🤯! I have been fraught over my life purpose, my direction for most of my life. Even as children we're asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I would always make something up and had no idea. I am almost 40 now and was losing my mind trying to find meaning to everything and feeling utterly and completely lost. I have a lot of drive when I have goals but this made everything finally click. Our "purpose" is to live life, enjoy ourselves, follow things we feel passionate about, listen to our gut when it tells us to go after something instead of letting our minds, and our fears dictate how we should live our lives. When we follow our passions, life begins to unfold in ways we could have never planned for. In that regard, there is no direction because it is always changing. And as for my drive when I have a goal? I'm now using that drive to dive into things I'm interested in and passionate about💗 Thank you so much for this 🙏
OMG! This is an a-ha moment for me! There are experts who always talk about the directions in life and you are the only one who addresses the opposite. I belong to the category of "directionless" and I keep asking myself what should I be doing? I am going to give this a try and just be in the present sensations. You just validated that it's ok to be without direction. Thank you so much!
you have cured my anxiety thank you so much. I was going through depression from a relation ship that ended very fast and I didn't see it coming( out of the blue) and I was unintentionally trying to escape it by worrying about if my future was gonna be better or how my past was which gave me panic attacks. This put my life in a prospective that I can deal with life one step at a time and that I am not a fortune teller lol. best of wishes thank you wise youtuber.
thank you Henri for sharing with us. When you said 'live in the present moment' tears welled up in my eyes and my heart ached as I recalled that long ago after suffering a similar experience to yours I came out of it with the same conviction that life is a moment to moment energy without past or future . All that is important is to be very aware and alive in the present moment and then the mind empties of all that constant unimportant chatter. Over the decades I have lost sight of this light and have once again found myself in a dark place ...like a ship adrift in a vast ocean. Finding your video today has shone a light into that darkness and lifted my spirit ..thank you .
Thanks Henri. U r just an enlightened being. Every words of yours touched my heart. Now I have started liking my confusion. After watching ur video I took a deep breath of acceptance of what I am right now.
Same here, I had the worst depression and I felt "oh Boy, u need an end to ur misery" but then I couldn't do it, I kept thinking of what could I miss, atleast my psychologist sees me despite my toxic family and the confusion. Btw , I'm relaxing thanx bro Henri
I love your view on life. It truly resonates with me. I want you to ask something that I could not figure out for myself: when I pay attention to what is interesting to me right in the moment I always want to write. And sometimes I do. But even if it felt very good while doing it, afterwards my mind doesn't want me to do it again: it throws bad feelings and an attitude like "nah, you don't wanna do it again, it is so much work! Better be lazy and comfortable" at me. I don't know why, because I always enjoy writing. Most of the time I fell into this wonderful flow state, where my sense of self gets lost. So, why does my mind think of writing as hard work to do? Why does it stands in my way? Do you think I have to let my mind do its thing and I force myself to do it? Or should I listen to my mind. Maybe it is right and writing is not something I truely enjoy. I don't know which voice in my head I should listen to. It is very confusing. Hope for your answer, Henri. Thank you for your very helpful videos.
Writing is hard for me, too. Anything where you're learning and pushing yourself is hard, and the body and brain would much rather just be comfortable. Your mind will come up with reasons to not do anything even remotely scary. This is why I talk about focusing on taking tiny steps. Instead of thinking about writing, and how it's hard, focus on writing one crappy paragraph. But in the end, the mind will complain. The more you take tiny steps anyway, the more you'll begin to ignore the mind, and listen more to what your body feels drawn to do (on a deeper level). Hope this helps!
Henri: "The first thing to pay attention to..." Me: "is that beautiful photo painting behind you...!" It's amazing... living in the moment :) You were the first one to teach me this... I have been becoming better at it... Thank you Henri for your insights. Hope we can meet in person someday
Some really good advice given here but also took a sharp turn n its when u say u dont think about the future or make any plans whatsoever which I'm sure u dont even believe..its good to have goals, its good for a person to have direction In life n for the main reason to actually financially physically be able to make a living in life n support themselves rather than depending on others to carry their load...so its good to have a some sort of direction in life,to have a destination that u want to get to,its only wise to prepare..what u say is almost like a poor excuse for being a lazy individual with no job n no direction in life n should be completely content with the fact they they've become nothing more or nothing less than ole slugger..God created people for a purpose,He has created everything for His glory which means there's actually a valid reason why every single person to ever be born was designed n made for the glory of God,even God had a vision of humanity, even He has a plan for our lives n it's when our plans or direction in life is in line with His will and it's to live a life that glorifies Him in everything we do..therefore we are to be mindful of our words, mindful of our actions n constantly adjusting them by making wiser n better decisions in life. The generation of the brain dead n lazy is what this is.People need to take responsibility for their actions, understand that actions bring consequences whether they be good or bad every single time.Sure we dont know the future but we do know we been created for a purpose, its our job to find out and do what God has intended us to do from the very beginning. Its in Gods word.God also saids to not boast of tomorrow because u dont know what tomorrow will bring only God does however he doesnt say dont plan on doing anything tomorrow,he saids dont boast about it cuz He might have something else in mind..so like I said some of the stuff u said was very wise but some very unwise n not biblical by any means which I dont think it was intended to be..more of mens wisdom rather than Gods, which is real true wisdom.anyway, peace
This comes off very strong. If God has a plan for everyone, which I believe he does, shouldn't we as humans spend less time worrying and more time trusting him? We don't know how God is going to reveal himself, so if we learn to go with the flow, he will most certainly open doors for us. It seems like you and this guy are saying the same thing. Different verbiage, but the bottom line is, stop trying to control everything and learn to go with the flow. Going with the flow doesn't mean that you don't have a job or that you're lazy. It means your acknowledging your position in life and keeping it moving. Subtle shifts happen over time. Even Christians say, "be present" "be still with the Lord" "Lean not unto your own understanding" "find comfort in his word" "learn from your past, but don't let it dictate your future" "it's not how you start, but how you finish." So basically, everybody is saying, " calm down, take a breath, live in the present. It will all figure itself out." Go with God or go with the Universe, whatever floats your boat. But don't beat yourself up on false expectations that you've created for yourself.

Feel the moment. Having a purpose could be shackles or comfort, it's all about how you perceive things. Enjoy the journey.

Thank You. Very insightful video.
Great advice.
Could you speak on handling people who are in your life and exploiting you always
I usually eliminate those people from my life. Is there something preventing you from doing that?
