Sit in a room for a year doing nothing and then spend a single day doing everything you enjoy most in this life. There will be significant meaning in that contrast of boredom and happiness. Claiming pain is necessary for joy to exist is just a cope. It's an attempt to justify suffering.
It really does hit, especially the scenes with Benson, When we were children we would find him the "annoying" type, to be consistently nagging and angry. But when you grow up, you realize that he is the most normal and "regular" character there is to the show. Infact he really do be chill like that when giving advice to Mordecai. It really hits man (Bojack Horseman clips. I have seen some of em, and they sure do give the brain a thought)
@mrnutman096 from all the crazy shit going on (yea he kinda wack too sometimes) Benson tends to show a more normal side, like he feels to be the most "human" out there. From his rage which used to be annoying and naggy to understandable and reasonable-ish feel. Thats what i stated as in "regular", i mean it is called "regular show" hehe

Bensons words are making me think… think about telling the girl I like I like her, because if I do then nothing might happen but then I will have closure 😞
Here are some things I would like to correct: 1. Adventure Time: It is not the problems we need. It's the mindset that can help us find solutions to the problems. Even if one solution creates a new problem it will help us grow to become better. 2. Rick and Morty1: Love is NOT just a chemical reaction. Love no matter if it's romantic or general it shows that you are able to care. Not just for others but also for yourself. Rick just kinda gave up caring. It is his responsability. 3. Rick and Morty2: Happiness may not always last and could be difficult to maintain but it can always (re)created. It is a road, not a destination. And yes happiness can be a trap if it is abused. But if you give happiness great love and care and share it with right people, it can last for a long-long time. And yes, finding the right people is hard but that is why we need to improve ourselves first. It all depends on us. We need to be patient. 4. Family Guy 1-2: Those are more about the ways society has lied to us for years. To surpress feelings and when they burst out it will become anger, tears or even worse. If we let ourselves be controlled it won't solve anything. If we can't show our true colors to anyone it's just not worth it. And we will be trapped in a downward spiral. But here is the funny thing: That spiral is much smaller than it seems. We just let ourselves sink into it. It is our choice to finally stand up and step out of it. That's all folks! Have a happy life!❤❤❤
About fourth one,its hard to stand up especially when family is involved. I’ve seen people live their entire lives without speaking up about how messed they are from inside and I’m that kind of person too. When I try to speak my voice chokes up and my emotions come out through tears, so I stay silent. When I finally gather the courage to express my feelings it disrupts my mental peace and it takes time to recover. Everything piles up inside and I know if I didn't let this out it will come out in the worst way. All I’m saying is, it’s not easy to stand up and just step away.
Ok, I just made this quote recently. "What's the point in being with her, when she isn't even worth it? What's the point in having love and loyalty for your family if they don't do the same to you? What is the point of having a relationship? Just to not be alone?"
These are all good questions that you should ask yourself when you're in a relationship but if the answers aren't "if it isn't worth it then don't bother anymore." "There isn't, don't waste your effort on people that wouldn't and don't expand the same effort for you." And "you have a relationship because you want to be around this person and want to spend time with them." Then there isn't a point.
Well do they truly love you back? Even if they don't you don't necessarily have to be with them but you still need to love them Even if it is hard Its not really true love if we just are with people that make you feel good

