    I am literally fitting one of these this week and your video was invaluable. I will let you know how I get on as I am vanity virgin! Unlike yours the wash basin is separate from the WC and I had to do a lot of customisation to the carcass to overcome the issue of the WC waste running on the inside right where the cabinet needs go. What a pain in the arse!

    Once again excellent advice from someone who actually knows what they are doing, we have one of these built in units, I look at the toilet seat and wonder how we can change it as we cannot get to the fittings ?
    Do we need to pull out the complete pan to get access, as the fitting holding the seat is not accessible?
    Well done excellent presentation.

    Great video! Can the waste pipe typically go to the left, through the wash basin unit if the main waste pipe for the building is where the bath taps are on your video? Looking to buy a unit like this. Only the WC unit part is thinner. Not sure if they all assume waste and water are directly behind\down.

  • @richwilliam3378
    @richwilliam3378 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the video. I've got one of these blighters to fit in about a week and I've never done it before and this is the best "how to" I've found so far. The multiquick looks good, but the toilet I took out was a ceramic job from around 1960 and the waste was a ceramic pipe which is still projecting a couple of inches - un-broken, I might add, though possibly with a bit of filler-like sealant around it - into the room. Will the multiquick fit into it without any sealant? Somewhat to my surprise, I didn't see you use any sealant on the flush or the waste pipe. Is that how it's done? And do they seal well?
    Best wishes,
    Rich.

    i fitted the same as what your doing here, and how you got the flush pipe to stay in the pan i dont know, i battled with a leak on it for ages, it just wouldnt stay in the back of the pan you push it in and after a few seconds it just pops out, i tried fairy etc and it just wasnt having any of it, in the end i used a stanley to trim the rubber rings down slightly and put about 3 tubes of silicone on the back end lol touch wood 3 years on and it hasnt leaked but still waiting for the day cause it just wasnt staying in, so if you have a tip you can reply with for my next one id be super grateful :p

    Once you fix the worktop in place and tile the wall down to it. How do you remove the flush valve to replace a leaking seal? I have this problem now. I can disconnect the flush valve but there is no space to lift it up and out of the cistern because the worktop is like yours and fixed about 2" above the cistern.

    How about a video on a proper back to wall toilet. They can be a swine to do especially when the pan as that bar at the back and drain comes though the floor!

    Don't think I've ever seen such a cluttered workspace. Couldn't cope working in that lot.

    God damn it.....Excellent video but It looks like I have a big job on to tighten up the encapsulated nuts which have come loose on my loo seat.
    It looks as though I have to remove my sink so that I can remove the work top to get access to it all.
    Bugga !

    When was asbestos banned in bake light toilet cisterns? Would the 1995 one contain asbestos?

      Not usually. Anytime after 1980 and it starts to go down big time.
