  • Why do some people in India react with discomfort or even disgust to the LGBTQIA+ community? Why do we see a range of responses, from acceptance to denial, when it comes to understanding queerness? In this video essay, we venture into these questions, trying to decipher the complex layers of culture, psychology, and history that shape our reactions.
We dive into topics from our religious texts to the biological basis of our emotions, explore the societal norms around gender roles, and even look into the fascinating connection between creativity and queer identities. This exploration is not just informative but deeply personal. Please note, the video discusses some sensitive topics, and hence, viewer discretion is advised. Join us on this enlightening journey and contribute to this important conversation.

The essence of our society is currently now one of hatred, jealousy and intolerance. We're a beautiful country but we lack the tools necessary to perceive how our diversity and stories are a gift and not something to fight with eachother about.

Aarvey's story really hurts when you think what he could have been if he was alive, he would have become an artist or musician. But because of bullying he died in depression. This is what homophobia and toxic masculinity does, it turns you into a monster who hates a boy just because he is good at art or music and not fighting or sports. When you bully someone and just say "its just a joke", its not a joke. A joke is supposed to make the reciver happy not depressed. A label is not just a label, its a sword, a sword that stabs you whenever you think or hear about it. Homophobia isn't a phobia, you are aren't scared of us, you are a monster who hates people for having totally normal emotions.

welllllll, I do not want to say something that can make someone angry as this is a very sensitive issue but in my opinion, toxic masculinity is nothing, there is a reason for everything to exist, and masculine behaviour also has reasons to exist, like Ashris said, masculine behaviour is needed to take risks and to maintain order/discipline. so please advise everyone not to use harsh words such as "Monster". I know there is a perfect reason for you to be angry and it is fine but it would be better if we keep our heads cool. Thank You.

Fast forward to my clg days, I got proposal from my classmate in my 2nd year. That time I was pretty much aware of the fact that these kind of people exist. I reacted calmly and told him I'm not interested in boys.He was cool with it and we still r good friends.
Now when I think about my past incident I feel ashamed on myself for abusing those 3 school friends of mine.I would love to talk to them personally and beg a pardon for being a jerk. Anik, Dev and otherone if u r reading this comment, I'm sorry man . Wishing you all the very best. Live your life as u wish.

Crying my eyes out right now. I am pansexual and when I came out to my mother two years ago, we had a massive argument and since then we both pretend that the conversation never happened. I try so hard to educate people about queerness but some people just.. do not want to listen to anything they don't already agree with. I am so glad you made this video. This is so well researched. It's sad that the people who actually need to watch this video will probably never watch it. They will scroll past it. But I hope and pray that someday that changes and people can live in more harmony and acknowledge and accept their differences.

    Hey!
You made me cry. A lot. Being queer is an everyday struggle. Everyday that I choose to be myself and digress from the set norms, I stand on thin ice, not knowing what hysterical amount of backlash I’ll face. I’m happy that you’ve given space to this conversation. Simply because of my gender identity, my worth is trumped upon and it’s heartbreaking to an extent where sometimes I reach a threshold. And yet I stand, because maybe, just maybe someone out there sees me embracing myself and wills to do too.

CORRECTION: The male gamete does not contain both the chromosomes! It contain only one which is either X or Y. The egg contains the other gamete which is always X.
So when both the gametes combine : X from the female + (X or Y) from the male, we get either XX or XY. This is how babies have characteristics of its mother as well, both male and female contribute equally to the kid's genetics. It is just that the male's gamete decides whether it's a boy or a girl.

The LG logo on the thumbnail hints at the common ridicule for LGBT people as LGTV has become a taunting euphemism for LGBT community. The tapestry of AI-generated imagery, harmoniously interwoven with the mellifluous strains of Sounds of Isha's ethereal composition, "Bloom," bestows upon the video an aura of sheer masterfulness. Through its artful portrayal it deftly encapsulates the depths of our Indian culture allowing individuals to discern the inclusiveness that resides within our collective consciousness.

Yes adultery is fine, cheating on your wife is fine, cheating on your husband is fine, but if your wife complain that you abuse her ALLEGEDLY, you are screwed
Oh yes two 15 years old can engage in protective intercourse but can't get married and if one of them is 18 that dude is screwed. 220 IQ move

      1) homosexual act such as sodomy has 6 times higher chances to led to HIV then regular intercourse.
      2) transgender (Male with penis that identifies as women) children in democrat States in America go through gender affirmation surgery responsible for chopping of genitalia and breast
      3) these children recieve hormones of opposite gender leding to hair loss in female and serious depression in males
      4) children are given drugs that are given to convicted child abusers
      5) irreversible chances are made through puberty blockers which led to mid life crisis and lifetime regret.