0:43 Okay, love is chemical reactions. So? In fact, this means love is so fucking real that we can literally see it on display inside of our brains. Not only love is a chemical reaction in your brain, your brain itself can't stop having chemical reactions, your body can't stop having chemical reactions, and so does everything that surrounds it, including the people you love and hate. We are part of an ongoing chain of coincidences, but you miss the part where that is beautiful. Remember, you, yes, _YOU_ are made up of stardust, prove it being bright.
Rick says it more in a scientific way (spoilers) this was also his own experience of having ppl close to him and either used him or walked out on him (basically like he lost them) he says it from experience but overall yes u r right too
Rick isn't actually giving a reality check, he's hiding from his own fear of abandonment and loss. This same episode, Morty gives him the *actual* reality check. Rick is framed as being wrong.
Pessimism is bullshit. Wallowing in pessimism and self-pity is pathetic. The real reality check is this: everyone needs help sometimes. Do not be afraid to reach out and ask for it.
people forget that yes, they will feel pain, but that's not an excuse to give up or have a negative outlook on the world. Some people are more comfortable in their misery and drag other people down
The easiest way to feel like the smartest person in the room is to spew pessimism. That way, when good things come to an end you can say I told you so. If you expect nothing, you’ll never be disappointed. It takes real wisdom and strength to find ways to stay optimistic and motivated. Some people choose to fight to stay above the water, others choose to let themselves sink and sit at the bottom. The ones who stay at the bottom can justify it however they want, but they will never see the sun.
I don't understand those people that hate happiness and love, "oh It's just a stupid chemical reaction", yeah dipshit, your sadness too, your hate too, why keep hating things that are good just because you think they are useless? Love can also have a range of definitions, including altruistic, selfless, or unconditional love, which doesn't have to include the horniness or the intercourse act in its interpretation.
“I’m going to die, you’re going to die, everyone is going to die. The only thing you can do about it is live as long as you can and enjoy what you have right now.”
For anyone who thinks the meaning of life is to be happy or that happiness is a default feeling you are setting yourself up for failure and will forever see the world as unjust and cruel. Happiness isn't something you will ever feel constantly without interruption and nor should it be. The best you can have in life is to just be neutral or even just content. It doesn't sound as great as 'finding happiness' but it is the reality and it is better this way. Happiness is a feeling that when experienced allows us to express something genuine and deeply touching it is reserved for moments that warrant it and therefore is not cheapened. If we are always happy then happiness would have no meaning. Life isn't unjust just because you don't feel happy all the time and the reason accepting that is so difficult is because it's scary to know that you will not always be happy and not know for how long you will have to wait before feeling happy again. The trick to it however is to not wait, accept life for what it is and treat every emotion as something genuine that is unmistakable
Constant happiness sounds like a nightmare to me. I hate when I experience negative emotions but I would hate never experiencing them again. They’re important to help us sort through the issues we’re dealing with in our life, they can keep us alive, and they make the happiness we experience all the more rewarding. Balance with every emotion that’s part of the human experience is what’s overall important for long term health.
My counterargument to the Rick and Morty character saying how happiness always ends is the fact that it can always come back, which makes it worth fighting for. It's why so many people have spent their lives pursuing it, protecting it, looking for it and so on. Because we know, deep down, we *know* that happiness is temporary, but just because it's temporary doesn't mean it's never going to come back.
Another counterargument is that EVERYTHING ends, not just happiness. Rage, depression, envy, apathy, whatever; all emotions are ephemeral and come and go with the various events that occur in life, and even if you have a clinically diagnosed predisposition towards a certain feeling, happiness is a barrier that can protect you from yourself for at least a brief moment.
Rick and morty is too negative i enjoyed it at first and the lines said are deep but too negative. I choose to be happier and watch better benson is the best out of all of these.
Videos like these are just, nice to think about life on, at times. Sometimes i just make a comment on videos like these knowing nobody will probably care, but to anyone that reads this: If you're going through hard times, never stop going, never give up. There will be times where you get beaten down, there will be times when you just break down and cry. There will be times when you want to give up, but you have more people who would miss you then you realize. It could be a family member, a loved one, a close friend, maybe somebody you talk to every once in awhile. Hell, maybe its just a simple pet, like a cat, dog, or even a little goldfish. You just being here, will always give somebody joy, even if you never feel like such. There will be times when problems just keep coming, things pile up one after the other, but one thing to remember, is to me at least, good cannot exist without the bad. Sure, to some happiness may be fleeting, but so is sadness. You will never always feel happiness or joy, just like you will never always feel despair or sadness. After every hurricane is a rainbow, after every storm comes peace and quiet, there is always a light at the end of every tunnel. You can keep going if you've made it this far. You're never alone, we're all gladiators fighting our own battles every day, ones nobody else can see, and we will keep fighting. "If you're still alive, you aren't struggling with depression, depression is struggling with you."

