Unfortunately I have slightly lost sight of my creative side of video production and I have began freelance for more corporate work, these days. Sam looking back on it, made me rethink the current path I am on.
I remember watching the Minecraft video as a kid, super nostalgic to see all these videos, but ESPECIALLY that one! And all the renders came out so sick. I loved seeing all the different techniques for mixing real elements or 2D images into 3D!
I was blown away by Niko's. He talked about how he was adding in the plant life, but watching it I didn't give it a second thought until someone mentioned the lighting. I realized it was so life like, that my brain just skipped it as being a normal thing and just focused on the stick and dog.
Not to make it weird, but watching Corridor and revisiting Node videos has really been one of the few things I can look forward to during these times. The pandemic has taken a big toll on me personally in so many indirect and unforeseen ways and watching you guys just doing your thing has truly been one of the few things that makes me happy. I've watched your content for so long it's like hanging out with old friends. So I just want to say thank you guys for being there making amazing content and building an amazing community around your channels. You guys are seriously doing something impactful. I know it's just vfx and goofs, but really it's so much more. Stay awesome guys!
I started watching them regurarly in February this year. Ive been watching old videos and damn this is the best channel on TH-cam. Super creative and funny. Now I am considering to learn VFX to create some cool renders like these from this video. 💪
He looks like what Sam could look like when he's like 50. Or at least looks like it could be his grandfather or something, some of the features just look really similar
Damn, those were some sweet renders. Wren's Portal one looks and sounds amazing and the loop is so satisfying! Peter's use of lighting and particles is also beautiful! GG's all round! Kinda funny that they wear masks and then hug, jump, climb and high-five all over each other though.
Yeah, I'm guessing they're not too serious because they spend most of their time together anyway. Also, a portal effect compliment should mean a lot coming from you! You were one of the first person to get me interested in CG stuff!
Out of all of them I think Peter has the biggest potential. I cannot wait to see him 5 or 10 years down the line. Sam and Niko you feel this mature edge to them, Clint and Peter give me and adventurous vibe, meaning they still have some exploring to do.

Agreed, I've only been watching for a couple of years but Niko's my favorite, there's a genuinely soothing gentleness about him that I'm not only envious of, but also admire very much.
Niko's render is just so perfect. The timings of the loop, the whole setup is amazing. It has so much information concentrated in a 5 seconds loop! And Sam's trip with his past self in 3d is like nothing I ever considered, made me think...
I love how now when Clint describes his workflow, he does it through the lens of his own channel, like an online instructor. And Peter 🥺🥺🥺 Always killing it!
Peter is such a wonderful and talented person. Instead of taking his misgivings with Beeple and getting discouraged, he took that negative experience and learned from it while still respecting Beeple's talent. Some times you can learn good things from bad people when you separate their work from their personality, and that's a hard lesson to learn. I have such profound respect for such a mature young artist. He also just blends so perfectly with the wacky DNA of Corridor and it's lovely to see Corridor foster the talent of a young artist. I can see Sam getting choked up in some of these shots, and for good reason. The young kids who used to do backyard garage vfx have become grandmasters of their craft.
Right?? Before, I was critical of the VFX you see in videos, but now I am mostly reminded of the labours that the artists put on bringing the piece alive...
Whether one discovered Corridor from the "VFX Reacts", or grew up with the early days of Corridor's VFX Behind the Scenes or Vlogs, it's undeniable the amount of entertainment the crew have provided us with each coming year. Absolutely did not realize how long I've been watching you guys and I feel bad I haven't been able to support monetarily or through comments because during that time, I was still trying to make it through my graphic design career fresh out of college, and I'm a silent stalker, lol. But I love how far you've all come and it feels like I've journeyed along with you all also as a creative myself. Also, being stuck at home because I've been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at 30 (going through chemo is real tough), I've just been watching so much of your Crew stuff, and it makes me feel less alone and much more alive (when I'm not heavily fatigued). So thanks for your existence and pushing through boundaries to get where you are. I may not be a VFX artist by any means, but I'll be there as a graphic designer alongside you guys as artists. ❤️ KAY, this wasn't meant to be a speech, but goddamn, lol.
You guys have come a long way and have encouraged me to keep editing myself! Keep going, you'll be directing and editing movies once day and perhaps have a bigger studio. Much love! Goodluck!

i love how clint left corridor yet he's still in the video's like he's never left
Who else really thinks this is the best looping challenge they've done?!
KAY, this wasn't meant to be a speech, but goddamn, lol.
You guys have come a long way and have encouraged me to keep editing myself!
Keep going, you'll be directing and editing movies once day and perhaps have a bigger studio.
Much love! Goodluck!
