A couple months ago, when I was looking for a puppy from several breeders in my area, one breeder uses and sells this food. What is ridiculous is the breeder wanted me to sign a contract to promise to purchase 2-year of supply of this food from her if I buy a puppy from her. At the time i never heard of suspicious brand and never seen it after anywhere else. So i walked away immediately. I know food companies give free/discounted food to breeders to recommend them to future pet parents. I am just shocked at such “cooperation”.

What I find interesting is that Purina Pro Plan has "all life stages" dog food and they are WSAVA guideline compliant.

Hello Glenn, I just finished reading your book "A Place in Time" and what a wonderful book this was to read. I couldn't put it down! I felt trepidation, sadness and joy all the way through. This reading really touched my soul, and believe it or not, has helped me clear up some questions I had about my own faith! I got so taken by the story of Emma and Wes, it's like I was part of it... I hadn't read a good book in many years and this one came into my life just when I really needed it... A well-written hearfelt book... I could go on and on but all I can say is thank you for this little gem...Now, I have to go start reading "A River Calling" 😻🐕🐾

@@PetFoodPuzzleGuy As Emma said so well: "God has a purpose in all things..." I have caught myself repeating this many times throughout the day since I finished the book. As of before reading your book, I could hardly pronounce the name "God", believe it or not... now He is part of my daily vocabulary, thanks to this wonderful book and Emmas's teachings to Wes...I will never forget this story and will probably read it again... God bless you Glenn, and your family...

15:51 - you would like Dr. Vladimir Beregovoy. He writes a lot about living in the Urals. He's a political dissident who fled the USSR and moved to the USA as an entomologist

I just looked at the Lifes Abundance All Life Stage dog, Chicken. The bag says 26% protein, and the calcium/phosphurous were also not accurate in your video. I'm curious where you found your info. I'd like to look further.

@@nicolekelson3592 you can’t use the bag. The guaranteed analysis is simply minimums and maximums. There’s also % as fed, which is an actual ant but with the moisture still included, which varies in diets. The dry weight analysis, which I use, removes all moisture so gives you a better accurate comparison. The very best is measuring nutrients on a per calorie basis, as real nutritionists would do, but most companies don’t have or won’t share that info. Hope that helps!

Also, this is the first time I've come across your videos. Can you tell me what qualifications you have to be reviewing brands? There is so much info on the internet to sway one way or the other.

@@nicolekelson3592 well I hope you’ll check out a few more! I was a veterinary art rep for Hills for 34 years. I was trained over the years by the very people who created the various therapeutic diets and my job was to share that info with vets and their teams. I loved my job and miss it! So I am simply the messenger, not those brilliant people. I never dreamt of starting a TH-cam channel till I saw the awful misinformation all over TH-cam. I’m not sponsored by anyone so I have the freedom to share what I know objectively and my reviews are all done the same way. I look at the marketing to see how honest it is and finally what’s their nutrient profile. I am definitely biased toward findings of real board certified nutritionists and companies that make great foods. And I am often surprised by what I find. But thanks for the questions and again welcome!

I know you wouldn't review my dog's Nutrisource can dog food (beef & rice), but it does bother me that Nutrisource I noted is "all life stages". Our dog has had SO many issues with about a dozen or so dog foods (not exaggerating), and I don't like that it is all life stages, but he loves it, he has good stomach results and I'm just going to stay put with his current food. I hope it is good for him.

You are just a cornucopia of surprising life stories. I'm starting to think that jumping out of airplanes wasn't even the highlight! LOL Walk away from this food? I walk away from most commercial food. Chicken thighs were on sale $1.29 lb. My cats and I are good for awhile now. Happy Feline Friday!