It is so difficult to find closure within one's self. It's been almost 10 years since she died and I still think of her every day. I sit in a position I never thought I could reach but at the cost of standing on her grave. I want to find love again, after 9 years of processing the 2 I had with her. But I'm so terrified of hurting someone I love. Even someone I don't yet love is too valuable in my mind to be selfish and love them knowing it will end with one or both of us hurting. I shut out the parts of me that crave it. I hide from everyone and keep my pathetic self hidden from the thoughts of others to keep them from loving me. I'm still sick. But at least now I can't hurt anyone else.
some of these make sense but the one with the guy talking to morty makes literally no sense and has a piss poor argument. "happiness is temporary therefore being happy is stupid" ya sure happiness is temporary and doesn't last forever but so is you know. everything else. happiness is temporary, sadness is temporary, anger is temporary, all of it is temporary. thats the most nihilistic way of thinking and mortys right, thats dumb.
well, nihilism is a reoccuring theme in rick and morty, and it's not really meant to be glorified or adopted as your personal philosophy. rick's probably the most nihilistic person in the entire multiverse, and it usually makes him miserable. the people he cares about most always get hurt, and yet _not_ caring isn't the safe option either. every time he doesn't care, the people that care about _him_ most get hurt. his intelligence is his greatest strength and greatest weakness. he's accomplished so much with it, but he also thinks logic and science can never truly backfire on him or be taken from him, and it also offers an escape from the curse of being human.

something i realised by the end of my highschool time "theres a good reason why one or few close friends, are better than many normal ones. few close friends give a sense of family, while many normal ones make you realise just how replacable both you and they are, once you find more friends yet again" mostly hungout with people during lunch. my classmates rarely left the classroom for it, so i had another group who i was pretty close with (not close enough), and another when that group wasnt present. was friends with all of em, or well some more than others. when the main group got exams and eventually graduated, i was only told about farewells in a call, when they WERE leaving the country. a good friend from the other group was closer friends with someone else, who wasnt comfy joining them when i was around, so i was asked to not join them during lunch - only half the time she would be there, and i practically only hungout with em during lunch. had known someone from a 4th group, so i kinda joined them, but they were only girls so was on my final normal day told to please find someone else cuz girl talk feels off when a guy present. before that i was kinda friends with 2 others, so i hungout with them a little bit aswell. this made me realise how easily replacable i and they were, given the right circumstance, since we were mostly just regular friends, or simply knew each other

I've seen so many people try to prove the 'happiness is a trap' thing wrong. And yeah, some of them have their points, but in the end that guy is right. It's all gonna end eventually, and yeah. Best case scenario is that you two die at the same moment before your love fades.
A lot of people took Rick‘s first quote as him being a miserable guy, but he was right. What people literally call love is that attraction, infatuation. He doesn’t acknowledge it, probably because he thinks the actual love is pointless because he makes it clear that he thinks falling in love will leave you miserable, but real love is the commitment part of it. It’s an action, not a feeling. However, people use the word ‘love’ as an expression to tell how they feel, and a lot of times, how they feel is the infatuation part.
Benson's words helped me get closure to a ruined friendship I had with a girl since someone told her I had feelings. She wouldn't talk to me after that, then the pandemic happened and it got me depressed even more. I moved on a year later when I went to college but the need for closure was still there. There was a new girl that I was ready to ask her out but I was too late since she was already seeing another guy. I told her the truth after that and she was fine with it and we continued being friends. In a way, I was healed and relieved that even though she knows I had feelings for her she's fine with it. That was the closure I needed and it honestly felt like Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man saving Tom Holland's MJ falling from the Statue of Liberty.
Rick's speech about love is pretty true: at the first glance that's strong and it's the most beautiful thing ever but with time that start to rot and then you probably regret that relation. Otherwise Benson make me feel bad when he totally have that meltdown: when you have something you valued a lot the simple fact to thing about losing this one put you into a Superpowered feeling of fear
@@Nezkredk could you define love then cause as far as anyones concerned, it involves some infatuation to a persons qualities, there personality or looks or any other quality.

