I actually like playing in the pub. I have a spot where I can sit alone, and I've found a couple of beers relaxes my swing a bit. I know it sounds weird, but it works for me. Of course, after about 6 beers, I start to go shit. Kinda like pool. There is a window of zen.

I've been playing golf clash for the past 2 years and honestly it's one of the most addictive app games I've ever played. With that being said it's also one of the most frustrating games I've ever played as well.
I just try to play 'conservative' game
Don't take risky shots. Offset for wind. Be patient when releasing your shot (to get perfect shot) power up on your clubs whenever possible and choose 'well balanced' clubs. Seems to work.

Thanks Tommy! These tips definitely helped me. I was consistently finishing like somewhere in the middle of tournaments i think 30th was the highest i ever finished. But i just finished 2nd overall in the Winter Major and shot -25! I know that's probably not that great for a player of your calibur but for me that is the best I've ever done! So thank you so much for all your videos and tips they really help!
Hello I'm a very good player but I'd like to even better how do you decide to do for the best as you have tournament play checkpoint challenge and 1v1 and it's hard to manage these options when you only have 4 chest slots.
Maintain the ball in fairway for higher chances of winning
Use your gems to open chests early on and for balls later on. For me, I didn't start using special balls until tour 7 and I'm now in tour 8 and I'm just starting to use gems for balls.

I think you are absolutely right, when changing the strategy on spending gems from opening chests (earlier) and eventually buying club cards in the shop during the first 5 to 6 tours to then buying balls. I think you can save a lot of gems during the first tours, avoiding special balls where possible. You should try to get better with difficult shots instead of making gameplay easier with special balls.
Sure, you won't advance as fast but on the other hand, you will get the appropriate set of clubs for your level and thus aren't outplayed by opponents with much better clubs.
Between tour 5 and 7 most players start to stall on their clubs: they have their frequent ones on level 8+ and the rare or epic ones on level 4+. Then, there is no real point anymore in spending gems on clubs or chests because the advancement is still very slow and you already have a good set of clubs, so you don't have to spend gems to make it even better. At this point, the balls really make a difference, so you should use them.
Agreed... At the beginning: best to used gems sparingly as you will need them when you had a few bad runs as we do... to save your ass. But, use as little as required just to achieve that goal...
Best to go down a game.. to get your confidence back... Skill is much cheaper!
Use gifted special balls you receive springingly if you don't understand how to play with the normal ones..others will confuse and compound the problem.. Rethink..learn to play the course well, Learn to hit the ball correctly and constantly...
Leave the 'special balls' as an 'enhancement to an existing skill level' say, when your gameplay is winning 7 out of 10 games in, (My ave is 61% in Pro 3 'Gotcha')
I feel other balls are only needed above game 5, personally never use them below that, yet can beat higher ranking players who are using superduper balls yet can't hit the shot correctly. Or do not know the course very well... Or both.. Thus wasting those valuable balls!
Love it when I use normal ones and bang them ahead plus Win... Major confidence booster which encourages us all to play bigger games... Knowing your good... Esp, when others comment, ' You're Good' because... you pulled those difficult shots off... Using... a normal ball...!

I disagree about dunking. I watched a different video that recommended dunking as well, and I started doing it. At first they all went in, but then I started missing. When I asked the Playdemic team about it, I was told that the slope of the green, or the wind or whatever was affecting the ball from going in. I wound up losing several million coins I couldn't afford, instead of hitting it short and maxing the topspin, which is what I had been doing and since have gone back to. I find that I make a much higher percentage of chips using that method instead.

I haven't been playing as long as you guys but I have been about 1 month. I was going to comment and say the same thing you said Bill Shore but I saw your post and figured I would just add my two cents here! I have to agree with Bill for some reason it works better for me to Max my top spin on close shots and ship it to the hole rather then dunking. I am guessing that there will be some kind of reward for dunking rather then shipping it in with Max top spin the other thing with Max top spin I don't have to be perfect on my release and the majority of times the ball goes in the hole on great rather then perfect. Maybe it's just a fluke but this is what I have seen so far. And Tommy thanks for posting your videos!
Tommy, do you think you could do a video on curling? It's tough sometimes to judge how much curl is needed for a shot! Thanks and awesome video like always!

This game is just a scam, it doesn’t rank fairly and when you ask support they say it is. Lol I just stated, I have 65, beginner clubs and I get matched with a player that says 50 with 91% maxed out clubs. This has happened a few times already. How is that fair in any way???
Something that has helped me come back from my legendary losing streak is play it safe if you're unsure about where to go on a new course or tournament. Look for the red markers on the course they can give you a basic guide on what direction to go (this isn't true in every course). Last but not least watch all of Tommy's TH-cam videos he has helped me play smarter and I win more than I lose. Thanks Tommy

Thanks for the tips.. I'm a noobie ..Is there a practice mode to get the feel for the equipment and learn the courses? Or do you have to use in game credits and learn as you spend?
Get the Golf Clash Notebook and build your bags. It will give you the wind charts and help you with adjustments of your shots. It was a big help for me.
Also, watch Tommy’s videos. He has loads of great information. Good luck!

