What makes it emotional is that part when señor started crying because he finally accepted the fact that she was gone forever.... And the words of Franky at the end of the fight show that even if he's always acting weird he's a grown man who understands señor's pain .. that scene is epic

All i can say is that i love One Piece so much. Characters like Kyros, Corazon and Señor Pink made the dressrosa arc so good. Sadly the anime adaptation didnt do it justice.
I think it did in its most important scenes. Corazon's death has to be by far my favorite moment in animation, I felt absolutely crushed and I would love to live it again.

This episode made me realized how great Oda is in character development. In just one episode we felt sad for Senor Pink while in whole arc he was just disgusting villain.
When you love somebody who is genuinely hurt, possibly to the point where something inside of them is broken, you'll consider Pink almost perfectly normal. If you love truly, you'll do anything, if it is for that love.
Franky, while eccentric and unapologetic, is emotionally mature(and just emotional in general) it was nice to see his empathetic and mature side with this fight and señor pinks backstory. This is going to b one of the highlights of the entire story, not just the arc, when one piece ends

The fight does have some problems and a little fluff in the Anime while the manga one has some of the best spreads in One Piece. I love the fight and story but I can see why people might not like it as much if they only went with the anime version.

Oda had no reason to give this random side villain a full on backstory. Yet he did, and it's beautiful. Franky fights tend to be underwhelming (looking at you, Sasaki), but this opponent compliments him in all the right ways.
This came out of nowhere and it was one of the best moments in the entire arc, Oda is just ahead of the curve when it comes to writting side characters

Oda had no reason to give this random side villain a full on backstory. Yet he did, and it's beautiful. Franky fights tend to be underwhelming (looking at you, Sasaki), but this opponent compliments him in all the right ways.
