    I just entered my first tournament. I started playing GC a few months ago and have used Tommy's videos. They helped tremendously. So, I downloaded the new Notebook app and linked to Tommy's guide for each hole. I then watched his video before each hole I played. Not only did I qualify, but I qualified all the way into the Weekend Round-- and Tommy's videos allowed me to finish the Weekend Round with a -19! I couldn't have done it without Tommy's great help. Thanks, Tommy.

      Congrats on a great tourney. Mine went OK....the UK was my first one and I finished 18th overall. I still need to learn to play better in the wind...watching your approached has helped. I am finding my club/ball selections based on what I currently have sometimes are VERY limiting. I am also too much of a risk taker with my coins....manages to blow pretty much all of the 500K and now I have to start from nearly nothing. STUPID! :-)

      @GolfClashTommy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @shanimal1589
      @shanimal1589 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Better! Im on the right trajectory now.....just need time...and coins...and jewels! LOL! Seriously though, I corrected a few significant mistakes I have made along the way and things are going much better. I still have to suppress my risky side and stop playing bigger money games before I have the 10x+ funds. I have discovered something interesting tho: As a Rookie 1 I was able to get all the way to a 1050 with about a 1.1 million coins....but, I found out that because my clubs are so underrated, that when the game puts me against other players with similar ranking, I get beaten badly because they are often ranked as mid-level pro's or even experts and their clubs are several tours better than mine. Because of this every shot I hit has to be perfect and stretched to the limit to try and keep up. It seems that basically I will have to wait for my promotions to catch up to my gameplay. Frustrating because I am now losing a lot, and as such my coin total is dropping quickly.

    I totally agree with play it safe you see so many people hitting overpowered shots for no reason and ending up in a bad spot. However I think you could of also added 'taking risks' for certain scenarios. For example on some par 4's you may aswel go for broke trying to reach the green in one when you know you can easily get there in two anyway if you screw up and hit a bunker etc.

    • @GolfClashTommy

    Hey Tommy - just discovered your channel and it's amazing. I have a question on adjusting for wind. I understand that you are adjusting for the shot first as if there is no wind. You then adjust so that the arrow is pointing up or down and adjust from there. Could you explain a little more in detail what you are doing there? Sorry, I'm just dumb - and I'm not a great player. :) Thanks again for the channel and tips!

    • @GolfClashTommy
      @GolfClashTommy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man! Dont apologize, there is no stupid questions :). You are correct. First I line up as I have 0 in wind. The reason to why I change the view to my arrow to point north or south is because it lets me adjust with a straight line which means that I in many time at least will hit it around the spot that Im aiming for.
      i hope you understand? :).
      Thanks again for your comment!

I especially enjoyed your tip about the wind, and how to adjust for it, as well as the coin management!! Thank you for taking the time to help us rookies. Golf Clash Tommy, when I first opened your video I thought that it was frozen because it seems to be "stuck" on your intro screen. I actually exited out of 2 of your other videos, thinking that there was an error with the site or video. I also noticed a few points being repeated, so with proper editing it would be around 10 mins. I am sorry, I don't mean to sound like I do not appreciate your video. It was simply a few things that I noticed that would help improve the quality, and number of views. Thank you also for taking the time to respond to my comment.

    great tips. I happily(surprisingly) actually discovered them through trial and error myself... wish I found these vids sooner though.... I feel I have a good handle on regular play... My latest tests have been about trying to master the "hook" shots and trying to learn how the colors (while shooting) coincided with the rings (while lining up a shot). Is there a way to tell where exactly to release the ball by lining up your curser/ rings in the proper spot?. another thing that should maybe be mentioned as a tip is being aware of the bumps and terrain that may mess up your shot drastically (even when your only off by millimeters). Lastly, where do you find the club wind chart?. thanks.

