2023 viewer here, I am so grateful for this excellently put together two year old tutorial 🙂 Mine's a bit odd as I needed to change the toilet seat with hidden fittings, however these were bolted out of sight under the seat (not the common pop up out type. I honestly had no idea where to start till I saw your installation and realised how it all came together. Thank you once again 🤟
I am really happy i could help, and when i receive this type of messages i realise that all this time, videoing , editing , uploding, etc. it's not been wasted. Thank you again for your support.
Thank you very much for this step by step unhurried guide! Now I know how to get to replace the inlet and outlet units in my cistern! First class tutorial, I am a tradie but not in plumbing. God bless you bud for sharing your expertise in such a thoughtful and well mannered way! 😃
Thanks so much for doing this video - I fitted one of these before and now have another to do - learned some new tricks from you - many thanks and all the best👍
@@How2Extreme honestly it was really well done, I'll be fitting one of these in the morning and you've answered all my questions and given great advice about checking for leaks before you slide it back! Keep up the good work 💪
Thank you so much for this video. I have an old rear discharge toilet in a new place that needs to be replaced and this was extremely helpful in understanding what to look for and how it is done.
Great video and clear explanations. I'm always worried about this kind of toilet. As you said, any drips and leaks, you won't know about it until it's too late. I think I prefer not to have anything concealed like bath taps and showers for that reason. Oldschool I know but I've had lots of problems before
We are on the same page here .Nothing it's build to last sooner or later somthing is going to go wrong and if you can see it you can repair it. Thanks for the msg
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I am hoping to fit one of these myself in the next few weeks. This has been very helpful. Thank you again!
Thanks for this. Very good guide! I needed this since I have a back-to-wall toilet which needs a new siphon valve. Couldn't see how to make this change without seeing how this kind of toilet is installed. All makes good sense now though still not looking forward to making the change!
How did changing the toilet valve go? I have to do ours today - and what would be a 10 minute job on a normal toilet looks like it will take hours of messing around.
good video but I believe you can make much better if you planned a bit ahead. An example is: before you install the waste pipe you could mark and put the brackets for the basin. this is just an eg. Keep up the good work because you know what you doing and above all you are a gentleman. Great work. cheers and good luck for your channel mate.
Kudos for a clear instructional video. I have a very similar toilet half installed, but was unsure about the 2 bolts holding the cistern to the pan, I can't believe they designed it with just plastic bolts, especially as the cistern is not bolted to the wall. Anyways, I can now go and finish it before wifey gets home.
Hello , I would like to say thank you so much for your video it has help me a lot , Also I really like the decor you have chosen, looks great . Great channel! regards Rob.
Excellent video, thank you for posting. One question if I may. How do you Isolate the cistern water supply for routine maintenance like changing the flush rubber gasket? Does it mean you need to remove the throne each time, thereby risking creating a pan collar gasket leak. 😁. Cheers from Michael. Australia.
Hi. Yes the toilet needs to go out to do that type of maintenance. The main water supply can be closed if somthing bad happens. My clients usually don't want to see any pipes on the wall's, that's way it's all hidden behind.thanks for your message
Hi, thanks for the good informative video! I have a similar unit and it is a bit loose when you sit on it and I have tried tightening up the screws on the floor bracket but it still not quite as rigid as it should be! The cistern isn't attached to the back wall and there are no screw holes to fix it to the wall so I was wondering what is the best way to fix it to the wall? thanks
It's not necessary. It's just that sometimes the services are not perfectly flat and its bette not to take chances. If we get a leak, everything needs to be dismantled
Good video. I prefer to use the 'back to wall' flexible pan connectors which are clamped to the pan spigot using a jubilee clip. That way you don't have to worry about leaks, or about the connector popping off if you're pulling the thing in and out.
I have a same cistern and water inlet is located inside cistern on the top left, I wish to install bidet but found very difficult to route a hose out of the cistern can you help?
Thanks for your time to do this informative video. I hate back to wall toilets simply because flex pipes are bound to fail at some point in their lifetime and if concealed then that's trouble. They are also a pain to install. But anyway that's my opinion and an option between aesthetics and practicality. Question please : Pre-fitting, I noted that the toilet had a slight floor wobble. Did the floor wobble resolve once you tightened the toilet to the floor brackets ? Thanks once again.
Hi can I ask what those 2 extra holes on the sides are for, the ones you blocked with white plug, not the holes near the base wear you screw to the floor
@@How2Extreme Hey I recognise you. On the street where you live there’s a house where EWI currently being installed. That’s my house and my own project.

Excellent shooting and nicely explained, what are the two big holes that you covered them with clip lids at last? are they for Bidet water supply?
Hi the water supply pipe can go through those hole's instead i made it to go from the floor gist to hide the pipes
Can the tap be on the outside of the toilet base? Fed In through the side holes? That way If any leaks can turn tap off easily?
Yes. That's why that hole is there

If you referring at the flexible pan conector yes.i never had problems with them and you don't need to use any silicon
When u put bolt through cistern before attaching to pan u should be putting a back nut on both bolts then through cistern and then two wing nuts
Hi.I used everything that is coming in the box with it and I had a look at the instruction manual before starting. I've done everything by the bock
Thanks
Thank you very much 😊
Why Silicone on the cistern when it fills with water statight after surely its unable to dry ?
That's is just to fill any void the rubber by itself is going to do the job
Where is the isolator for the toilet?
Next to the waste pipe
You can use a water alarms in toilets like that just in case they leak

Flexi always goes on first before fixing