3:01 this is how I felt this year, because it happened to me. Great video BESIDES the Rick and Morty line in the beginning. Love is VERY real. There is a huge difference between being incredibly attracted to somone and being in LOVE woth them. Love gives us something to persue, something to fight for, and something to defend. It's not a good message for people to think otherwise. Remember that.
Our entire conscious experience is the sum of chemical reactions. Love is very real to the angler fish too, but their experience of it is an all too real nightmare relative to our experience. Our lofty ideals of love are born of luck, that is important to remember when attempting to treat love as some kind of force or energy. Whether or not it is a good message has absolutely zero bearing on whether or not it is true.
You can tell the writers desperately wanted to drop the mic with these quotes. And they say cartoons aren't educational. Though jaded, but has sustinance.
Some wisdom for sure: happiness is temporary, and you’ll remember the evening conversation you had in a cafe long ago; and may life not be so short of it for you, day after day.

After that we both started crying and I said I hated life, and he then goes: you won't see beauty through hateful eyes, and damn that's stuck with me forever. I'll never forget him. He died in a really bad car crash a few years ago and I'll never forget the words he said
I give my condolences 🙂↕️

I used to think like Brian all the time it’s almost scary. For those who want to die, those of you in a hard spot. I won’t lie to you, and tell you everything’s going to be okay, cause let’s be honest, we never know if things will be okay. You’re gonna go on a rollercoaster of events and emotions throughout your life. And that will continue to happen. But still, you’ve gone through so much, and you still haven’t killed yourself. I’m proud of you, so fucking proud that you’ve stuck with me so far. Life is gonna keep kicking you in the face, but you’re gonna be strong. You’ve lasted this long, and I know for a fucking fact you can keep going. You’re gonna struggle, you’re gonna cry. But you’re gonna be you most of all. And I’d rather be stuck on this forsaken rock with you than with nobody at all. It takes a strong person to tie a knot or hold a gun, but it takes an even stronger person to put it down. And you’re the strongest fucking people I’ve ever had the pleasure of having read my comment.

Joy and pain cannot exist without each-other. Pain is what makes joy so meaningful.
If everything was always amazing.... would amazing still be as meaningful?
That why this make sense you have to have something to make it feel meaningful

Me too about squidward
@mrnutman096 from all the crazy shit going on (yea he kinda wack too sometimes) Benson tends to show a more normal side, like he feels to be the most "human" out there. From his rage which used to be annoying and naggy to understandable and reasonable-ish feel. Thats what i stated as in "regular", i mean it is called "regular show" hehe
Totally agree. Imma add that he only wants Mordecai and Rigby to do their best
This is why I always liked the grumpy nagging characters They have a REASON to nag you. Most of the time anyways, and I always respected them and they always became something special to me bc of that

Here are some things I would like to correct:

Mf you are not Shakespeare 😭
@@AngelMartinez-oq4mx but hes right to ask stuff like that
These are all good questions that you should ask yourself when you're in a relationship but if the answers aren't "if it isn't worth it then don't bother anymore." "There isn't, don't waste your effort on people that wouldn't and don't expand the same effort for you." And "you have a relationship because you want to be around this person and want to spend time with them." Then there isn't a point.
Well do they truly love you back?
Even if they don't you don't necessarily have to be with them but you still need to love them

Okay, love is chemical reactions.

K
Human spirt beats the cruel indifferent universe i agree
Constant happiness sounds like a nightmare to me. I hate when I experience negative emotions but I would hate never experiencing them again. They’re important to help us sort through the issues we’re dealing with in our life, they can keep us alive, and they make the happiness we experience all the more rewarding. Balance with every emotion that’s part of the human experience is what’s overall important for long term health.

Well there is a metaphor like life with lemons
Benson is my favorite Cartoon Network character. Period.
3:11 Benson's part here broke me 💔
Adaptation to adjust to the new forms of joy 2:12
Joy is internal, Happiness is external.
And beyond that happiness can't last forever. In life your supposed to strive for peace and contentment imo

Videos like these are just, nice to think about life on, at times. Sometimes i just make a comment on videos like these knowing nobody will probably care, but to anyone that reads this:
If you're going through hard times, never stop going, never give up.

