I really do think my procrastination was related to some sort of intimidation by this project - like somehow I felt like I wasn’t good enough for making that dress! But I am glad I started and this dress is still one of my most favourite dresses and I wear it all the time! ❤️🌸

That is so, so, so kind!!! Thank you so much. So, I bought my sewing machine last year in September, but only properly started sewing in May this year! So the trench coat, was my third sewing project. I just practiced how to sew straight and then went from there. I think a pattern is so helpful when you start out because it's just tells you what to do and when you don't understand, what they're asking you, you can always google it! And I personally really love my Janome 360DC! Love it, and it does what I need it to do, especially since I mainly use it for dressmaking! But I know that Singer and Brother have some great machines too! Does that answer your questions?

It was the pandemic the pushed me to sit down, and yeah, the trench coat was the result of a pandemic and boredom hahaha!
It’s printed cotton! It was a very basic fabric I got from a shop called “Fabric Galore” here in London. But incredibly soft and flowy which is what I would recommend for this project! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I used a light weight woven cotton! Very soft! Don't know the exact name of it, because I was in a shop when I bought it, so I paid more attention to the price tag (HELLO) and the feel of it rather than the name. But I feel that this dress can be made out of so many types of fabric! XXX

Thank you so much. I think to lift the neckline higher you just have to add more shirring lines so that you make sure your bodice is long enough to cover your chest and waist! Hope this helps. Xxx

@@pipu2008 Hi, so if your bust is 38 inches you need to add 14 inches to that (half of your bust) meaning you will need your fabric to be 52 inches wide. The formula mentioned in the video is your bust + half of your bust. Hope this helps.

So to take 52 is whole body measurement or to take 52 for frond and 52 for back? Mean frond+back=104