I loved that you brought up this topic. Queerness is something most people do not comprehend, especially the older generation. I think it is the lack of knowledge and understanding about the topic itself. I also loved how you started with disgust and ended on disgust. The best part was that you didn't preach about what to do, how to accept it or get over 'homophobia'. You just said that queerness has always been there in the society and will always remain and how one wants to go about it is their call. Loved it Ashris 💕👌

This is today's India where people are forgetting their true SANATAN dharma . People bash Abrahamic religion but then ironically support them by following their rules. the last story made me cry so hard... as a queer person I have to face homophobia everywhere im open in my college in social media etc. i even got bullied so hard for a Instagram comment saying the same thing you did "homosexuality isn't a western culture but homophobia is". I have recieved death threats by DMs my classmates makes fun of me behind my back and all... so I've stopped defending my sexuality all along. i already have clinical depression so i try to stay away from them but this video explained homophobic very simply so i wish they could understand half of these things

I loved the video. This channel inspired me in spades. I sadly was and still am kind of apathetic to the plight that queer people go through in our communities.
I remember making fun of the slightly effeminate kids in school, I wouldn't bully... just sarcastic insensitive comments. I have since grown up and treat every queer person I meet with respect, but I still snigger at homophobic jokes in straight company.
I realise the harm that weaves into our psyche. I will try to be better.
Thank You. This video has been a delight and enlightening. ❤️

This is the same thing 🕉️sanatan scripture 🕉️ say about Lesbian & gay. Our sanatan supports these things not oppose .
Example: Sun temple, konark temple , kamasutra etc
In hinduism many characters were gay & lesbian& transgender by birth & by choice.
    Example : Shikandi
Even God Ayanappa was born from a transgender avatar of vishnu & Bhadra avatar of Lord Shiva to kill Rakshasi Mahishi. He is famously worshipped in south region of india.
Usually same sex people used to have Gandharav Vivah ( kind of love marriage ) . In hinduism , Two Gandharavs ( male ) had famous love story & had Gandharav Vivah . their name was Mitra & Varun.
    (Reference rigved)
These things were normal in india in pre ISLAMIC era ☪️

Lmao...don't drag religion into this....and for your kind info...no every ancient book is religious...kamasutra is not religious....you want to follow religion when it suits you?...manusmriti is main religious text...you want to impliment it?....don't drag religion into your madness...

@@hajimeisayama9842 true why not implementing manusmiriti 😊 it is a really good book unlike sharia law( a girl can be married even if she is just 2 days old ) here women marriage is decided by women herself & average age of marriage is 18- 19 yrs for girl & 25 yrs for boy. Manusmiriti does not divide people by their birth cast but rather on their karm or profession.
If u have questions about manusmiriti u can watch following channels with reference they will show u manusmiriti.
      1. Sanatan Samiksha
      2. Heated debates.
Kamasutra is sanatan religious text.but sanatan has no MAIN religious text neither kamasutra nor manusmiriti . & manusmiriti is not our main religious text , it is not even given 10% of preference bcoz we have 18 more smritis & manusmiriti is one of them.
If we want implement any smriti , we would go through every sanatan smriti not just manusmiriti
And unlike islamic sharia which says to behead gay & lesbians. Sanatan supports 🕉️ them & accept their love.
and about dragging religion, Santana is not religion but Dharma 🕉️ . And Sanatan is history of this land , why people like u who r blinded by their abrahmic madness ideology is denying it ?? Idk the reason of your jealousy when your ancestors were themselves hindu ??
This land called bharat is land of hindus. Our civilization was richest when It was filled with hindu ideology unlike abrahmic ones where kafirs r considered to be s*x slaves.
Learn about Abrahmic ideologies islam by following channel
      1. Adam Seeker
      2. Ex muslim sahil
      3. Ex muslim zafar Heretic.

You are an idiot. Shikhandi was not a Transgender but a Male Avatar of Amba. Kamasutra is not a Dharmashastra so it has no bearing on Hinduism. Lord Ayappa is Male Brahmachari. Lord Vishnu takes a Female avatar nd Shiva takes a Male Avatar for birth of Lord Ayyappa. Aur Gandharva Vivah is not vivah of lesbians nd gays. It is a marriage that is done in secret which is based purely on love nd only permitted for Kshatriyas nd other Varnas.
