    Summary:
    1) Personalization: Make recommendations on an individual basis using big data.
For example, he makes a recommendation system (sort of like how TH-cam or Netflix does) to help find good places for wealthy clients who want an excellent vacation based on their personal needs.
He also works with vacation businesses to help them find their ideal customers.
    2) Distribution: Finding ways to get thing A to B as efficiently as possible.
Sidenote: All of his customers have a lot of money.
That includes rich individuals and large organizations.

Very nicely done. Big Data is MORE than just a buzzword. When someone is able to REALLY UNDERSTAND what the data means (without the fancy technical jargon and sales hyperbole), it TRULY becomes a meaningful and powerful tool.

Hi Mathias, I found the talk inspiring. Ive searched a lot around for concrete examples on how to monetize big data, but all articles or youtube videos I found was quite dull or technical. I like your very basic approach to it.

Nice speach, very basic and light in the understanding of BigData but Mathias Lundo Nielsen made an excellent draft overview about that

Sonny Brown I laughed I am appalled by the lack of humor some of you people have, it was a joke, even if it didn’t land it’s not a big deal. “What is this, 2005?” I honestly can’t stand you. Bush did 9/11 allahu akbar swag

I think the point people are missing when he said big data being complicated like woman and he meant understanding the data is almost like understanding woman.. when you think you understand them you are truly mistaken, and thats what he means not any negative reference just a reference to being how hard it may be to truly understand woman completely

Lol @ the odd "Complicated like women" streak. Dont think he meant ill...and think he still kicks himself to this day for it.
Still, @Mathias I like the way you pace your speach. Your pauses and tone. Your content is great and Ill for sure listen to a talk from you if you where this side of the world. Quite a few things to learn on different levels here. Like it.

    Hello
How sell data to big data as open AI ? I have a DB of 25 years of specialized data but the content is reallay specialized and is not intresting for user names, profiles, etc BUT for the content of the interventions itself. It means the intersting part is the content and NOT the users that posted it.

People should be able to sell their data.

    • @Titane-AMS3311
      @Titane-AMS3311 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

General Lee how would you value the data you want to sell? I deeply believe you are right, we should enable people to extract value from their data, the market will balance it then: you overprice it, you don’t sell. You put a price too low, you feel like losing money.

The misuse of the 10.000 hour rule really bothers me more than the reference to women. Anders Ericsson analyzed absolute peak world-class performance. And no if you don't want to be the Tiger Woods of Data Science you dont need to put in 10.000 hours.

Well this video is the next and most transparent “Google” discussions about data but it is not a discussion about the misuse of the data! That is right Google, I am mocking you!!!! Sunder Pichai, please don’t forget your responsibilities to protect our data, oh wait, you forgot that years ago!! 😡😡😡😡

Did he mean the word astronomist? Not astrology! Astrology has nothing to do with astronomy! Big difference astrology are these psychics in whatever predicting what you're going to do from the Stars but astronomy is finding out about our universe and the Stars big difference! And I can tell you this much God determines my future not astrology!
