OMG YES. I’d argue that the recent chapters improve this scene. It’s possible that Sanji is starting to change here, even if he hasn’t worn the raid suit yet. He’s spent his whole life without germa that even just seeing them could awaken his solider side. His fight with luffy wasn’t a facade; it was him showing his true nature, which makes it all the more heartbreaking

This arc was very emotional it was almost as good as enies lobby it's definitely my 3rd favorite arc When luffy said "No matter how many times you kick me, you're the one that gets hurt" i almost cried it hits as hard as " I want to live!"
When the person you considered your “father” doesn't care at all about you leaving his “family” and makes you feel like you're worthless; but then Luffy arrives, crossing sea and land, fighting the most feared beasts, almost tearing off his own arms, almost dying of hunger, just to get to you, and begging you to return to his crew, making you see how important you are to his FAMILY. and how valuable you are as a PERSON......
Sanji looks so pure when he smiles. Even though most of the time he flirts with every woman he sees. At first I did not liked him that much, but when I saw his story I was apologizing T-T I understood and loved him ⚘

For me, Whole Cake Island resonates harder than Enies Lobby, let me explain. Robin was a member of the crew for little time before her kidnapping by the CP9, but Sanji not only was part of the East Blue crew, but since the arc is post-timeskip they've been together longer... Enies Lobby was a proof of loyalty, you're my crewmate and I'd go wherever I must go to save you, but Whole Cake Island is not only that, it adds "without you I can't continue, I'd rather give up of you are not with me". That... That's strong.
A journey of life begins with misfortune but when you're able to hold it in. You will be gifted with smiles reaching the sun and moon and a life brighter then the sun and moon. A step of joy comes with a step of sorrow.
I remember when I saw that backstory, I was impressed of how it was revealed on 2 levels : First, we see Sanji as a kid who wanted to be in the Marines as a chef, but then… You learn the truth, and EVERYTHING he’s been through comes back and hits you even harder
This deserves more views, amazing job with the dialogue and the whole video! This arc was plot-wise interesting and important for Sanji's character growth. Keep up the good work :)!!!
This is also telling us that if every single crew had betrayed Luffy, he can’t be the king of the pirates since he has a pure heart to his crew. It’s heartbreaking 💔
