I must admit that despite being an evil villain, Doffy had never made fun of his crew. He had odd crew mates and he adored them. He may kill them all in an instant if they betrayed but he treated them like a family too.
He does not feel compassionate about them but he also don't feel disgust or repulsive from them. He only see them as subordinate and that's all that matters to them.

I'm gonna be contrarian and say that the very fact his fights are so consistantly good and that we want more of them is exactly why he shouldn't have more. He gets to radiate the kind of confidence that lets him casually run over Big Mom or wrestle a triceratops hunting in the ancient ways.
This video has probably one of the best uses of this song I have seen thus far. In most other videos using this audio, it's framed as a way to convey a sense of understanding that children often experience with things that are vastly out of their understanding, such as mortality. This, this is different. This time it's an adult that is the centerfold of this story, and definitely not an innocent one in any way, as he was a member of the Doflamingo Pirates and had conceived a child with his wife. But, even so, he dresses up in baby's clothing as it's the only thing that can make his mentally incapacitated wife feel any emotion. Even though he looks immature, infantile, and honestly ridiculous upon first viewing him, I think we can all agree after all was said and done, that he truly is old enough to understand.
All i can say is that i love One Piece so much. Characters like Kyros, Corazon and Señor Pink made the dressrosa arc so good. Sadly the anime adaptation didnt do it justice.
I think it did in its most important scenes. Corazon's death has to be by far my favorite moment in animation, I felt absolutely crushed and I would love to live it again.

whilest not canon, on the cover of manga chapter 1021(spoilers inside currently) has depicted senor pink and franky. the manga covers are typically reader requests of various events that are unlikely to happen or just outright silly, but in 1021 it has that scene, where it could be believed that pink has told franky his story.
When you love somebody who is genuinely hurt, possibly to the point where something inside of them is broken, you'll consider Pink almost perfectly normal. If you love truly, you'll do anything, if it is for that love.
A minor side Villian with a more impactful backstory then most Main Characters these days. Oda is a freaking Mastermind. That Coverpage of Franky and Senor Pink drinking togheter is my favourite Cover Page of them all.

What this teaches you if any is to change before its too late, for señor pink, it was already too late he will always remember his wrongdoing and sins, she can't forgive him anymore, nether can he forgive himself, sad man.
The saddest thing is that Doflamingo does not like loose ends and if Senor Pink went to quit he and his family would of been killed. Doflamingo has even killed his own brother and father. Its even more tragic because of that. If he never met or joined doflamingo he would of never met her. Its not even karma at that point.

Oda had no reason to give this random side villain a full on backstory. Yet he did, and it's beautiful. Franky fights tend to be underwhelming (looking at you, Sasaki), but this opponent compliments him in all the right ways.
The fight does have some problems and a little fluff in the Anime while the manga one has some of the best spreads in One Piece. I love the fight and story but I can see why people might not like it as much if they only went with the anime version.
It's wild how 10 years ago I wouldn't understand his pain. I mean yeah it was sad but now that I am in my 30's this shit HURTS.😭❤ I hope they do meet again... 😢
This came out of nowhere and it was one of the best moments in the entire arc, Oda is just ahead of the curve when it comes to writting side characters
Franky, while eccentric and unapologetic, is emotionally mature(and just emotional in general) it was nice to see his empathetic and mature side with this fight and señor pinks backstory. This is going to b one of the highlights of the entire story, not just the arc, when one piece ends
One of the things I love from One Piece is that it gives you the backstory of the character so you can understand their decisions but at the same time not give justification for their actions. It doesn't put characters in grey... It just say: all this is the story, they are still evil or good

I hated his character design the most and their fight was boring AF. but after knowing about his past I always get emotional.
Nah I loved their fight so much. The fight blended well with the backstory
And it made everything worthwhile.
It may not live to the luffy vs lucci showdown, but it is one of my favorite fight in the series
The fight does have some problems and a little fluff in the Anime while the manga one has some of the best spreads in One Piece. I love the fight and story but I can see why people might not like it as much if they only went with the anime version.
It's wild how 10 years ago I wouldn't understand his pain. I mean yeah it was sad but now that I am in my 30's this shit HURTS.😭❤

This came out of nowhere and it was one of the best moments in the entire arc, Oda is just ahead of the curve when it comes to writting side characters
Franky, while eccentric and unapologetic, is emotionally mature(and just emotional in general) it was nice to see his empathetic and mature side with this fight and señor pinks backstory. This is going to b one of the highlights of the entire story, not just the arc, when one piece ends
His backstory is insanely good. Made him go from goofy and gimmicky character to a tragic one

One of the things I love from One Piece is that it gives you the backstory of the character so you can understand their decisions but at the same time not give justification for their actions.
It doesn't put characters in grey... It just say: all this is the story, they are still evil or good