I'm still sick. some of these make sense but the one with the guy talking to morty makes literally no sense and has a piss poor argument. well, nihilism is a reoccuring theme in rick and morty, and it's not really meant to be glorified or adopted as your personal philosophy. rick's probably the most nihilistic person in the entire multiverse, and it usually makes him miserable. the people he cares about most always get hurt, and yet _not_ caring isn't the safe option either. every time he doesn't care, the people that care about _him_ most get hurt. his intelligence is his greatest strength and greatest weakness. he's accomplished so much with it, but he also thinks logic and science can never truly backfire on him or be taken from him, and it also offers an escape from the curse of being human.

mostly hungout with people during lunch. my classmates rarely left the classroom for it, so i had another group who i was pretty close with (not close enough), and another when that group wasnt present. was friends with all of em, or well some more than others. when the main group got exams and eventually graduated, i was only told about farewells in a call, when they WERE leaving the country. a good friend from the other group was closer friends with someone else, who wasnt comfy joining them when i was around, so i was asked to not join them during lunch - only half the time she would be there, and i practically only hungout with em during lunch. had known someone from a 4th group, so i kinda joined them, but they were only girls so was on my final normal day told to please find someone else cuz girl talk feels off when a guy present. before that i was kinda friends with 2 others, so i hungout with them a little bit aswell.
this made me realise how easily replacable i and they were, given the right circumstance, since we were mostly just regular friends, or simply knew each other
I understand Brian. I almost pulled the trigger 4 years ago. Dreams are just hopes and my hope died when i realized I'm just not good enough to fulfill them. Something stopped me and I just saw my whole life flash before my eyes and I remembered them wrong. I only saw the failure and not the lessons. I only remember them as pain not a reminder. I only saw me losing and clung onto them and today I don't know why. My gift or skill was right there and I just kept missing it. So please, PLEASE! Look deeper within yourself and stop expecting others to look for you. Your all special, beautiful, handsome, attractive, smart and cool individuals. And always remember, Love yourself when nobody else will. Keep going, you're almost there💙💙💙
The Benson quote hit hard
Which of them?

Stellar @okletrollandrekt1757
Bro so deep we weren't even real friends anymore. No. ❤
It’s genuinely crazy how the movies and tv shows that have the deepest messages are always the comedy ones
Witg context, it doesnt feel right for rick to say that cause he was happily married.
@@dreadblock7592he learnt from mistakes
That's not love. That's called infatuation. There's a difference.
Sorry I disagree with Rick he may be smart but he has a 100% wrong about that
@@Nezkredk could you define love then cause as far as anyones concerned, it involves some infatuation to a persons qualities, there personality or looks or any other quality.
0:44 I remember hearing that when I was 14 and I still can't forget. It affected the way I see love
2:48 I am this voice
The first time I heard Oogways quote when I was a kid, I stared blankly at the screen for about 3 minutes trying to process it. I still resonate with that quote today. Spending your present days concerned with the past or future, is wasting the gift of life that passes by you every second.
Me: why i'm so depressed 😭?
The cartoons that i watch: 1:31
3:01 this is how I felt this year, because it happened to me. People seem to think just losing a job is no big deal sometimes, but if you live paycheck to paycheck, and have to stay in your place because everywhere else is too expensive to move to, and anyone who can or will help you is hundreds of miles away, this is a VERY real feeling
Remind me when it blows .
Benson hysterically talking to Moredcai and Rigby hits hard. The pain in his voice....
The last on hit hard... It is just too true...
2:37 too relatable.
Every time another scene is about to play makes you wanna hit pause n think but it’s a moment of reality just to be present in . Gods speed everyone
You can tell the writers desperately wanted to drop the mic with these quotes.
And they say cartoons aren't educational. Though jaded, but has sustinance.
Brian's words hit Me Hard 😢
Some wisdom for sure: happiness is temporary, and you’ll remember the evening conversation you had in a cafe long ago; and may life not be so short of it for you, day after day.
Favorite line from Jake: "Changing is our normal state. Even if we're not changing on the outside we're changing on the inside constantly. There's some stuff about me that l've been ignoring for a long time. I'm afraid of that stuff. But it's part of who I am. As long as I know the shape of my soul, I'll be alright."
*Yesterday was history tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift that is why it called a present*
Ah maybe I should quit and go back to making noodles
