I love the close ups on Cliff's right hand during, "Walk All Over You." He's constantly trying to turn his volume and treble up even though it's already up all the way. This happens with every guitarist I've ever played with. If they get an eighth of of a second to adjust during a song, they're gonna go for more ANYTHING.

lots watch Angus, everyone loves Bon, and lately (far too late if you ask me), people are loving Malcolm.
I came here to watch Let There Be Rock, and let me tell you all
CLIFF AND PHIL ARE THE STARS ON THAT ONE!
Of course they always are, and the whole band is pure power, every single time.
But I had to comment about those 2 because they truly are the best at their craft
    Love them!

My God the sound on this video is phenomenal!! A mere ten days after this show was recorded AC/DC played in my hometown of McAllen, TX on September 18, 1979. Unfortunately I was only 11 and hadn’t discovered rock music and AC/DC yet and even if I had I doubt I could have gone. (My older sister was into the Bee Gees at the time, lol). I finally saw AC/DC in San Antonio in 1986, Who Made Who Tour, which was awesome but oh what I would’ve given to have seen Bon (and Phil)!! Thank God this incredible video exists. Thanks for sharing!!!!

I think Bon said, "Shake A Leg", before Angus started the extended Rocker solo.
Also in many live recordings, he said, "Come on now, form a queue" during Bad Boy Boogie. And the word, "queue" is in a line of What Do You Do For Money Honey.

    • @Purpleskyshorizon
      @Purpleskyshorizon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I heard it! Definitely said "Shake a leg". Bon wrote many lyrics for Back In Black. Come on, their lyrics went straight down hill right after BIB. Very few good lyrics on For Those About to Rock and maybe a couple good ones on Flick of the Switch. The only problem with BIB was that Bon wasn't there to refine his lyrics as he always did as his vocals were being recorded. So they were changed here and there by the Youngs and Mutt Lange. Brian didn't write a single thing. If he did, he would still be writing their lyrics to this day. And I don't want to hear that "He developed writers block" crap from anyone. You don't write solid lyrics like the ones on BIB and then get progressively worse afterwards. That is the biggest BS story in the history of Rock music. They used Bon's words. If they didn't, those notebooks full of lyrics would have seen the light of day by now.

Mal and Angus probably took words and stuff Bon said and put it into the album. Mal, Angus, Mutt, and few others did help with the lyrics too. It wasn't just Brian. I don't think Bon wrote stuff on the Back In Black album.

They were booed offstage the previous year at Selland Arena while opening for Aerosmith .
Nobody knew who they were because they didn't get any airplay. Also, Fresno wasn't keen on the Angus strip routine, and hanging a "b.a." to the crowd is usually considered an insult in most cultures.
But yep, I have shared the story many times over the years. Booed off stage, then headline and sell out the next year. That's the power of media in people

do you see why it's painful to watch Axel Rose singing in a wheelchair and half the band not there? Angus... retire the band because once Mal died that's it.

This is the real AC/DC, before they murdered Bon Scott and turned them into a pop music band for managers and producers to make millions from.. They were the best damned rockin band there will ever be back then.

In what way did they turn into a pop band? They've always been as a hard rock band with brian or bon

They are still a hard rock band, but there music hasn't been good with Brian Johnson. With the exception of Back in Black.

I saw them about a month and a half before this, at Day on the Green in Oakland with Aerosmith, Ted Nugent and Mahogany Rush. That was during the day in a baseball stadium though. This show in an intimate theatre under the lights would have been much better.