I have been playing Golf Clash for awhile. At first I wasn't really playing, not enough to learn it. I have been trying to get better and found this video first. Only thing I noticed was your coins and gems. Mod or bought?
So I have said this on other posts----------------------------I still Believe this game is RIGGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you play some1 and lets say I get 2.5 from the hole well the guy I am playing will get 2.4. If I get 4.2 he get 4.1 and so on. This happens like 97% of the time. Its sickening.no matter how I do they do better, I* CAN NOT WIN NO MATTER WHAT. Pay to win! A player has 34 million coins 234 games played and 160 wins. And this player takes 1st place in weekly. Not pay to win says playdemic, says checked player and says all legit. HA-HA yeah okay! They refuse to provide a general scoring game guide listing the maximum payouts for each tour etc. Why? Because that will expose their pay to win game to be just that!
What secrets do you keep talking about you haven't told us one Secret everything you told us we know from day one of playing this game. I thought this was going to be a tutorial on how to use the wind guide in other words how far to move over to adjust for the wind. Now that would be a secret. I've watched several other videos from other people and they are super confusing on how to use the circles to adjust for the wind there has to be an easy way please help

Tip # 6: Start your own TH-cam channel and get a large following, so you can afford to pay for all the balls Tommy has in his bag. This is a great game, but 100% designed to get you to spend money and only suckers do that.
Doesn't matter how good you are in this game, it's only if you have good clubs that you stand a better chance of winning a game.
The match pairing is unfair 90% of time. So this video is for people with EM 6 or higher.

It is hard to learn a course when you just get on it. Is there a guide of which balls or clubs you recommend? I know you said depending on the hole.
The games rigged af. As I've got to Asia Pacific all of a sudden the accuracy of there the all tells you it's going to land is well off, it wasn't like hat before, I was up to 4000 coins and now down to 30, their attempt to make me buy stupid chests to carry on playing.

Mate these tips are shite. It's common sense to aim in the Centre. Most players decide to not dunk because the wind is unbelievable on 20m game. And get in comfort zone hahaha that's mad because you don't see people walking round the shops playing!

Thanks for the many tips; But I can’t find anyone that shows how some people hide their shot... they do something that focuses your screen away from their aiming reticle... Id like to use this (only) when going first in shootouts. Can you PLEASE do a video showing how this is done? Nobody’s done one yet!! Thanks!

I think that has to do with the fact that some people play from a PC while you may be playing on your phone. PC will obviously have a larger screen than your phone, hence the reason why you may not see their setup shot because of the way they moving it on their screen.

Hey Tommy, love your videos and amazing tips! I'd like to add a tip to "Get in the zone." I always play best when my phone is placed on a hard surface, like a desk or kitchen table. Playing from a hard surface allows for the most consistent and predictable release for the perfect shot.

I work to "steady" my accuracy from tablet or phone as well. Playing thru Facebook Gameroom with a mouse works the best for me. Full screen (almost) on a decent monitor or TV is a great visual. PC ftw. ;)
I don't know why but I don't adjust my landing spot on on the ground for wind I use point and use the swing motion to adjust to compensate for the wind 🤣

Hi tommy ive recently got promoted to expert...im having terrible trouble with the shootouts.. when im lining up my shots i make sure i have the ball landing exactly how i want it to land... then i adjust for the wind and my club changes eg from goliath to bigdog !! Then i end up making a balls of the shot... please any advice.. thanks in advance
kilmuckridge100 hello my friend in that situation I would go with the club that is more accurate even if you have to put a bit of top spin on the ball to get near the hole or you could overpower your shot instead :)

When you just aren't feeling it don't play. I always play my best if I am not hesitant. I hurry to decide which way I want to go,and then adjust according to my knowledge.
I also play well when i don't put pressure to win,but just play the course 1 shot at a time and have fun is key.
What tour is best for cheast when you star playing ?
Great vid Tommy, and you have many, as well as the best guides for tourneys. A key word I caught in tip 2, is " learn". It's not luck. I find myself now watching self help vids on TH-cam 50% of the time, and then practicing new knowledge playing the other 50%. As i have 2 accounts, the most economical way to do this practice is play one account vs. the other, in friendly match option us8ng white balls. Endbringer schools and short game, power hooks and slices from tee etc. Studying shots from one's own saved files ( the TV button bottom left, then right tab ' your hub') can help one pinpoint mistakes making. It's a game of accuracy and consistency, not luck.

Tommy, Thanks for the tips. I Hope You Answer This...A few questions...how can I get my clubs upgraded faster? I hardly ever get points to upgrade my good clubs but I get a ton of points for clubs like the "ROCKET" and other lame clubs. Also I play all the time mainly Tour 7 and that's the tour that says will unlock "THE CATACLYSM" I'm up to 4000 games and 500 of them are Tour 7...no CATACLYSM found yet. One last thing, how in the world did you get that many PACKS of Balls? All different packs, couldn't just be from Diamonds. How can I get the BERSERKER? I have saved up 30,000 Diamonds, my friends say I horde them.
Tips from a fool that choked and wasted a berserker ball
Do you not recommend buying club cards with gems? For example I’ve been able to level up Thor to level 6 by buying club cards with gems. It is very expensive this way but have been able to level up quicker this way. What are your thoughts on this strategy?

Thanks for the video. I agree with you on everything but the dunking. I find that doing it that way you run the risk of bouncing off the pin.

Disagree about the dunking. Chip and roll off the fringe I can hit it just great and it still goes in. Not so with dunking.
