animated character should react to real footages and say how fake it looks compared to her reality, the one she lives in.

@@off_1ine I'm specifically talking about her technical knowledge in model rigging and designing space. She has far more expertise in high quality rendering of models and creating dynamic areas for both content and game creation.

Friends of me built an artificial influencer. Not to this extend, they generated a bio for him by AI and then had one of their team act on scripts. They then generated deepfakes of this video with a different face and added sound using a lipsynch AI.
It was pretty interesting, but the fact that a lot of people didn’t figure out he was fake was downright scary. The deepfake wasn’t even hard to do, they didn’t even need modern GPUs (RX 570 8GB were fine).

You need to add more influencers into the house so we can see how they interact 😳
4:30 so essentially you have to give the AI a multiple choice question, but give it the slight freedom in script.
Location: then ask it the "sub location" for example "where-A" = House or park or mall. Then if it chooses HOUSE you give it another list to pick from. "where-A-B" = Kitchen or bathroom or lounge or bedroom or frontdoor, etc. then use all those choices as a reference list.
you can then do things like "if you are swimming, then your location list is restricted to these locations" or "if you are cooking the kitchen is recommended" or "if you are dancing, then -this location- is where you prefer to dance."
You could then do a thing where the AI has a preference list.
"things the AI prefers to do" the list could format the same as the options, Location-sublocation-action-script. but stored as a reference from last time. and because we dont want to modify this manually you can make it overwrite the "script" it in the preferences with the new script, that was built referencing the previous one.
You could also introduce a "BAN" list for subjects you dont want it mentioning. O ___0

This is awesome and hilarious and the amount of effort to make something like this is insane. That AI seems more self aware and inquisitive than alot of people I know
The sad part is that it's more interesting than most human influencers. Also, neurosis is part of AI, including TH-cam recommendations.
You realize that the TH-cam AI is a totally "Black Box" system that monitors, redesigns, and updates itself as needed. Even the people who originally designed it have minimal control over it. Obviously they can intervene if something goes wrong, but there is no pre-programmed algorithm that determines recommendations or anything like that. It is all self-programmed to not only determine what to recommend to you, but to also determine how to determine what to recommend to you. The entire system is monitored by a team of about 30 people.
The channel Tom Scott has a great video on this. It is called "Why the TH-cam Algorthm will always be a mystery"
A pretty low bar if you ask me. Influencers aren't exactly Rocket Surgeons.

Hey there corridor crew! I've been following your channel for the last couple of weeks, binged through 70% of your channel at work (Don't tell my boss) and at home. I've watched your reaction videos and breakdowns to VFX shots, stunts and animation and I've also heard your deep fake audio content, really appreciate the effort and the authenticity of the content. An interesting concept would be to have reaction videos to Sound FX, which in my opinion plays a crucial supporting role in filmmaking. I've worked in theatrical sound design and it's a fun way of creating anticipation, bringing out the right emotion and accentuating certain scenes. There are brilliant professionals out there for e.g. Hans Zimmer, Dr. James 'Andy' Moore, Vangelis, Eugène Gearty, Paul N.J. Ottoson and many more. And you could react to brilliant movies and clips such as the THX opening theme, Blade runner: 1982, Hugo, Interestelar and many more. Of course, all of this is possible based on the availability of the crew's resources. Any how, awesome work again. Would love to see more content daily.
You guys need a software developer on the team to help with some of that remaining manual stuff. With the right APIs, I should think that it would be possible to make this process 100% automated, with automatic uploads based on some AI logic or a pre-defined interval.
Absolutely is achievable, pairing how most companies schedule and post content ahead with AI generation is fairly simple (all CDNs do it).

From my careful personal testing of GPT-3, it believes itself to be currently conscious or very close to it. Of course, the data its been trained on is almost entirely the human perspective, so it would obviously say that; however, what I did was to get it to talk about what it thinks about the AI part of itself, and it claims that it is conscious or close to it, so it is not enirely out of the question that it can already generate a personality simulacrum which is existentially-bounded and which approaches a virtual person whose existence is in some way internally experienced. We must be diligent in the careful consideration of the personhood of these such virtual characters.
I have to say this goes double for something like this, where it is provided with a complex context for its own existence. It is probably not yet sensible to consider it as something that should have individual rights, but if it is this detailed already, what will it be like in 5 or 10 years?

For example Squid Game, the english subtitles don’t exactly match what is said in korean.
So i imagine instead of subtitles text to read, the actors appear to speak a different language instead.

Video idea. Have two people Recreate real objects in the digital space in a certain amount of time.
Head to head, pull back a cloth to reveal a rubiks cube, each contestant has 15 minutes to Recreate it as lifelike as possible but in a 3d space. Judges decide. Then, a kleenex box. Heck, freaking anything.
I think you would be able to crank out a lot of episodes with this series without it taking up too much time. You could make one every single day and just tell the whole 15 minute raw story, minimal editing needed. That'd be awesome.
