    Thank you for this lesson, it's finally good to see some important verbs in the infinite form. And actually, it would be even more efficient if you were showing simple examples. At the moment, the examples given for most of the verbs are complicated sentences for a beginnner, assuming that if a person doesn't know these verbs, they can't possibly know the past, future, present perfect etc. Using the present with only 3 or 4 words per sentence would enhance my student experience. Thank you!

    So, please with many of these verbs karnaa must also be used and there ending chances based on what?

    • @hindipod101
      @hindipod101  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi J,
      Thanks for your question.
      As far as I understand you want to know when the verb "karaNaa" is added. "KaraNaa" basically means "to do" and can be added to any noun to get an action. For example, "to accept" is "Sviikaar karaNaa" (literal translation - to do acceptance) or "to clean" is "Saafaai karaNaa" (literal translation - to do cleanliness. In these words, the usual stem used in Hindi "naa" is not added at the end of the word. For example, in "boLaNaa" or "to speak". So, we add "to do" after the noun to get an action.
      I hope that helps.
      All the best!

    How do you know which form of the verb to use? Then there is karNaa used with a couple of verbs; what to do with it? Knowing the meanings of the other words would be helpful.

      Hi Roger,
      You are right. Correct Hindi is "aap kahaan hain". But in spoken Hindi, it has become common to use "ho" with "aap". Therefore, "aap kahaan ho" can also be used, but mostly in spoken language. In written language, it is still more common to use "aap kahaan hain".
