    I am french and have moved abroad. Unfortunately, I have never been in countries with English as official language. I have learned by myself. This cours is helpful for people who don't master tones well enough. I remember one time we gathered with several people coming from England, USA and Australia. What a suffrance as I was a beginner at that time! Currently, I am studying another language with very sensitive tones which make change the meaning including 5 tones. Thank you for your precious advices and very clear voice. You've gotten a thumb!

    I very glad that now people who speak different languages can talk to each othe other, and for this it is not necessary to each other, and for this it is not necessary to study a new language for years. Let's continue to make steps towards each other! For learning English has always been a wonderful hoppy, but due to the inability to communicate with native speakers and the lack of money for a good teacher, it was difficult for me to understand my level of language proficiency. Now with the advent of an online translator, i am happy to meet people who live in other countries, and this is great probably the main idea that every person needs to realize and accept in this difficult time is that we are people, politics, religion, financial prosperity, thousands of kilometers of of water and land are trying to divide us,but at the same time, for me,sometimes an American who sincerely talks about his life in a blog is kinder than aliving neighbor on the same street with me, and for 10 years he has never said" hello! How are you?" With fervent greetings from Pakistan Usually i don't study after my supper but today when i encountered this video in the evening

      True. And the “shwee” at the beginning sounds odd. I think it’s because many people don’t follow the “use shall for first person rule,.” In fact, it can even sound rather formal. So when people do say it then tend to fully pronounce it-or at least sound like “shallwe” if they were to say this sentence.
      Finally, the “shwee” could just be how people might say it in his dialect.

      Nicolas Albert.

    I found this video totally by chance and clicked only out of curiosity.
    I am pretty confident in my listening and speaking skills in english although it's not my native language.
    I am quite happy to see I wasn't being mistaken on my skills.
    Yet this video is very interesting and helpful even for me.
    I had a very hard time, for years, getting these things you talk about in your video.
    Still I don't think I have a british accent, although I really worked for years on getting it, but I guess I'm close enough.
    Apparently enough to have americans and canadians thinking that I actually am british.
    It's very hard to get the subtleties of a spoken language. I mainly had to learn through listening as many times as needed, uk tv shows(without subtitles 😂)... For real!!
    It helped a lot to get every little tips you give in this video, so today I can measure how useful is this video for non natives.
    I guess every language can be difficult for a non native to understand on first hearing... I do myself contract a lot of words and sentences in my own mother tongue.
    Sometimes so much that now I have to do an effort and be careful to clearly pronounce the words without contracting them too much, because even relatives happen not to get what I say... I guess this must be because of being used to adopt this contracting tendancy when I speak english and that I reproduce it when speaking french 😅
    Anyway, I just would like to tell you that doing this type of video is really cool of you! It can really help people, I'm saying it only in case you didn't already know.
    I wish the best to everyone who wants to improve their english. And don't forget, that no matter how good you are; there is always a way to improve your linguistic skills a little more.
    That's why I looked at this vid, because I thought that maybe it could be helpful even to me, even if I have nothing do be ashamed of about my english level.

    I can honestly say in my 2 decades of being a native English speaker I have never heard anyone pronounce "shall we" as "shwe" mostly because people don't often use "shall" in every day language, it's more often used dramatically or ironically and as such is enunciated separately

    • @Dhzury
      @Dhzury 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He sounds British, “shall” is used heavily in British English, from what i’ve been exposed to. As is “shwe”. This is coming from a American though, and I understand our accents are pretty strange to others too lol

    • @stevenreynolds8287

      As a native English speaker in the U.S, I and most others I know use "shall" quite often. But I'm sure it's probably because of the area I live. When I traveled across the country a few years ago, it was pointed out to me that my speaking habits were odd. Mostly using phrases like "fixing to". I find it funny and fascinating how it seems like our language can subtlety change in just a few hundred miles, or even a few citys/towns over.

    • @Dhzury
      @Dhzury 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevenreynolds8287 absolutely. I am from the Urban Southeast USA, so my speaking habits are substantially different than those of people just a few miles out of the city. It’s absolutely crazy just how diverse the United States is alone, let alone combined with all the other English speaking areas of the world. Mind boggling.

    I am very glad that now people who speak different languages can talk to each other, and for this it is not necessary to study a new language for years. Let's continue to make steps towards each other!
    For me, learning English has always been a wonderful hobby, but due to the inability to communicate with native speakers and the lack of money for a good teacher, it was difficult for me to understand my level of language proficiency. Now with the advent of an online translator, I am happy to meet people who live in other countries, and this is great.
    Probably the main idea that every person needs to realize and accept in this difficult time is that we are all people, politics, religion, financial prosperity, thousands of kilometers of water and land are trying to divide us, but at the same time, for me, sometimes an American who sincerely talks about his life in a blog is kinder than a living neighbor on the same street with me, and for 10 years he has never said "hello! How are you?"
    With fervent greetings from Russia!

    when learning language, we just need to adjust ourselves to make it natural at first, make it comfortable to ourself. Unfortunately, some people who just start learning paid too many attention to "detail" when it'll only blur the focus of the context. So, chill guys~