    • @GolfClashTommy
      @GolfClashTommy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The curl is hard to master and I dont currently hold any numbers for that :/. The club chart you can find in any of the FB groups or on my club guide here on TH-cam :)

    • @mackjones7108
      @mackjones7108 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Golf Clash Tommy , appreciate the response... I found the chart.👍. yes, there's many variables to take into consideration while figuring out the numbers for hook shots. ( course bulls eye, shot bulls eye, shot color fan , strength, angle, wind chart ).... I've progressed a bit, but having fluctuating winds makes the other variables tough to pin point... it will take some time...thanks alot

    6:27 Tommy, when you adjust for the wind and it goes beyond the length of the club (like you did then) when you stretch the target to your desired spot and let so of it will it still move it to where you want but just within the clubs range? This may be confusing for you to understand, please let me know if you need clarification.

    Thank you tommy for all the time and effort you put forth in the making of these videos. They have helped me progress to upper levels. It has taken a while to upgrade clubs to compete in them. That being said, my question is a golfer ahead of me in the weekly tourney? (Pro3) has over 2 mil. their stats are just 300+ games, 0 hi1s, 0 dbl. eagles. Is it possible to reset stats and keep all the upgraded clubs. Or did they just spend hundreds of $$$ on gems and coins to buy them? ( which doesn't make sense) thanks in advance.

    It took almost a month to get the extra mile. Had to stay in tour 2.

    How do you know exactly how much you need to adjust for the wind? You mentioned counting the rings? How does that work? Is there a correlation to the green grid too?

    • @GolfClashTommy
      @GolfClashTommy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can never know exactly to 100%. Then it would be to easy. Check out my video "Wind guide 1.0 - Using the rings". Doing that video together with another awesome player :)

      Golf Clash Tommy I checked that one out and tried using the rings, but the closer I was to the green, it seemed that I was over adjusting. Is there a ring guide that compensates for distance?

    Even if one use that wind adjustment technique, how does one work out how far to adjust up or down?

    • @gedsoft3793
      @gedsoft3793 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What makes Golf Clash better than other apps I've tried is that there is a formula - but no, you don't need to calculate while you play! It's based on the accuracy of the club. For a 0 accuracy club, each ring = 3 mph of wind; for 100 accuracy, each ring = 1 mph. I keep a spreadsheet with the clubs I use, and the mph for 1 to 5 rings. It becomes easiest when you can level clubs up to 100 accuracy, obviously (e.g. 3.7 mph wind needs 3.7 rings).
      There is a lot of info at golfclashnotebook.io/wind/ .

    So I've been doing these techniques for a few weeks now and I'm a consistent player, and since I've used the things I've won so many more games and I've earned more coins than I ever have before. This stuff really works trust me it seems slow at first but it works out.

    I don’t understand wind adjustment. How does spinning the screen around alter the wind direction?? Please explain.

    • @olliej079
      @olliej079 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tom Bartlett wind direction doesn’t change just your perspective does. You can aim up your shots accounting wind better doing this.

    I am confused regarding how a club accuracy rating impacts the value of a ring. For example, for a club with a 100% accuracy rating the value of a ring is about 1 yard. For a club with an accuracy rating of 50%, the value of a ring is 2 yards. So if you are adjusting for a 5 mph cross wind, it is my understanding that you would need to move 2-1/2 rings for the 50% accuracy club and 5 rings for the 100% accuracy club. This seems counter intuitive. It seems that for a more accurate club, you would need to move less than with a lower accuracy club. Am I understanding the association between club accuracy and ring value correctly?

    Was wondering if I didn't get the memo on golf clash? I'm 1600 trophies expert and around 3,000 games..after my last update I've noticed that the shots have changed... No one uses backspin anymore and say wind is at your back of 3 mph they there guide is way past hole and stops right before hole? I've never seen that before and I'll take same shot with back spin and before hole and will go past? Can someone explain what changed?

    • @GolfClashTommy
      @GolfClashTommy  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      After the last update the possiblity to see what type of spin the opponent does has been taken away. I dont know if it will be back soon.
      Otherwise it should be the same. Do you have a concrete example?

    Hey guys I’m wondering if anyone knows an average score that is last place in an opening round of a rookie tournament. I know it will vary some but I am wondering if a score of -14 will hold up I had a really bad round and ended with that crappy score and would hate to not make the weekend! Please anyone I would like to know!
