- Live set by melbourne ACDC tribute band "Whole Lotta Rosie" this is hands down one of the best ACDC tribute bands in the world! lead singer Cynthia Gallie absolutely nails the high energy ACDC vocals, Rohan Moran plays lead guitar just as good as the real deal Angus Young! the drummer Greg Aldridge and the rest of the band is very tight and has that same ACDC solid foundation! if your an ACDC fan then you will love this live set played at musicland in melbourne this was a live streamed free concert during the covid lockdowns so you can still enjoy some rock and roll from the comfort of your own home!

I’ve never seen a female singer capture Bon’s grit and charm like this girl….she sounds great and just a bit dangerous…..and out the front of a real kick arse pub rock band of talented musicians to boot!
Halestorm did a version of Shoot To Thrill, amazing voice but they screwed the guitar up

If anything, the rhythm guitar is played a little "limp-wristed" (using this expression quite litterally). Although the timing seems about fine you can just hear that the strings are just not suffering enough. 😉Also it surely would help to use a guitar with a fatter tonality. I rarely use my old Gretsch as it's a PITA to play but maybe try a LesPaul Junior with a high output P90 or something (or maybe even the original PUs that Malcolm used). Also I heard that the newer Korean made Gretschs are pretty nice in both sound and playability.
In every other respect this is a close to 100% cover. Special props to the drummer. Goes to show that playing with the same kind of movements helps to imitate Phil Rudds rather incomparable sound which manages to be that teenie-weenie bit lagging (which makes it so damn groovy) and driving (hitting hard with a perfect steadiness) at the same time.
And finally - like thousands of men and porobably women before me - I really REALLY want to marry that singer. She's just plain gorgeous in absolutely every respect. 😍

yes i get what your saying but the rhythm guitarist for this gig is filling in hes not the usual rhythm guitarist hence why the tone is a little off and a little too much gain to be honest but they had to get him in for the night, usually its danny on rhythm guitar and danny plays a gretsch the same one as mals which i have played dannys guitar myself before it really is the real deal beautiful guitar it has that nice thick fat filtertron sound, the band when its the proper lineup has the most authentic acdc sound and stage presence ive heard apart from acdc of course which i was lucky enough to see acdc play twice, thanks for the comment glad you enjoyed the video, and i think the line is a long one to marry cynthia but you never know your luck mate \m/

couldnt agree more mate they are about the best ive seen as authentic to the acdc sound and the stage presence as the real deal, ive seen alot of tribute bands and none of them come close but whole lotta rosie they have got it mate

We've seen at least 4 "tribute bands" who are all fairly talented. However it feels at times that they are a little too concerned with their look vs being true to Angus and the boys!!!

Fantastic! This just popped up on YT feed. Well worth the watch. Really tight and the sound is the same as the originals! Cynthia is absolutely phenomenal on the vocals. Probably only a lady could sing these numbers in the original keys once a guy is past that certain age! Fabulous musicianship and I didn't actually know that Ross Kemp could play Bass ! the lead guitarist is rohan moran a mate of mine i bought my gibson SG from him, he is one of the best players ive seen he knows his way around a SG mate the one i bought from him was set up by him and its the best guitar ive ever played, as for the reseblance to stevie young yeah i can see it a bit too mate and im sure he would take that as a compliment, thanks for the comment glad you enjoyed the video \m/

Glad I clicked on this very rare you see an AC/DC tribute with a woman. We got a few ? Like the Helles Belles I like them and ThundHERstruck but these people I can’t say nothing bad about.🤘 I grew up on AC/DC in South Carolina a fellow AC/DC lady fan!🤘🤘

They absolutely kicked arse at the recent Weekend With Hooks Festival in Maryborough Vic. Band of the Festival. Hope they are booked in for the Mad Max 45th Anniversary next year ?

Up to my neck in you. First heard it in a record store in 1979 and bought powerage on the spot. 43 years of acdc.Great band. Superb singer.
one of my favourite albums is powerage, the guitars on that album have a different tone that really stands out thanks to the schaffer vega wireless that angus was using, glad you enjoyed the video \m/
rohan does not use the schaffer replica pedal for his tone in this band, he uses the old school acdc tone thats a 1991 Sg standard and the amps he uses are original old plexi heads he has 2 one 100watt and a 50watt, his tone is the same as acdc used on the early first albums like high voltage, really great tone!

that is true, alot of people think acdc is just 4 chords and "easy" to play, but to play it the proper way its not easy at all its quite hard, and to capture the stage energy is not easy either bon scott was the the best rock n roll front man, brian johnson was pretty good too, i reckon cynthia is on of the best front woman ive seen \m/

i was lucky enough to see malcom play at the black ice tour in melbourne, and saw acdc play again at the rock or bust tour and that was with stevie playing, both concerts were great but i gotta say the black ice tour was my fav of the two with malcom playing

Hi Kyle, considering we were not allowed even out of our house during this time and Hadn't been for months, there was no time to rehurse at like 1 days notice, as well as a fill in guitarist in this clip, I feel it is pretty good, it's cold and very live, no time for retakes here.

there was a small audience, but this was during covid lockdown restrictions so only about 20 people could attend, restrictions are no longer in place they are back to performing in front of a full crowd now 🙂
