OMG YES. I’d argue that the recent chapters improve this scene. It’s possible that Sanji is starting to change here, even if he hasn’t worn the raid suit yet. He’s spent his whole life without germa that even just seeing them could awaken his solider side. His fight with luffy wasn’t a facade; it was him showing his true nature, which makes it all the more heartbreaking
when you realize that "good cook" by Luffy ain't only about cooking..
Luffy saying, “Without you I can’t become the King of the Pirates!” Is so sad because that’s Luffy saying that his real dream is to achieve his goal along with everyone else and he wants to help them achieve their goals as well. Without Sanji he can’t do that.
"No matter how many times you kick me, you're the one that gets hurt" Luffy might be dumb all the time but the understanding he has for each and every one of his crew is unfathomable.

I wonder how sanji felt, he had been taken in on that cooking ship and some random kid, a pirate decided on one look that "hey, this guy is who I want on my crew!" It's probably one of the first times someone has outright said to sanji that they want him to be in their group.

This arc was very emotional it was almost as good as enies lobby it's definitely my 3rd favorite arc
When luffy said "No matter how many times you kick me, you're the one that gets hurt" i almost cried it hits as hard as " I want to live!"
When the person you considered your “father” doesn't care at all about you leaving his “family” and makes you feel like you're worthless; but then Luffy arrives, crossing sea and land, fighting the most feared beasts, almost tearing off his own arms, almost dying of hunger, just to get to you, and begging you to return to his crew, making you see how important you are to his FAMILY. and how valuable you are as a PERSON......
Only thing missing in this video is when Luffy goes: "I'll be here waiting for you! If you don't come back, I'll be here starving to death!"

For me, Whole Cake Island resonates harder than Enies Lobby, let me explain.
Robin was a member of the crew for little time before her kidnapping by the CP9, but Sanji not only was part of the East Blue crew, but since the arc is post-timeskip they've been together longer...
Enies Lobby was a proof of loyalty, you're my crewmate and I'd go wherever I must go to save you, but Whole Cake Island is not only that, it adds "without you I can't continue, I'd rather give up of you are not with me". That... That's strong.
