Why are Indian men LIKE THIS?

  • While on a walk at the beach or on the way to work, we see men holding hands all the time. This happens all around us and hence is not something that peaks our attention. But when Vincent Dolman, a British photographer noticed this on his trip to India, he found it to be very interesting and started documenting the same. It was something very alien to him and where he was from. So it begs the question, why do Indian Men hold hands and why is it not a universal phenomenon?

I think this is why western world is going crazy over RRR. The kind of bromance Indian films bring out is way too aspirational. They crave for somethimg like that, not being judged for showing affection. Friends had many scenes where Joey and Chandler hug, which is one of the reasons why the show crosses boundaries and generations and speaks to a larger audience. The whole non-sexual affection thing is so wholesome. Its great that such things are promoted in India.

      2. Most western ideas are Moneyminded Monster businesses For eg, by last 4 centuries of UK domination and not holistic solutions . Why
      3. Most western ideas and educational system itself is self centered selfish oriented ideas 💡 and not supporting mother earth and against nature and natural values of universal cosmos.
      4. Most western ideas are dominative ideas. How to do dominate or indoctrination of facts and truths 🤔
      5. Most western ideas are military centric businesses and creating businesses which leads to 100s of battles n fights and war. Outcomes are 100 war since last century. World War 1 and 2 are best examples which started by Western nations.
Most of the times Britain, UK and USA wants to win at any cost. By hook or crooks.

last year when i would sleep, through my bedroom window, i would see a truck parked on the road every night. there used to be two men who would sleep in the lorry of that truck, most probably daily wage labourers. they would sleep and cuddle together, maybe they used to do it unknowingly in their sleep, or maybe they were actually in a relationship(which is quite rare) but the most probable reason i thought would be was loneliness, since they were here in the city, away from their homes and families, and the only love and affection that they could get could be from their friends. thank youu for making a video on this unique topic and helping to break the stereotypes of toxic masculinity.

Cuddling while sleeping for Indian man is also very common. Generally it is seen in case of Two brothers who share same bed. In my hostel life I have seen and also experienced this. We ware 3 roommates in a room. After few days of staying together we became closer to each other. We had jointed our 3 beds to make it a bigger one. While sleeping it is very common for us to put hands on other. Sometime we put legs on each other but unknowingly. We had shared blankets in winters and also cuddling each other. Though we avoid these practices in summer. These things are very very common for other hoteliers also. It is not at all sexual.. it is called "Bhai Bhai wala Pyar"....

Anybody who has been to the US will actually know what Mohak is trying to say here.
I see everybody saying that it's normal, it's just being good friends.
But that's not the case in America, I have worked in the Hotel Industry there and found that no 2 guy friends will share a bed how much ever close they are. Even a father and son also are not willing to share a bed.
It's something very common. They just don't touch each other for no reason. They might shake hands formally and give a hug but if that exceeds by a second they are too uncomfortable.

Indians are mostly codependent and enmeshed group of people, that’s why holding hands is okay. White folks are independent individuals, they don’t have that “NEED” for touch of assurance. its cool buddy. nothing wrong if men do it. But people judge when it comes to helping your "better half" in household chores. This is due to patriarchy. Lots of boomer generation parents don't teach their boys this, as they have this mentality, that household chores are for girls, which is very wrong.
