Unifi is a great option. I like Mikrotik more but Unifi works really well for wireless.

Ive been using the TP-LINK PX50s and I would say they're heavily underrated for the price. They combine powerline and mesh wifi and can seemlessly swap my connection whilst provided amazing speeds. I recieve around 600-700mbps (wired) two floors up with my provider supplying 900 down.

The only terrible things about Unifi (from a long-term user) are these:
1. Usage stats in the dashboard are accurate in the first 24-36 hours, but then they will start becoming wildly inaccurate.
2. If your home has a power outage, a lot of your settings will be lost / corrupted to the point restoration is not guaranteed to work.
3. Unifi relies on a lot of outdated repos, and does not publish any firewall efficacy details.
Place is shaping up nicely,that tv is sick. I think the rug might be too small or try turning it longer side parallel to sofa. Right now it sorta just makes it look like stuff is floating in the middle of room

Very good review, but UniFi and WiFi 7 and getting these speeds on 1Gbps, there is something worng with the setup ,,,, as I'm on WiFi 6 and getting an average 600-700 Mbps ,,, check your WiFi access point 5Ghz band width and change it to 160 (not sure if there is higher on Wifi 7) and you will see the difference.

Why not just get a switch and connect routers as extenders to the main router? Could have said tons of money.
You don’t need to have the Etisalat router. Having that adds unnecessary overhead and you will do double NAT. I’ll suggest to remove the Etisalat router. I am also using Unifi Dream Machine without the etisalat router

Hi Oliur, your wifi speed will always be limited by your wireless device (probably WiFi 6 in this case). If you hardwire your Mac via Ethernet adapter you should get your full 1gb speed. Can I ask whereabouts in Dubai you live? The villa looks great and I’m contemplating moving to the UAE from the UK myself.
I am still using the same but wirelessly, the main mesh that is connected (wired) to the router is a higher TP Link model

absolute overkill...this could be easily fixed with a properly placed mesh system, and that to just to get around 300Mbps over wifi!

I setup the Deco M4 system at my house and found it works up to 500mbps UNLESS you had any device set as a priority in the app. This then limited all other devices to 100mbps. I wonder if you had this issue?

As a network engineer, I gotta say that this is an overkill solution, you could have got the Ubiquiti AmpliFi Alien mesh system for around 420 €

Unifi is great I have seen tests and different reviews for their products but it $$$ a lot. you can still find the same speed and items with other products that do the same. It just depends whats your dudget.
Love the Serif. Game changing TV if you have a bright apartment, and so much less fatiguing on the eyes.
