    Mind you, that for the histogram, the jpg settings are used. Also when you shoot raw. So having shadows +4 for example, will make the histogram go to the left. If you are compensating for that in your exposure, your raw will get more light than you might think. So also when shooting raw, I would set the jpeg settings to 0.

    You’re literally the first person that’s actually gone do the settings which are your personal settings and I put the try them out and it’s amazing!Very chill video! Thank you for your video, this really means a lot. I just bought the Fujifilm x100v have a lot to learn how to use it! Thanks again!

    Mannnnnnn! Those images in the beginning are freaking spectacular! I had to go all the way back to watch the beginning again after the video was finished!

      @@thomas.kovacik I just finished shooting a gender reveal and was planning to use it as my secondary camera. Turns out the space I was at was way to small, so I shot the whole thing with the x100v. Your video was what I clicked on once I left just cause I like to listen to stuff on TH-cam on the way home. I was stopped for a good while as soon as your images came on lol

    Thanks for taking the time to do the video. I just recently purchased a X-100V. I agree with you about enjoying a smaller camera more. I owned a full frame Canon, but didn't take it along much because it was so big and heavy. I'm getting older and it started to bother my back a bit. So, I'm hoping the X-100V will help get me out there and enjoying shooting again. Thanks.

      course! This camera is just so fun to bring along, I dont know why it took me so long to look away from professional cameras, I felt like I needed the best of the best for personal life. Which is totally not true haha
      The x100v should definitely help you get out there! it definitely makes you want to pick it up and bring it

      love it! yeah having it setup for aperture priority has helped me a ton! I know manual settings, but man its just more fun to shoot this way haha. Especially having the 3 auto ISO min / max values

    I'm surprised you don't have a shortcut to the ND filter, that was the first thing I did to mine. Its so handy to have, especially if you want nice bokeh during the day 😅 - Great video though, I have a love and hate relationship with mine but I don't think I could ever let it go. Such a cool camera and easy to bring with you anywhere. There isn't anything like it on the market, unless you have $5K for the Leica Q2 lol. Its nice to know there are other Fujifilm shooters who also shoot raw 🙂

      Haha I actually do! I hold down the front button to the right or left, forget which. It's the button that switches from OVF/EVF. Forgot to touch on it I think, I primarily use it for video though. thanks! yeah it's ridiculously fun and easy to carry. for the price it's hard to beat! Yeah those q2's look insanely fun. I do really enjoy those fuji colors, I haven't wanted to switch out this x100v and I don't think I will for a while.

    Aperture priority allows your depth of field to drive your photography by day. At night I’m wide open, shutter at 160, and iso is my variable

    Hi! I recently added the Hoage lens hood to my x100v, but how do you add the filter (49mm protection) on with the hood?

    • @thomas.kovacik
      @thomas.kovacik  ปีที่แล้ว

      hey! it should include an adapter ring to be able to attach your lens filter underneath the hood

    This is definitely one of those camera I have on the list to want to own, especially in silver, I'm using my x-t3 more and more these days, my R5 is definitely not taken out as much at the moment, cos I do feel sometimes like not wanting to carry a big camera around all the time..

    • @thomas.kovacik
      @thomas.kovacik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Love it! Yeah that's a big reason why I didn't snag a R5 or something similar for photography. I bring this x100v everywhere, it's just so fun to shoot on! I never thought about owning a camera that inspires you. I always wanted the highest quality possible, but now I really see the value in owning the x100v as my photo camera.

      @@thomas.kovacik agreed! For me a camera that makes u feel excited to pick it up is more important than any camera that has the best specs, even if the feeling may even come from the fact that a camera looks cool to u in my opinion. The single most important thing to me is how a camera makes u feel too cannot be disregarded 👍
