The first 10 mins clip was from halo infinite Season 03: Echoes Within released in 2023, the rest are just from halo infinite 2021 we all know of, I was confused because never saw these season 03 cinematic before, hope this helps if you are wondering as well.

Video games have come such a long way in the last 20 years. I remember getting halo 1 shortly after the xbox came out and I was blown away by the graphics and the vastness of the levels in the game and the story. But you compare that with now, its absolutely incredible.
eh now they get half games and micro transaction hell , we used to get the whole game no dlc no none of that crap now not so much the tech has come a long way but the quality of the games has bottomed out .

All them pixels, polygons, color pallettes, aethetic, story telling, QOL and so forth. We trade it for 2 more important things. Our time IRL and our rights and freedoms. I remember 20 years ago being able to talk smack as much as I ate it. You can't do that anymore. Imagine a world where you play a game specifically based on killing people, piss them off with cheap shots until they throw their console, but you say 'certain words' and your 'purchase' just became a realized rental with purcahse of permanent paper weight.
I so look forward to unboxing my Gameboy Color and Pokemon Red tomorrow.

@@trantuananh7523 but also, Locke is a pretty decent written character and even with his prior experience to becoming a spartan he is still only a spartan 4. He’s enhanced by drugs, and his experience will never amount to that of master chief. Chief was abducted as a child with 74 others and brutally trained since a child, and then he underwent augmentation and was enhanced in many different ways and became the best of the spartan 2’s even earning the highest rank of master chief. He is superior to every spartan 4 there is and will ever be, if halo 5 was even remotely close to being lore accurate then chief could have single handed obliterated fire team Osiris
I love how chief at 51:28 was ready for the monitor and didn’t trust them fully because he knows from past experiences how they act.

I did wonder how they would resolve the Cortana arc when I saw what Guardians had to offer. I will say, as a long time player who hasn't played since Halo 4, I really do like the way they settled it. Weapon(the new Cortana copy) is incredibly endearing, and the finger-snapping was a dead giveaway as foreshadowing goes.
However, that didn't detract from the revelation, because she still goes through it, as does John. It really makes for a nice dynamic, because he's torn, and she's new again.
Really great job bringing the story back full circle with that relationship, and a really beautiful way to begin a new one, with a new version of the same personality, with more than a healthy dose of innocence restored to contrast what Cortana became, and remind us all where she started.
As a writer, I applaud the team that brought it here. Huge shoes to fill, and some rocky chapters in between, but where it ended up was actually quite nice.

I don't agree. He's not bad for what's necessary (ferrying Chief and delivering stuff) but a pilot would've dodged the guns that shot him down. But that's reasonable since he wasn't a trained pilot (he stole the Pelican).

I just realized in the ending that Atriox does not have any more facial paint/markings. Did he remove them in mourning because of what Cortana did? Or does it signify something else?
Atriox dies as he tossed Chief out of the hanger. The guy you fight to free Echo(the pilot), is actually the leader of the Banished. Im gonna miss spell his name but it’s Escharum or something …If you would like more of Atriox’s backstory, I recommend playing Halo Wars 2, but if you play the first Halo Wars before playing Halo Wars 2 it does make it better.

@@JTy1995 Escharum is not the leader of the Banished, nor is Atriox dead. Escharum is Atriox's mentor. The one who helped him after his banishment from the covenant. Atriox survived the events of halo infinite as revealed by the legendary ending. It's unclear what happened but the ending implies time travel. Through the books we know the forerunners didn't actively practice this but they had the tech to do it. It's also been shown that slipspace has some temporal effects but no one's ever been able to do anything with it because the events are so scattered.

Spartans I's like Johnson had a cool story. He was a believable character. Underneath all his one liners and vietnam style cigar toting sergeant major-ness was the pain and suffering he endured since Harvest, should delve deeper into his story. Spartan II's were psychologically manipulated, robotic and arguably unstable. Cold. Calculated. Bred to be nothing but "Innie" killers. The Insurrectionists were putting up such a huge fight against the UNSC, ODST's and Marines that UNSC gave Halsey the green light to resurrect the Spartan program. Spartan III's were literally suicide soldiers created on the cheap by ONI, trading armor for cloaking technology to infiltrate and literally kill themselves to take out key Covenant infrastructure. A very sniveling ONI move. Spartan IV's were recruited from the ranks of ODST and Marines. Now this is where Microsoft comes in and ruins it. Every subsequent spartan is not believable. They are not war torn even though by this point humanity knew nothing but war, pain, loss and suffering. This upbeatedness, if that's a word earmarks a fundamental issue - war and calamity does not produce normal people as displayed in subsequent illustrations of Spartans. Microsoft missed the opportunity to describe the poetic irony and tragedy; that you no longer needed to rip humans from their perfect peaceful world and plug them into a sadistic training program to create cold, calculated soldiers. The program is reality. And the ones that survived no nothing but pain and suffering and all the associated trauma that comes along with it. These upbeat 'woke' Spartans don't fit the world that is HALO. But they definitely do fit the our world of wokeism and hiding the crisis of mental health and that we as humans would not stand a chance in a world war just on the mental health sides of things. Making today's HALO a very weak story.

@philongninh nope they're not the same company any more. Bungie left halo before all the different armor was created so they could work on destiny. 343 studios is responsible for halo. Bungie had nothing to do with all the different armor variations in halo. Pretty much just the original mjolnir armor.

Though I am guessing Escharum was introduced long before even Endgame. It's just interesting that they are so much alike. Ok, so what happened to the guy at the beginning (Spartan Din) being tormented by the AI (Iratus)? Suddenly the story abandons him and we never see him again.
The cutscenes at the beginning aren’t really connected to the main story, they are for the multiplayer seasons. Multiplayer has “narrative events” each season, and the story of Spartan Din is one of them. Not sure why the video creator included these.

The coolest times for me anymore are when I can play someone new, other than Master Chief, because you get to see new units and be your own person more. No one character goes on forever. I don't want everything to be about Luke Skywalker, or Anakin, or Harry Potter, or "name the character".
They should either give Master Chief a really cool sendoff, probably in battle saving a lot of people, or just shift the focus to other, newer characters. I liked playing Noble 6, or even the Spartan IVs, because they have more back story as regular people. Eventually the tech will improve, and newer Spartans will be just as good as Spartan IIs, or good enough anyway.

@@Mikoru- I understand. I’m not saying get rid of him, but plenty of people liked playing ODST or Noble 6. I think they could mix it up, at least. Even Star Wars saw some success with Cal Kestis, Ahsoka, and Din Djarin. It is a big galaxy, even in Halo. Otherwise, it will eventually get stagnant.

Just imagine if all it was would take to turn a normal human into a full spartan veteran if all augmentations battle experience training could be given with a simple nsnite injection
It still wouldn't matter. You'd only get the knowledge, not the experience. As a soldier, you'd need to be able to have the physical and mental capacity to make full use of that knowledge, otherwise you get a psychotic killer on the one hand, or a shell of a person that is too traumatized to do anything on the other hand.
Not to mention, not EVERYONE has the ability to be a good soldier. What do you do if you gave all that battle tech to someone and that person refuses to be a soldier or chooses to use those skills for criminal enterprises? :/
