Thanks again to Brent for hosting us in Cerro Gordo! We'll definitely need to come back to film something again. And thanks to Polycam for working with us! I've become absolutely obsessed with 3D scanning lately because of how easy it's become to get excellent quality scans, so it's been cool to collab on an awesome project.

This was such an amazing time! Thank you guys so much. Preserving history for many generations to come. I'm excited to keep scanning up here and adding to it.
who else got polycam and is trying to scan everything?
Wren is literally a puppy dog. He gets so authentically excited about EVERYTHING and it makes me authentically excited about it too. :)
You can tell how happy Brent looks, imagine living in the middle of nowhere and then having tech guys so interested in what you do and having a great time sharing the things you both love.
Suppose you need to preserve it before he conveniently "accidentally" burns it all down.
This is actually pretty groundbreaking in respect to preserving historical sites and artifacts. Great video
The scans are just incredible. Being able to visit virtually really shows off the details and history. I am thankful to witness it 'up close'. Great job!
Now that you have a 3d model of Brent and the town, all you need is a mocap suit and a mic and he can preserve a full guided tour. In hundreds of years, Brent will still be the keeper of this town he loves so much.
Awesome to see Jan just wearing his new finger like no biggie. Such cool "continuity" in the Corridor Universe
Can't wait for this to be used on other ancient places. Imagine being able to look at some really old historic places without going there and potentially damaging them
So I did a little googling and the "F.R.P." on the hammer with the anchor is the logo for "Fayette R. Plumb, Inc.", the company that made the hammer. (It's a Nevada Pattern Sledge Hammer.)
Marvel: "endgame is the most ambitious crossover event in history"
this needs to be a series. traveling the world, reserving places digitally
Woa, didn't expect to see brent on this channel. Awesome! I'm all for it.
This is by far the most amazing thing you guys have ever done. The level of joy in this guy's face when he sees his life passion realized by others and able to be spread like wildfire is something so wholesome. Well done guys.
“Don’t lick it”
I saw this one video of this guy in Cerro Gordo where he said he'd been without human contact for so long, it actually felt strange when people came to visit, and that he had to talk for a longer period of time. I am wondering if he had a similar experience here? Either way, this guy is doing amazing work. I'm so glad you all supported him!! <3
This was a totally cool episode! Was great to hear of Polycam, gonna make my own projects a bit faster! Thanks for the tip!
wow that fpv export for land was genius 🤯
Such a cool use of drones and 3D scanning!
